Description

  "Lits superposés pliants".

 <EMI ID=1.1>

pliant.

 <EMI ID=2.1>

rieur.

 <EMI ID=3.1>

 <EMI ID=4.1>

  "Folding bunk beds".

 <EMI ID = 1.1>

folding.

We already know multiple realizations of folding beds. In the folded position the bed can be hidden in a box.

 <EMI ID = 2.1>

laughing. In this type of folding bed, the bed base is produced in two substantially identical parts. and it can bend along a central axis.

However, there are no such beds for

 <EMI ID = 3.1>

housing of small surface area or for caravans or vans fitted out for tourism.

The invention proposes to overcome this drawback

 <EMI ID = 4.1>

can be retracted in the folded position in a box of minimum size.

In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention, the two bunk beds will bear at each of their longitudinal ends on a frame com carrying a bottom, the junction of the two frame elements forming the final housing of the bed accommodation in the folded position.

According to another advantageous embodiment, part of the bottom of each frame will constitute the rigid base of one of the beds, preferably the upper bed. This results in a significant saving insofar as a single metal base is necessary. For a slightly higher cost price, we therefore double the capacity compared to a folding single bed.

The invention will be better understood with the aid of the description below with reference to the appended drawings in which:
FIG. 1 is a side view in partial section of the stacking folding beds according to the invention in the position of use,
FIG. 2 is a side view in partial section of the superposed folding beds conforming to the invention in the position of use, during the folding or unfolding operation, the upper bed having already been or still being folded,
- Figure 3 is a side view in partial section of the assembly according to the invention in the closed position.

Figure: 4: represents an assembly method between them <EMI ID = 5.1>

The device essentially comprises two substantially identical frame elements (1,2).

These frame elements support two bunk beds respectively lower (3) and upper (4).

The lower bed is in one piece and is articulated in the middle along a folding axis (5) (see Figure 2). It rests 3 its ends on pivot axes (6,7) and possibly on cleats or stops (6,9), possibly retractable. Without departing from the scope of the invention, it is not possible to use pivot axes (6,7). In this case, the bed is only placed on cleats of the type (8, 9) and provision will also be made for stops so that the bed cannot slide relative to the frames.

At the level of the folding axis (5), there will be a base (10) which will reinforce the lower bed and avoid excessively high stresses at the level of the axis (5) and support points on the frames ( 1,2).

The upper bed (4) is advantageously made up of two totally separable parts (11,12) articulated around axes (13,14) each supported by one of the elements (1,2).

According to the representation of Figure 3, we see that the rigid base elements (11,12) form in the closed position of the assembly part of the bottom of the housing (15).

Finally at least one of the elements (1,2) will be provided with rollers (16) allowing its easy approximation of the other element.

As regards the joining between the elements (11,12) in the position of use, this will be achieved for example by providing on each of the elements a support piece
(17,18), one of the parts comprising a groove (13) in which fits a rib (20) of the other part.

1. Foldable bed, characterized in that it consists of a lower bed (3) and an upper bed (4), the two beds can be folded away in the folded position in a box (15) of minimum size .
