<EMI ID=1.1>

fourche du montant. Le dispositif de verrouillage présente des gorges d'accrochage formées à l'extrémité côté articulation des appuis et qui coopèrent avec un organe de verrou, guidé coulissant dans l'éclisse de palier et qui est maintenu, sous l'effet d'un ressort, au choix dans l'une des gorges d'accrochage. Ce verrou peut être facilement retiré de la gorge au moyen d'une manette de manoeuvre.. ;

<EMI ID=10.1>
la figure 1 est une vue en perspective du siège conforme à l'invention pour travail debout, dans sa position d'emploi avec montants non rabattus l'un sur l'autre ; la figure 2 est une vue en perspective du siège à l'état de non emploi, avec les montants rabattus l'un sur l'autre ; la figure 3 est une vue à échelle agrandie de la position d'articulation des montants rabattables et du dispositif de réglage de position ; la figure 4 est une vue à échelle agrandie d'une variante de réalisation de l'articulation et du dispositif de réglage ;
<EMI ID=11.1>
<EMI ID=12.1>

<EMI ID=23.1>
d'une goupille transversale 17. Ces évidements 19 présentent
<EMI ID=24.1>
d'accrochage 20.

<EMI ID=27.1>

The invention relates to a seat intended for work in a standing position, comprising a V-shaped or T-shaped frame, with two legs of legs, one of which forms a rigid or extensible leg which supports or guides the seat element of position adjustable in height, while the other leg upright is hinged against the first and serves as a support on the ground.
Such seats are already known as auxiliary seats in various embodiments. They mainly serve as a support in the half-upright position in devices with a large working height, as well as a mobile seat for work requiring frequent exchange between sitting and standing positions.
In all of these embodiments, the first upright forms the anterior foot leg, and the other upright, articulated on the first, forms the posterior foot leg of the seat frame. Consequently, the main load axis extending from the seat element extends transversely to the upright. This results in the production of considerable tilting forces oriented rearward towards the uprights, which compromise the stability of the seat and which cannot be eliminated, even with expensive frame constructions intended to balance these forces.
The object of the present invention is to produce a seat of this kind which does not have the drawbacks mentioned above.
For this purpose, the seat according to the invention is characterized in that the upright forms the rear leg, while supporting the seat member on the ground on the rear side, extending obliquely towards the rear, the other support being articulated on the anterior side of the upright, and forming the anterior leg.
Thanks to this arrangement, the axis of the upright coincides directly with the main load axis of the seat, which increases its stability by optimally avoiding undesirable tilting forces. In addition, due to this coincidence, the seat frame may be simpler and more resistant to

<EMI ID = 3.1>
According to another characteristic of the invention, the supports can be immobilized, at least in their position separated from use, and in their position of non-use folded over one another, by means of a locking device arranged at the point of articulation.
According to another embodiment, .one obtains a
<EMI ID = 4.1>
articulation particularly resistant to stresses and
<EMI ID = 5.1>
of: simple adjustment by providing that this flap joint
<EMI ID = 6.1>
amount fork. The locking device has hooking grooves formed at the end on the articulation side of the supports and which cooperate with a locking member, guided sliding in the bearing bar and which is held, under the effect of a spring, optionally in one of the hanging grooves. This lock can be easily removed from the groove by means of an operating lever.
In accordance with another characteristic of the invention,
<EMI ID = 7.1>
adjustable lation consists in that the folding articulation is housed in a bearing plate in the form of a fork of the upright. The locking device then comprises hooking grooves formed in the fork-shaped bearing plate, which cooperate with a lock, which is guided to slide in the fork-shaped end of the upright, and which can be released. throat or engaged therein by means of a sliding hook in the upright.
A particularly stable immobilization is obtained and
<EMI ID = 8.1>
carries the seat piece, providing, according to another characteristic of the invention, that the upright consists of an outer tube and an inner extensible tube. In the latter is slidably mounted a hooking rod, anchored on the outer tube by means of a transverse axis and provided with recesses which cooperate with an engagement ball. This ball is held in the hooking engagement position by means of a lock claw in a cage against the action of a spring and it can be removed from this engagement position <EMI ID = 9.1>
by sliding a release rod connected to the lock claw.
The manufacture, assembly and possible repair of the mechanism for extending and immobilizing the seat post can be simplified -in accordance with another advantageous embodiment of the invention, by providing that the ball receiving cage rests force under the action of the spring against
<EMI ID = 10.1>
of the trigger rod guided to slide in the inner tube, being immobilized by means of a claw tab, of a lock.
Finally, in accordance with another embodiment of the invention, it is possible, without additional expense of construction parts, to carry out the control of the extension and immobilization mechanism by providing that the lock claw is connected to the rod. triggering by means of a cross fork connection, and has a clearance clearance recess as well as a control edge for the engagement of the ball in the recesses of the rod.
The description below relates to an embodiment of the invention, given by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the seat according to the invention for standing work, in its operating position with uprights not folded one over the other; Figure 2 is a perspective view of the seat in the state of non-use, with the uprights folded over one another; Figure 3 is an enlarged view of the articulation position of the folding uprights and the position adjusting device; Figure 4 is an enlarged view of an alternative embodiment of the joint and the adjustment device;
Figure 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view through the seat support post, and Figure 6 is a side elevational view of the mounting of the
-. seat part on the support post.
<EMI ID = 11.1>
The seat for standing work * 'represents comprises a V-shaped or T-shaped frame with two foot legs 1 and 2. The leg 1 constitutes the main foot or support upright and the leg 2 constitutes an articulated support with folding down on the amount 1.
The support upright 1 and the support upright 2 can have, for example, a T shape, each with a vertical bar 1a and 2a and a transverse piece for application to the ground 1b and 2b.
But, in another way, the support upright 1 and / or the support 2 can have another shape, for example in U or in V.
The support upright 1 which carries the actual seat part 3 can be xigid or telescopically extendable.
In the latter case, the seat part 3, preferably in the form of a saddle, is mounted on its upper end, in a fixed manner or by means of a hinge pin 4 (FIG. 6) allowing pivoting. In the case of this pivotable arrangement of the seat part 3, it can be provided for folding upwards, out of its position of use supported on the edge 5a of a splint 5 fixed to the upright 1, in order to give the seat piece, in its folded position, minimal bulk.
In its telescopic form, the seat support post 1 is formed, preferably by two sections of tubes, one tube
<EMI ID = 12.1>
immobilized in each extension length chosen by means of an appropriate fixing device F, such as, for example, that shown in la.figure 5 and which will be described below.
In the case where the support upright, 1 is not extensible, but of rigid length, the seat part is provided, in a known manner, so that it can be slid at will over the upright and immobilized at the desired height .
As shown particularly in Figure 1, the amount
<EMI ID = 13.1>
rear of the seat frame in the shape of a V and a T, in the sense that, in the position of use of the seat piece 3, starting therefrom, the upright 1 extends towards the rear side oblique R - <EMI ID = 14.1>
seated then takes the position shown in inter-
<EMI ID = 15.1>
then on the front side V of the support upright 1 and it is articulated on the latter by an axis 6. In this way, the main load axis H of the seat coincides with the axis of the support upright 1. Consequently, the tilting forces which would compromise stability are eliminated and the seat can be formed by simple means so as to withstand possible stresses.
The support 2 can, preferably, be immobilized, in accordance with FIGS. 1 and 2, by means of a locking device 7, at least in its position of use separated, and in its position of non-use, folded against the upright 1. This fixing device 7 may have, for example, in accordance with FIG. 3, a latch pin 8, which is guided in two slots 9, close to the axis 6, of the fork end 2c of the 'support.
This pin 8 cooperates with two hooking recesses 10 '
and 10 ", one of which is assigned to the position separated from the support
2 (Figure 1) and the yardstick in its folded position against the upright 1 (Figure 2). The recesses 10 'and 10 "are provided in a fork-shaped appendage 11 fixed to the upright 1. By action, by means of an operating lever 12a, on a slide 12 mounted in the support 2, the locking pin 8 of the recess 10 'or 10 "in the direction of the pin 6, and the support 2 can then be pivoted to move it away from the upright 1 or fold it down on it.
FIG. 4 shows an alternative embodiment of the device 7 used to immobilize the support 2 in its position. <EMI ID = 16.1>

pivot the support 2. When you release the release lever
15, the locking pin 8 returns, under the action of the spring,
inside the recess 110 'or 110 "and fixes the support 2.
With the help of a bent leaf spring 160 which, when the support 2 folds down, slides on the branch 2d of the fork 2c of the support 2, it is possible to obtain a fixing in at least one additional intermediate position . The spring 160 could also serve in addition, or alone, as protection for the fingers.
The fixing device F (figure 5), assigned to the upright
<EMI ID = 22.1>
hook 18 provided with recesses 19, arranged in the section
<EMI ID = 23.1>
of a transverse pin 17. These recesses 19 have
<EMI ID = 24.1>
attachment 20. The ball is held in a cage 21, which is kept applied, by means of a spring 22, against a claw 23. The spring 22 bears against the end 24a of a trigger rod 24 sliding in the extendable tube ld and it is wound on a tab. 23a of the latch claw 23 and is partially engaged in a recess 23b of this claw. At the lower end of the recess 23b is provided a projection or control edge 23c of shape corresponding to the rounding of the lock ball 20. The lock claw 23 is slidably mounted on the inner wall of the extendable tube
<EMI ID = 25.1>
23d 24b forks slipped crosswise into each other.
Thanks to this arrangement, when the trigger rod 24 is pushed down, using a handle 25
(Figures 1 and 2) placed, for example, under the seat 3, the latch claw 23 is driven towards the transverse spindle.

far enough so that it finds in the recess 23b
<EMI ID = 27.1>
sufficient play so that the extendable pipe 1d can be moved inside the upright tube 1 and along the non-sliding latch rod 18. When the handle 25 is released, <EMI ID = 28.1>
23 move up. The control edge 23c of the ball finds sufficient play to engage in the funnel
19a of the recess 19 and thus locks the coupled parts 21 to 24.
Instead of the telescopic upright positioning device F, it is possible to provide any other mechanism, for example a lockable pneumatic spring mounted in the upright 1.
