La présente invention concerne un dispositif modulaire destiné au conditionnement de produits tels
que des tôles et permettant une manutention aisée
des colis.
Jusqu'à présent les châssis pour servir de base à
des colis de tôles sont réalisés en bois en épaisseur de l'ordre de 130-180mm environ. Cela nécessite
le stockage d'un volume important de bois pour la fabrication des châssis ainsi qu'un volume de stockage appréciable pour l'entreposage des châssis confectionnés. De plus, les colis réalisés avec
ces châssis 'en bois ne peuvent être empilés qu'en nombre limité par suite de l'encombrement vite excessif dû à l'épaisseur de chaque châssis. Enfin, les châssis
en bois doivent être réalisés chaque fois dans des dimensions adaptées à celles des produits à conditionner.
L'invention a pour but de procurer un châssis de
faible épaisseur et qui peut être très simplement assemblé en technique modulaire.
Cet objectif est atteint grâce à l'invention par un châssis métallique réalisé simplement à partir d'une tôle plane. Selon l'invention, ce châssis consiste en une tôle formée en sorte de présenter plusieurs
nervures parallèles faisant saillie sur une même
face de la tôle, ces nervures étant reliée entre
elles par des flans situés dans un même plan, les nervures étant réparties en au moins trois groupes
dans lesquels les deux groupes latéraux sont séparés du groupe central par des flans de largeur prédéterminée.
Un tel châssis peut être réalisé en une pièce à partir d'une tôle plane de dimensions courantes ou
en plusieurs parties constituées de différents modules qui se recouvrent avec emboîtement d'une ou plusieurs nervures l'une dans l'autre.
Ce châssis a notamment les avantages suivants:
1) il présente une résistance mécanique qui permet de porter un colis de 2 mètres de haut environ en une charge totale de l'ordre de 22 tonnes,
2) il permet la manutention directe par autoélévateur grâce aux rainures larges séparant les groupes de nervures latéraux du groupe central, qui peuvent recevoir les palettes d'un autoélévateur,
3) il peut être adapté aisément, par simple adjonction de traverses profilées, pour permettre la prise directe par pont roulant, type COBRA par exemple, quelle que soit la longueur du colis,
4) il peut être réalisé simplement en différentes longueurs par simple recouvrement partiel avec emboîtement de modules comprenant une tôle présentant au moins un groupe de nervures latérales et un groupe central comprenant un nombre variable de nervures.
Un avantage complémentaire, appréciable sur le plan économique, est que le châssis proposé peut être réalisé à partir de tôles de rebut, ce qui permet
une valorisation de ces produits rebuts.
L'invention est exposée plus en détail dans ce qui suit avec référence aux dessins annexés sur lesquels:
la figure 1 est une vue en perpective d'un châssis selon l'invention, la figure 2 illustre schématiquement l'adaptation de palettes d'auto-élévateur, la figure 3 illustre divers modes d'exécution d'un châssis selon l'invention, la figure 4 est une vue éclatée montrant le conditionnement d'un colis sur un châssis selon l'invention.
Le châssis comprend une tale 1 formée pour présenter plusieurs nervures parallèles 2 qui font saillie
sur une même face de la tôle. Ces nervures 2 sont réparties en trois groupes séparés. Les
groupes latéraux A comprennent ici une
nervure 2 chacun, tandis que le groupe central B comprend une ou plusieurs nervures 2 reliées entre elles par des flans 3. Les groupes latéraux A
de nervures 2 sont séparés du groupe central B par des flans 4 plus larges que les flans 3. Les flans 3 et 4 sont situés dans un même plan.
La largeur des nervures 2 est avantageusement choisie à une largeur normalisée de profilés métalliques courants et la largeur des flans 4 entre les groupes latéraux de nervures 2 et le groupe central est avantageusement choisie en sorte de pouvoir recevoir longitudinalement les palettes d'un auto-élévateur comme montré à la figure 2 sur laquelle la référence numérique 5 désigne les palettes d'un auto-élévateur
(non montré).
Le châssis selon l'invention peut être réalisé d'une pièce ou par assemblage de plusieurs éléments.
Dans un mode d'exécution avantageux le châssis est réalisé à partir de deux éléments disposés pour se recouvrir partiellement avec emboîtement. La figure 3 <EMI ID=2.1>
réalisés à partir de deux éléments normalisés. On considérera d'abord le châssis 1 de plus petite largeur. Il est composé de deux éléments identiques

nervure 11 qui formera un groupe latéral A, et une nervure 12 qui formera le groupe central B. L'assemblage du châssis se fait simplement en emboîtant
la nervure 12 d'un élément 10 dans la nervure 12 de l'autre élément.
Les autres châssis représentés sont réalisés d'une manière similaire. Le châssis Il est composé d'un élément 1- formé avec deux nervures 11, 12 et d'un élément 20 formé avec trois nervures 21, 22, 23,
le nervure 23 s'emboîtant dans la nervure 12. Les nervures 11 et 21 forment les deux groupes latéraux A. du châssis tandis que les nervures 22 et 23/12 forment le groupe central B du châssis. Le châssis III diffère du châssis II en ce qu'il se compose de deux éléments identiques 20 ayant leurs nervures 23 emboîtées
l'une dans l'autre.
Le châssis IV se compose d'un élément 20 à trois nervures 21, 22, 23 et d'un élément 30 à quatre nervures 31, 32, 33t 34. Les nervures 21 et 31 forment les groupes latéraux A et le groupe B comprend ici quatre nervures. Le châssis V est composé de deux éléments identiques 30 et le groupe central B comprend cinq nervures.
Le châssis VI est composé d'un élément 30 à quatre nervures 31-34 et d'un élément 40 à cinq nervures
41-45. Dans cet exemple, l'élément 40 constitue par lui-même déjà un châssis selon l'invention avec deux nervures latérales 41,45 et trois nervures centrales 42, 43, 44. La nervure 34 de l'élément 30 s'emboîte dans la nervure 45 de l'élément 40. Les nervures
31 et 41 forment les groupes latéraux A du châssis
VI et les nervures 32, 33, 34/45, 44, 43 et 42 forment le groupe central B.
Les châssis VII et VIII sont tous deux composés
de deux éléments 40 à cinq nervures 41-45. Dans le châssis VII les nervures 44 et 45 de l'un des éléments s'emboîtent dans les nervures 44 et 45 de l'autre élément tandis que dans le châssis VIII seules les nervures 45 s'emboîtent l'une dans l'autre, ce qui permet de réaliser un châssis ayant une largeur supérieure d'une unité modulaire à la largeur du

Les exemples d'exécution illustrés à la figure 3 montrent qu'à partir de quelques éléments normalisés comprenant chacun au moins un groupe de nervures latérales et un groupe central comprenant un nombre variable de nervures, il est possible, selon l'invention, de réaliser tr�s simplement des châssis de largeurs différentes selon les colis à conditionner.
Le conditionnement d'un colis à l'aide d'un châssis métallique selon l'invention est illustré schématiquement par la vue éclatée de la figure 4. Le châssis est placé avec ses nervures 2 vers le bas et les flans 3 et 4 de la tôle vers le haut pour servir d'assise au colis. Des pièces d'assise 6, constituées par exemple par des profilés métalliques des blocs de bois ou d'acier, sont avantageusement logés dans la cavité des nervures latérales, aux extrémités de celles-ci, pour assurer une bonne répartition du poids du colis. Le colis est déposé sur les flans
3 et 4 du châssis et des cornières de stabilisation 7 retiennent le colis sur les côtés. La liaison de l'ensemble est réalisée par des feuillards de cerclage
(non représentés).
Pour permettre la manutention du châssis par un pont roulant; le châssis est posé sur plusieurs traverses 8 constituées d'un profilé métallique.

la tôle, ces nervures (2) étant reliées entre elles par des flans (3--4) situés dans un même plan, les nervures étant réparties en au moins trois groupes dans lesquels les deux groupes latéraux (A) sont séparés du groupe central (B) par des flans (4) de largeur prédéterminées.

The present invention relates to a modular device for packaging products such as

So far the chassis to serve as the basis for
sheet metal packages are made of wood with a thickness of around 130-180mm. This requires
the storage of a large volume of wood for the manufacture of the frames as well as an appreciable volume of storage for the storage of the made-up frames. In addition, packages made with
these wooden frames can only be stacked in limited numbers due to the quickly excessive space requirement due to the thickness of each frame. Finally, the chassis
in wood must be made each time in dimensions adapted to those of the products to be packaged.
The object of the invention is to provide a chassis for
thin and which can be very simply assembled in modular technique.
This objective is achieved thanks to the invention by a metal frame made simply from a flat sheet. According to the invention, this chassis consists of a sheet formed so as to present several
parallel ribs projecting from the same
face of the sheet, these ribs being connected between
them by blanks located in the same plane, the ribs being divided into at least three groups
in which the two lateral groups are separated from the central group by blanks of predetermined width.
Such a frame can be produced in one piece from a flat sheet of common dimensions or
in several parts made up of different modules which overlap with interlocking of one or more ribs one inside the other.
This chassis has the following advantages in particular:
1) it has a mechanical strength which makes it possible to carry a package approximately 2 meters high with a total load of around 22 tonnes,
2) it allows direct handling by jack-up thanks to the wide grooves separating the groups of lateral ribs from the central group, which can receive the pallets of a jack-up,
3) it can be easily adapted, by simple addition of profiled sleepers, to allow direct gripping by an overhead crane, of the COBRA type for example, whatever the length of the package,
4) it can be produced simply in different lengths by simple partial covering with interlocking of modules comprising a sheet having at least one group of lateral ribs and a central group comprising a variable number of ribs.
An additional advantage, appreciable from an economic point of view, is that the proposed chassis can be produced from scrap sheets, which allows
recovery of these waste products.

The frame comprises a plate 1 formed to present several parallel ribs 2 which project
on the same face of the sheet. These ribs 2 are divided into three separate groups. The
side groups A here include a
rib 2 each, while the central group B comprises one or more ribs 2 interconnected by blanks 3. The lateral groups A
ribs 2 are separated from the central group B by blanks 4 wider than the blanks 3. The blanks 3 and 4 are located in the same plane.
The width of the ribs 2 is advantageously chosen at a standard width of common metal profiles and the width of the blanks 4 between the lateral groups of ribs 2 and the central group is advantageously chosen so as to be able to receive the pallets of a jack-up longitudinally. as shown in Figure 2 in which the reference numeral 5 designates the pallets of a jackup
(not shown).
The chassis according to the invention can be produced in one piece or by assembling several elements.
In an advantageous embodiment, the chassis is made from two elements arranged to partially overlap with interlocking. Figure 3 <EMI ID = 2.1>

The other chassis shown are made in a similar manner. The frame It is composed of an element 1- formed with two ribs 11, 12 and an element 20 formed with three ribs 21, 22, 23,
the rib 23 fitting into the rib 12. The ribs 11 and 21 form the two lateral groups A. of the chassis while the ribs 22 and 23/12 form the central group B of the chassis. The chassis III differs from the chassis II in that it consists of two identical elements 20 having their ribs 23 nested
one inside the other.
The chassis IV consists of an element 20 with three ribs 21, 22, 23 and an element 30 with four ribs 31, 32, 33t 34. The ribs 21 and 31 form the side groups A and the group B here comprises four ribs. The chassis V is composed of two identical elements 30 and the central group B comprises five ribs.
Frame VI is composed of an element 30 with four ribs 31-34 and an element 40 with five ribs
41-45. In this example, the element 40 by itself already constitutes a frame according to the invention with two lateral ribs 41, 45 and three central ribs 42, 43, 44. The rib 34 of the element 30 fits into the rib 45 of element 40. The ribs
31 and 41 form the side groups A of the chassis
VI and the ribs 32, 33, 34/45, 44, 43 and 42 form the central group B.
Chassis VII and VIII are both composed
from two elements 40 to five ribs 41-45. In chassis VII the ribs 44 and 45 of one of the elements fit into the ribs 44 and 45 of the other element while in chassis VIII only the ribs 45 fit into one another, which allows a chassis having a width greater than one modular unit to the width of the

The exemplary embodiments illustrated in FIG. 3 show that, from a few standardized elements each comprising at least one group of lateral ribs and one central group comprising a variable number of ribs, it is possible, according to the invention, to produce very simply chassis of different widths depending on the packages to be packaged.
The packaging of a package using a metal frame according to the invention is illustrated diagrammatically by the exploded view of FIG. 4. The frame is placed with its ribs 2 downwards and the blanks 3 and 4 of the sheet metal up to serve as the base for the package. Seat parts 6, constituted for example by metal sections of wood or steel blocks, are advantageously housed in the cavity of the lateral ribs, at the ends thereof, to ensure a good distribution of the weight of the package. The package is placed on the blanks
3 and 4 of the chassis and the stabilizing angles 7 hold the package on the sides. The assembly of the assembly is carried out by strapping straps
(not shown).
To allow handling of the chassis by an overhead crane; the chassis is placed on several crosspieces 8 consisting of a metal profile.
To illustrate the advantage which results from the invention in terms of storage volume, it can be noted that a stack of packages with wooden chassis over a height of approximately two meters makes it possible to bring together a total load of 15: 400 kg approximately . On the chassis
