Abstract

The method for their preparation consists in the condensation of an appropriately substituted 2-phenyl-3-hydroxy (or acetyl)-2,3-dihydro-1,5-benzothiazepin-4(5n)-one with dimethylaminoethanol with a formula in which z stands for hydrogen , a lower alkylsulfonyl, arylsulfonyl or sulfo group and the resulting product is optionally converted to a pharmaceutically acceptable addition salt by addition of acid. 7 claims
