Abstract
Dans ce procédé de fabrication carbothermique d'un alliage de ferrobore, à cuve de dépot, dans un four électrique. On travaille avec un lit de fusion dont les porteurs de carbone sont constitués par du bois en morceaux d'une taille comprise entre 5 et 250 mm, et une quantité de 35 à 65% en poids en valeur rapportée globalement à la quantité de porteurs de carbone, et que l'on conserve pour le lit de fusion une épaisseur de couche, dans laquelle le bois est cokéfié à sec pour former du charbon de bois. Application notamment à la fabrication de verres métalliques.
