Abstract

Procédé pour convertir l'azote de type Ib inclus dans le diamant en azote de type Ia Il consiste à soumettre ce cristal à une température de recuit allant de 1500 degrés C à 2 200 degrés C environ sous une pression qui empêche une graphitisation significative de ce cristal à cette température de recuit pendant une période de temps suffisante pour convertir au moins environ 20 % de la quantité totale d'azote de type Ib présent dans le cristal en azote de type Ia. Application à la fabrication d'abrasif.
