"Sandwichpaneel, werkwijze ter vervaardiging hiervan en
daarbij gebruikte inrichting".
vulmassa is aangebracht.
daarbij gebruikte buitenlaag ingespoten.

<EMI ID=14.1>
Wanneer
<EMI ID=16.1>
"Sandwich panel, process for its manufacture and
device used therein ".
The invention relates to a sandwich panel containing the
an outer layer and a preferably profiled inner plate connected thereto, between which an insulating hardening
filling compound is applied. Such or similar sandwich panels are known. They can be used for both
roof and wall constructions. With the sandwich panels of
the hitherto known species are special measures
meet around the joint between the longitudinal walls of two side by side
cover horizontal panels with an insulating material.
For roof structures, this joint forms a particularly delicate connection between two panels. A local tax,
1 e.g. when walking on the roof, bending of the overhang of the panel may result in j, allowing the insulating filler, usually insulating foam, to separate from the outer layer acting as the outer protective layer. Also the application, on the outer layer, at height
of the joint between two panels of a connecting tape
a time consuming solution.
The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing sandwich panels according to
the invention.
In the hitherto known processes, the insulating hardening filling mass, in the form of a foam, is usually continuous between the profiled inner plate and the
injected used outer layer. In this method
the metal inner plate lies at the bottom so that the components of the filling mass can show irregularities during the reaction and hardening because the filling mass is
smooth surface is sprayed. In any case, air bubbles form along the top of the meanwhile hardened foam
which, when the outer layer is applied to the cured foam, exhibit weak spots. The alternating effects of heat and cold also affect the outer layer
location of these air bubbles adverse effects. The finished
sandwich panel then works along the side that is intended
is to form the outer wall, either as a wall or as a
roof, irregularities that are not only unaesthetic
but also from: a purely technical point of view can be very disadvantageous.
In the above-described method, care must also be taken to ensure that the air is regularly turned on
one side of the continuously wound elements of the panel can escape. If not, it will
the air trapped between the foam and the outer layer further aggravates the effect of blemishes and blisters.
The invention aims at these and other disadvantages both of the known sandwich panels and of the
to remedy the method used for its manufacture.
For this purpose, in the sandwich panel according to the invention, the above-mentioned outer layer is formed by the waterproof non-metallic sealing layer, which is to be regarded as definitive.
A detail of the invention consists in that the sandwich panel according to the invention has an overlap strip or flap on one side which, in the finished roof or wall construction, can be adhered to the edge of an adjacent panel.
The above-mentioned filling mass is advantageous on the sides that must contact adjacent panels
slanted profiled so that all panels join together at the same angle.
The above-mentioned outer layer is also advantageous in contact with the profiled sides of the above-mentioned filling mass.
The invention also relates to the method of manufacturing a sandwich panel according to the invention and to the device for manufacturing such a sandwich panel.
Other details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a sandwich panel according to the invention as well as from the method 1 for manufacturing such a sandwich panel and

hanging flap and the longitudinally protruding profiled sheet.
Figures 4 and 5 schematically illustrate two steps of the method of manufacturing a sandwich panel according to the invention.
Figure 6 is also a schematic representation of the apparatus for carrying out the method of the invention. Figure 7 is, on an enlarged scale, a cross-section <EMI ID = 3.1> Figure 8 illustrates the advantages of the sandwich panel according to the invention in bending one end of such a panel. Figure 9 shows the drawbacks of sandwich panels in which the outer protective layer is not arranged past the extreme corner along the longitudinal edge of the panel.
The sandwich panel according to figures 1, 2 and 3 is a so-called monolith sandwich panel for industrial application for both roof and wall structures. The roof panel is composed of an inner plate 1 which preferably has an <EMI ID = 4.1>
sealing layer. This layer can consist of any waterproof, preferably synthetic material. Preferably use is made of a mixture of bitumen and of polypropylene. A reinforcement of non-woven polyester fibers may be present in the mixture. A product suitable as an outer covering layer is e.g. the material marketed under the designation "ASCOFLEX ES".
Between the profiled metal plate 1 and the outer layer 2, an insulating layer is provided of a self-extinguishing insulating foam. Various materials can be used for this, including polyurethane, polyisocyanurate and the like. It

2. The sandwich panel has a flap 4 laterally and longitudinally overlapping the longitudinal edge
of an adjacent sandwich panel. Along the opposite edge of the sandwich panel, i.e. the edge that appears on the opposite side of the panel from the flap 4 is chamfered and

The advantages of this structure prove to be very clear
<EMI ID = 7.1>
demonstrated how the flap 4 over the waterproofing material
2 is glued or adhered to this material and how
material 2 is attached along the beveled longitudinal edge of a panel. Under the influence of a load, e.g. when one
one of the panels can bend, but on the roof
the adhesion between the flap 4 of the outer layer 2 of a
panel and the layer 2 of an adjacent panel are thus adhered together and the adherence of the outer layer along the chamfered longitudinal edge of a panel. works like this
<EMI ID = 8.1>
preventive insulating material comes off as shown in figure 9. This figure indeed illustrates the disadvantages of panels whose outer layer does not extend further than the oblique longitudinal edge of the panel.
In figure 3 two sandwich panels are drawn next to and above each other. In each sandwich panel the flap 4 is clearly noticeable and it has also been made clear that the profiled inner plate 1 protrudes over a distance from the insulating core 3, so that a good connection is also possible along the front side of the panels. In order to achieve, as already stated above, sandwich panels that are excellent as monolith panels
<EMI ID = 9.1>
to adhere the material from which the inner plate and the outer layer are made. The materials listed above perfectly meet these requirements but it is clear that other materials could also be used for the same purpose.
The method of manufacturing sandwich
<EMI ID = 10.1>
continuous process that includes the following steps:
1, The profiled inner plate is attached to the top table 5 of the device. This means that when the components of the insulating foam are injected, the profiled metal plate at the top and the outer layer at the bottom occur in the device. This arrangement has particular advantages which have already been pointed out in the introduction and which will be discussed below. The attachment of the inner plate 1 to the top table 5 can be <EMI ID = 11.1>

laid the outer layer. Along the longitudinal edges, the lower table is equipped with two longitudinal profiled elements 6 'and 6 "which are chamfered in accordance with the profile of the inner plate 1. The edge of the inner plate is bent along the inner side of the element 6', which edge must be in contact to remain with the foam to be injected which forms the insulating inner core 3. Under the element 6 "the portion of the outer layer continues to form the flap 4 of the sandwich panel.
3. The top table 5 is then brought so close to the bottom table 6 that the distance between the outer layer 2 resting on the bottom table 6 and the profiled sheet 1 corresponds to the thickness of the finished panel ie the thickness of the insulating core when the components have responded. The top table 5 can be brought in the direction of the bottom table 6 and held in the necessary position relative to this table by hydraulic pistons 7
<EMI ID = 13.1>
cross beams 8. These cross beams are equipped with arms 10 hinged in points 9. The arms 10 are equipped at the bottom with hooks 11 which are blocked when displacing the cross beams 8 opposite longitudinal push rods 12.
<EMI ID = 14.1>
When the printing cylinders are moved out, the arms 10 are rotated towards the lower table 6 in that these arms 10 are moved along fixed cams 13.
The reactive components of the fill mass can be <EMI ID = 15.1>
then temporarily exert a certain pressure against the
inner plate 1 fixed to the top table 5 After the reaction time, the filling mass adheres completely to both the inner plate 1
as on the outer plate 2. After the reaction time can pass through the
failure of the pressure in the hydraulic cylinders 7, the top table 5 of the bottom table 6 is released by releasing the
the hooks 11 come out of the longitudinal push rods 12.
By attaching the profiled inner plate 1 of metal or a similar material which offers sufficient resistance, the adverse effects of the air bubbles occurring on the top surface of the foam must not be
be feared more. The inner plate 1 can also do without
problems absorb the irregularities of the filling compound. When
<EMI ID = 16.1>
then one has to deal with the phenomena that
have been mentioned in the preamble of the description.
The invention is of course not limited to the above-described embodiment and many changes
could be put to this without outside it
under the patent application.
