1 et 2,une pièce intercalaire de liaison 5 étant emboîtée dans les rainures des éléments de cloison 1 et 2 de manière à les relier. Suivant l'invention, la profondeur p de la rainure est inférieur;:;

<EMI ID=3.1>

"Partition wall element and partition made from this element"
The present invention relates to a partition element comprising vertical plates fixed on either side of spacers and having at each of its lateral ends means making it possible to connect it to another partition element.
One of the aims of the invention is to offer a partition element of very simple design allowing very easy on-site construction of partitions thanks to the ease of assembly and of plumbing the elements.
For this purpose, the partition element according to the invention has, at its connecting ends, spacers offset from the vertical edges of the plates delimiting the partition element.
The aforesaid connecting means are arranged to cooperate with an intermediate piece intended to connect the connecting ends of two juxtaposed partition elements.
Advantageously, the aforesaid spacers consist of vertical uprights offset with respect to the vertical edges of the plates, so as to form a groove extending vertically.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the depth of the groove is less
half the thickness of the aforementioned spacer in
the direction of this depth to allow the relative expansion of the justaposed wall elements to be absorbed by a joint.
Another very important object of the invention is to present a construction element, preferably prefabricated, which makes it possible to ensure effective protection in the event of fire.
Thus, according to a preferred embodiment, both the plates and the spacers and mineral fibers or cellular concrete, optionally placed between the plates, are made of a material that is substantially flame-retardant or fire-resistant.
It is particularly advantageous that the plates and the spacers are made of the same fire-retardant or fire-resistant material, in order to avoid expansion problems, and in particular of a product based on cement, expanded perlite and
an asbestos fiber reinforcement.
The invention also relates to a partition produced by means of elements described above as well as to a particular process for the assembly of this partition.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description below, given by way of non-limiting example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a view in horizontal section and with breaks of two juxtaposed partition elements according to the invention. FIG. 2 is a view in horizontal section of a partition element according to the invention comprising two perpendicular portions. FIG. 3 is a horizontal sectional view of a partition element according to the invention comprising two portions perpendicular to <EMI ID = 1.1> of partition mounted in a room. Figure 1 shows the juxtaposed end parts of two wall elements 1 and 2.
The partition element 1 comprises two vertical plates 3 and 4 fixed on either side of spacer pieces preferably formed by vertical uprights and of which only one end upright has been illustrated in FIG. connection 8. The partition element 2 also comprises vertical plates 6 and 7 fixed on either side of spacer pieces of which only a vertical connecting end post has been shown in FIG. 8 '. As can be seen in Figure 1, the uprights 8 and 8 'are offset from the vertical edges of the plates of the respective wall elements. In particular, they are set back relative to the vertical edges of the plates 3, 4 and 6.7 so as to produce a groove along each of the partition elements
1 and 2, an intermediate connecting piece 5 being fitted into the grooves of the partition elements 1 and 2 so as to connect them. According to the invention, the depth p of the groove is less;:;
half the thickness of the spacer in the direction of this depth. In this way, the plates are spaced apart and the drawbacks which would result from an edge-to-edge mounting of the juxtaposed partition element plates are avoided. During assembly of the partition elements, the joint 9 existing between the plates 3 and 6 and the joint 10 between the plates 4 and 7 are repointed, for example using a substantially elastic mastic.
FIG. 2 represents a partition element constituted, according to the invention, by two portions 11 and 12 which are substantially perpendicular and make it possible to connect two perpendicular walls. The portion 11 comprises two plates 13 and 14 fixed on either side of spacers formed in this case by vertical uprights 15 and 16 located at the lateral ends of the plates 13 and 14, offset in relation to the lateral edges. plates and which form therewith a groove intended to receive a corresponding intermediate piece allowing
to connect the porticn 11 to another partition element not shown

vertical 17 forming a spacer for two plates 18 and
19 which are assembled on either side of this upright 17 and another upright 20 placed between the plates 18 and 19 at their free end. The plates 18 and 19 are vertical and they extend perpendicular to the plate 14 of the portion 11. The assembly of these plates 18 and 19 and the uprights 17 and 18 constitutes the portion 12. The upright 20 is offset with respect to the uprights. free edges of the plates 18 and 19 so as to constitute a connecting member making it possible to connect to the portion 12 another partition element, not shown. It is obvious that the.portion
12 can be fixed at any place on the plate 14 depending on the desired relative arrangement for the portions 11 and 12.
If it is desired to produce a partition element in the form of a cross, and therefore with four connecting ends, particularly useful for allowing for example the crossing at right angles of partitions made with elements according to the invention, it suffices to add to the partition element according to Figure 2 a third portion similar to the aforementioned portion 12, mounted on
the plate of the portion 11 opposite to that on which the portion 12 is fixed, and situated opposite the latter, the portions applied to the portion 11 being consequently arranged symmetrically with respect to the latter.
FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of a partition element constituted by two perpendicular portions 21 and 22 arranged in the planes of a right dihedron.
The portion 21 comprises two vertical plates 23 and 24 fixed on either side of spacers constituted in this case by a vertical upright 25 located at the free end of the portion.

vertical 26 located at the opposite end where the junction of the other portion 22 of the element takes place, this upright 26 not being offset with respect to the plates 23 and 24. The portion 22 comprises an upright 27 fixed to the plate 24 in the vicinity of the upright 26, an upright
28 of the connecting end and two plates 29 and 30 mounted on either side of these uprights and extending perpendicularly to the portion 21. The plate 29 forming with the plate 24 the internal face of the right dihedron extends from post 28 to said plate 24, while plate 30 extends from post
28 to the plate 23 so as to form with the latter
the external face of the dihedron. The junction between the plates 23 and
30 is mitered or straight overlapped and the plate 30. overlapped

uniform faces.
The plates and the spacers of a partition element according to the invention, illustrated in Figures 1 to 3, are made mutually integral by nailing and / or gluing
and fixed in the same way to the intermediate pieces.
In order to improve the thermal insulation properties of the partition element according to the invention, a filling material 31. preferably insulating and substantially incombustible,
is provided between the facing plates of the element, this material being constituted, for example, by mineral fibers, glued to the internal faces of the plates or by cellular concrete cast between the facing plates of the element. This casting is performed by the upper end of the partition elements, on site and after assembly of the latter.
In order to prevent the dangers of fire, and especially the spread of fire, the materials constituting the partition element are preferably non-combustible, fireproof or fireproof. To avoid stiffness problems resulting from a difference
expansion of the plates and of the spacers during temperature variations, the plates and the spacers are advantageously made of materials having an identical coefficient of expansion. Thanks to the very simple design of the partition elements according to the invention, the plates
and the spacers, i.e. the constituent parts of the partition element, can easily be made in
the same non-combustible, flame-retardant or fire-resistant material, in particular a product based on cement, expanded perlite and
an asbestos fiber reinforcement.

shown in figure 4 that the two vertical plates 32 and 33 with the internal lining in mineral fibers or cellular concrete
31 is mounted between two U-shaped sections 34 and 35, the first of which is fixed to the ceiling 36 of the room by its free wings 38 while the second of similar shape but turned upside down is fixed to the floor 37 by its wings 39. As can be seen. observe in Figure 4, these profiles engage between the upper and lower edges of the plates, respectively; for this purpose, it is necessary that the upper and lower parts of the element are devoid of spacers and, in particular, that the aforesaid uprights extend only over a part of the height of the plates so as to leave free the upper and lower parts of

This makes it possible to obtain heavy partitions on site without the transport and assembly problems which are inherent to them. The plates are nailed and / or glued, for example using a self-extinguishing one-component polyurethane adhesive, by their upper and lower edges to the profiles 34 and 35 respectively. In order to cover the joint remaining between the ceiling 36 and the upper edges of the plates 32 and 33, moldings have been provided
40, glued and / or nailed to the latter and to the ceiling, while the joint between the lower edges of the plates 32 and 33 and the floor of the room is covered by plinths 41 glued and / or nailed.
These gaskets are generally necessary to allow
the installation of the elements between the profiles previously fixed to the ceiling and to the floor.
It should be understood that the present invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described above and that many modifications can be made thereto without departing from the scope of the present patent.
