<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>
<EMI ID=4.1>
<EMI ID=5.1>
: Aerator whose body is made up of three profiles.
The present invention relates to an aerator for
window or the like. In fact, the aerator is intended to be mounted in the window frame together with the single or multiple glass. Generally, the aerator is located between the upper cross member of the frame and the glass
along the entire length of this cross.
In essence, the aerator comprises a body in which a movable flap slides behind a fixed perforated plate and in front of a deflector.
In the type of aerator according to the invention, the body is constituted by the assembly of three sections. A posterior profile notably forms the deflector. An anterior profile notably comprises the perforated plate. A lower section is mounted on the lower edge of the rear and / or front sections. The posterior and anterior sections are hung and clipped relative to each other.
<EMI ID = 1.1>
is preferably the upper edge of the posterior profile, forms a blade intended to be engaged in an appropriate groove in the upper cross member of the window frame, while the lower profile defines an identical or similar lower groove intended to receive the edge of the single or multiple window glass.
In the known aerators in question, the lower profile
and the front section are fixed to the rear section by screws generally passing through corresponding holes provided along the longitudinal edges of the lower section and the front section and screwed into tapped holes distributed along the longitudinal edges of the rear section.
The assembly of the lower, posterior and anterior sections has drawbacks. Drilling or drilling operations
drilling and tapping these profiles are expensive. In addition, the perforations must be made with precision in the desired places, in the three profiles. In addition, the assembly in question often proves to be not very solid when the aerator is assembled.
The aforementioned drawbacks of assembly by screws can be avoided by assembly by clips.
In this connection, there is already an aerator with two profiles, one posterior and the other anterior in which the latter is
clipped on the first. In fact, in this case, the upper edge of the front profile is hooked to that of the posterior profile, while the lower edge of
this anterior section is clipped onto that of this rear section. Any
another intermediate link does not exist between these two profiles.
So in this known aerator with two profiles, the
clipping from the anterior to the posterior is practically done on any
their height. Such clipping is not firm because it depends on the manufacturing tolerances which can only be very wide existing between the line
upper attachment of the two profiles and the lower clipping line
of these.
The present invention proposes a new aerator
to overcome the drawbacks of known three-stage aerators
profiles while eliminating the disadvantage of the above clipped aerators to
two profi les.
To this end, in a new aerator, the front profile is provided towards the rear on the one hand, with a flexible longitudinal clipping strip attached to a rigid longitudinal hooking stop of the posterior profile, and on the other hand, a longitudinal, rigid or flexible support rib, adjacent to the clipping strip, this support rib was supported against a rigid longitudinal support stop of the posterior profile. In this way the engagement of the clip strip and the support rib between the hooking and support stops ensures firm clipping conditioned by the particularly small manufacturing tolerances of the interval separating these two stops. -
Other details and peculiarities of the invention will become apparent during the description of the drawing appended to this memo which shows schematically and by way of example only, an embodiment of the invention.
The single figure is a cross section of the new aerator.
The aerator shown is intended to be inserted preferably in a window frame and more precisely between the upper cross member of this frame and the single or multiple pane of this window. In the chosen case, the aerator extends over the length of the upper cross member, between two frames of the chassis.
The aerator comprises a body 1 made in fact by three profiles, for example metallic and preferably aluminum. The three sections, namely a rear section 2, a front section 3 and a
lower section 4, are assembled together to form the rigid body 1.
The rear profile 2 forms the deflector of the aerator.
The upper edge of the posterior profile 2 constitutes a blade 5 aligned for example along the median plane of the body 1. During assembly, the blade 5 is engaged in a lower groove of the upper cross member of the chassis. The groove is generally provided with profiled sealing strips and can be delimited laterally by a slat with added glazing. The upper edge of the rear section 2 also includes an upper wing 6 projecting forward. The wing 6 has a particular recess 7, open obliquely downwards.
The lower edge of the rear section 2 has a lower wing 8 projecting forward. The lower wing 8 has an upward rim forming a longitudinal, rigid hooking stop 9 close to the median plane. The lower wing 8 comprises two rigid longitudinal and parallel lower hooks 10 and 11.
Near the lower edge, the rear profile 2 has a rib projecting obliquely downward and forward and in fact forming
a longitudinal and rigid support stop 12.
The rigid hooking 9 and support 12 stops thus extend substantially in line with one another. These stops 9 and 12 are close to each other. Their interval constitutes a fraction of the total height of the anterior section 3 and can therefore be produced with particularly low extrusion tolerances.
The front section 3 notably comprises a fixed perforated plate 13, extending in height between its longitudinal edges, in addition, the front section 3 is equipped with a movable flap 14 also perforated and sliding behind the plate 13.
The upper edge of the front section 3 has a longitudinal projection 15 projecting obliquely forward and upward. The projection 15 is engaged in the recess 7 of corresponding shape so as to ensure at this point a certain possibility of pivoting of the front section 3 relative to the rear section 2.
The lower edge of the front section 3 has two longitudinal wings projecting rearward and respectively forming a strip
flexible clip 16 and a rigid or flexible support rib 17. The clip strip 16 and the support rib 17 are adjacent to each other and their separation distance corresponds to the interval between the stop d 'hooking 9 and the abutment stop 12. The lower edge of the front section 3 also comprises a lower wing 18, which in the example chosen, is aligned in
its front face 19 or towards the front, along the anterior plane of this anterior section 3.
During assembly, the front section 3 is clipped onto the rear section 2. For this purpose, the clipping strip 16 and the support rib 17 are engaged clamping between the support stop 12 and the hooking stop 9.
<EMI ID = 2.1>
is maintained under elastic pressure by the support rib 17 bearing on the support stop 12. Thus, the clipping obtained depends only on the particularly small extrusion tolerances of the interval between the support stops 9 and
12 and is particularly firm and stable.
The lower profile 4 well illustrated in the cross section
<EMI ID = 3.1>
defining between them a lower groove 23 identical or similar to that of the upper cross member of the window frame. The lower groove 23 is used for the insertion of the edge of the single or multiple pane with the interposition of conventional longitudinal sealing strips.
<EMI ID = 4.1>
the lower section 4 comprises three longitudinal fins 24, 25 and 26, the two end fins 24 and 26 of which are aligned for example along the lateral aisles 21 and 22 and the median longitudinal fin 25 of which is arranged along the median plane. The rear fin 24 and the middle fin 25 respectively form two upper longitudinal hooks 27 and 28, both directed forwards. During assembly, the hooks 27 and 28 are hooked respectively to the longitudinal hooks 10 and 11 of the lower flange of the rear profile 2. In addition, the hooks 10 and 11 are held firmly tightened against the hooks 27 and 28 by means of clamps. 29, preferably made of neoprene or similar hard synthetic material. Chocks
clamp 29 are distributed over the entire length of the body 1 of the aerator and are inserted between the front hook 11 of the wing 8 of the rear section 2 and the front fin 26 of the lower section 4. Of course during assembly, the lower section 4 is hooked and fixed to the rear section 2 before the front section 3 is clipped onto this rear section 2.
<EMI ID = 5.1>
of the inverted L ensuring the mutual tightening of the hooks 10 and 27 on the one hand, and of the hooks 11 and 28 on the other hand, especially by contact with the beaks of the hooks 10 and
11 against the wings of the other hooks 27 and 28. Such contact essentially allows fixing by lateral thrust ensuring direct rearward alignment of the rear 2 and lower 4 sections and even after clipping, direct alignment towards the front anterior sections 3 and lower 4. Of course, the shims 29 can have any other shape and be
made of metal such as aluminum. In the same vein, the wings 21 and 22 of the lower profile 4 can be after mounting respectively at the rear of the rear profile 2 and / or at the front of the front profile 3.
Thus in the case chosen after assembly of the sections 2, 3 and 4, the thickness of the body 1 is uniform over its entire height. This is so because of the lateral thrust of the hooks 10 and 11 against the fins 24 and 25
and the support of the shims 29 against the hook 11 and the front fin 26. In this way, the front face 19 of the front section 3 is in vertical alignment with that of the front wing 22 of the bottom section 4, the back side
30 of the posterior profile 2 being for its part in the vertical alignment of that of the posterior wing 21 of this lower profile 4.
It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to the embodiment shown and that many modifications can be made
in the form, the arrangement and the constitution of certain elements intervening in its realization, provided that these modifications are not in contradiction with the object of each of the following claims.
