 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 EMI1.1

  Descriptive memorandum filed in support of a B D'INVENTION request in the name of: Jean HEINDRICHS for: "Scaffolding".

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   The present invention relates to a scaffolding for the repair of a building and aims to achieve such scaffolding whose assembly is rapid and whose size is reduced.

   Scaffolding known for repairing a building is large and cumbersome because it rests on the ground or is suspended by ropes and mittens.

  Hence the placement and removal of such scaffolding is costly.

   The object of the present invention is to create a simple scaffolding, which applies to a single floor of the building and which can be easily assembled and disassembled to, if necessary, be reassembled to another floor of the building.

   A scaffolding according to the invention is of the tubular type by fitting and is characterized in that it consists of a platform extending along the appropriate floor of the building, against which it is supported, and comprising means fixing intended to take support and to be housed inside this floor of the building.

   According to the invention the scaffolding is constituted by at least two horizontal elements connected between them by a suitable floor, each horizontal element surmounting a vertical element intended to serve as a support against a facade, extending outwards and upwards by a vertical element and coming inwardly connecting to

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 a prop intended to bear on the floor and the ceiling of the floor of the building and comprising at least one horizontal element of the jack type coming to bear against the internal facade of this floor.

   To better understand the invention, it is now described on the basis of the appended drawing, by way of example only, showing a section in a scaffolding according to the invention.

   A scaffolding produced in accordance with the invention comprises assemblies 1, as shown, connected between them by planks or other pieces of wood 2.

   An assembly consists of a horizontal element 3 projecting on the one hand outside the building and on the other hand in the room 4 on the floor envisaged through the window opening 5. This horizontal element surmounts a vertical element 6, which comes to rest against the external facade 7 of the building by means of a wedge 8, the thickness of which can be adjusted relative to the projecting edge 9 of the window of the building.

   At one end, this horizontal element 3 is extended outwards and upwards by a vertical element 10, which carries towards its top a ring 11 for the insertion of a railing bar 12 connecting the various assemblies 1.

   At its other end, inside the room, this horizontal element 3 is connected via a connection 13 ′ to an adjustable prop 13, which stands between the floor and the ceiling of the room. On this prop 13, by means of a connector 13 ", is mounted a horizontal element 14 of the jack type coming to bear against the internal facade of the room under the window. It is also advantageous to provide the same jack at the top from the local.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

   To facilitate the rapid assembly and disassembly of such an assembly, the various elements 3, 10, 13 ', 13 "and 14, made of tube, fit into one another and are fixed between them so adjustable by fixing pins 16.

   To further stabilize the assembly, the horizontal element 13 has lugs 17 which connect to the jack 14.

   Thanks to a scaffolding according to the invention, it is possible to work on the facade on any floor of a building without clutter on the ground and without mounting a complicated structure. It suffices to assemble the various elements of an assembly through the opening of a window of the floor envisaged and to link together the various assemblies by a floor.
