La présente invention se rapporte à un article à fumer tel que cigarette généralement munie d'un filtre limitant l'absorption de nicotine et autres produits nocifs.
La plupart des cigarettes actuellement disponibles sur le marché sont munies d'un embout filtré et ont une longueur imposée.
Lorsqu'on allume une cigarette on est obligé soit de la fumer en entier, soit d'en jeter une partie plus ou moins importante parce qu'on n'a plus envie de continuer ou parce qu'on n'a plus le temps nécessaire de la fumer entièrement.
Dans ce cas, il est également possible d'éteindre la cigarette et de la rallumer quelque temps après. Toutefois il est établi que le fait de rallumer une cigarette entamée est très nocif et néfaste pour la santé.
Il se pose dès lors le besoin pour le consommateur de pouvoir choisir et déterminer d'avance la quantité ou la longueur de cigarette qu'il désire entamer.
Le but de la présente invention est de proposer un article à fumer tel qu'une cigarette qui offre la possibilité au consommateur de pouvoir choisir la longueur de cigarette dont il a envie ou pour laquelle il dispose du temps nécessaire pour la fumer en entier.
A cet effet, l'article à fumer est composé
d'un produit.à fumer coupé et enroulé dans une enveloppe tubulaire caractérisé en ce que chaque extrémité de cette enveloppe tubulaire est munie d'un embout filtré.
Avantageusement l'enveloppe tubulaire, habituellement constituéede papier très mince ou d'une feuille de tabac, sera munie sur sa longueur d'au moins un repère ou zone de rupture de manière à pouvoir soit enlever
un embout filtré, soit sectionner ou rompre l'enveloppe tubulaire en deux longueurs égales ou différentes
munies chacune d'un embout filtré.
L'invention sera décrite plus en détail à l'aide d'un exemple de réalisation dans lequel référence est faite aux figures ci-jointes dans lesquelles :
- la figure 1 est une vue en perspective de l'article selon l'invention ;
- la figure 2 est une vue en élévation montrant les possibilités de choix entre longueurs variables.
Sur la figure 1 on a montré une cigarette 10 selon l'invention. Elle est composée d'une enveloppe tubulaire 12 dans laquelle est disposé le produit à fumer tel que du tabac. Les extrémités de cette enveloppe tubulaire 12 sont munies d'embouts filtrés 14
et 16.
Pour fumer une cigarette de longueur normale,
il suffit d'enlever un des deux filtres 14 ou 16. Afin de partager la cigarette 10 ou bien si on souhaite seulement en fumer une partie, il suffit de sectionner ou de rompre l'enveloppe tubulaire 12 à l'endroit voulu.
Avantageusement, et comme illustré à la figure 2, l'enveloppe tubulaire 12 sera munie de repères ou zones de rupture telles que par exemple 20,
22, 24 et 26.
Afin de faciliter la rupture, ces repères seront éventuellement préperforés ou réalisés comme zones de faible résistance.
Ainsi le consommateur pourra choisir, selon l'exemple représenté, entre une longueur normale L de cigarette en sectionnant le filtre 16 en 20, la moitié L/2, un tiers L/3 ou un quart L/4 en sectionnant la cigarette respectivement en 22, 24 ou 26.
L'article à fumer selon l'invention offre des avantages multiples dans les domaines suivants :
a) santé : - diminution de la quantité de tabac fumé
- évite de devoir rallumer une cigarette entamée
- moindre absorption de nicotine et autres produits nocifs
- permet de partager une cigarette entre deux personnes de manière hygiénique b) économique : - permet l'utilisation de la quantité appropriée
- évite de devoir jeter une longueur plus ou moins importante de la cigarette non 'achevée
- permet le partage de cigarettes entre plusieurs personnes au lieu d'entamer chaque fois une cigarette entière
- permet une conservation plus longue de la cigarette du fait que le produit à fumer est complètement enfermé c) social : - offre la possibilité de pouvoir partager sa cigarette entre amis
- possibilité d'impact publicitaire d) psychologique :
- l'utilisateur peut choisir librement la longueur de cigarette qu'il désire fumer
- évite les frustrations dues au gaspillage de cigarette non achevée.
Bien entendu diverses modifications peuvent être apportées par l'homme de l'art à l'objet qui vient d'être décrit uniquement à titre d'exemple non limitatif sans sortir du cadre de l'invention.

1. Article à fumer composé par un produit à fumer coupé et enroulé dans une enveloppe tubulaire, caractérisé en ce que chaque extrémité de cette enveloppe tubulaire (12) est munie d'un embout filtré (14,16).

In Figure 1 a cigarette 10 according to the invention has been shown. It is composed of a tubular envelope 12 in which the smoking product such as tobacco is placed. The ends of this tubular casing 12 are provided with filtered end pieces 14
and 16.
To smoke a normal length cigarette,
it suffices to remove one of the two filters 14 or 16. In order to share the cigarette 10 or else if one wishes only to smoke a part of it, it suffices to cut or break the tubular casing 12 at the desired location.
Advantageously, and as illustrated in FIG. 2, the tubular casing 12 will be provided with marks or rupture zones such as for example 20,
22, 24 and 26.
In order to facilitate breaking, these markers may be pre-punched or made as areas of low resistance.
Thus the consumer will be able to choose, according to the example shown, between a normal length L of cigarette by cutting the filter 16 at 20, half L / 2, a third L / 3 or a quarter L / 4 by cutting the cigarette respectively by 22, 24 or 26.
The smoking article according to the invention offers multiple advantages in the following fields:
a) health: - decrease in the amount of smoked tobacco

Of course various modifications can be made by those skilled in the art to the object which has just been described solely by way of nonlimiting example without departing from the scope of the invention.
