Abstract

The bridge connects two river banks and is designed for transition of people and light or heavy vehicles.The bridge has a combined pontoon - rope bearing structure, including floating pontoons (34) with build on them metal grid structures (49), through which, from bank to bank bearing ropes (31) pass, on which on beams (33) road platforms (9) are mounted. The floating pontoons (34) are fixed between pairs of columns (52), erected in the water. On the two opposite banks, pairs of end bearing columns (1) are mounted respectively, onto which the bearing ropes (31) are attached. At a distance from both banks, in the water, a pair of stabilizing columns (20) is erected, while between them and the bearing columns (1) moving platforms (6) are mounted, driven by a crane system (10). On each pontoon (34), a generator (38) and an electric motor with blades (48) are mounted for compensation of the pushing away of the pontoon (34) by the river flow. The crane system (10) elevates the bridge for the passage of large vessels underneath. The power supply of the motor drives of the bridge is provided by the water flow by means of water generators, by photovoltaic cells, and if necessary, from an external source.
