<EMI ID=1.1>

Saw for stony material
The present invention relates to a saw for cutting in particular stony materials.
<EMI ID = 1.1>
periphery of the cutting elements forming a surface of
continuous or discontinuous cutting.
In known saws of this kind, the soul
thin is formed by a single metal disc at the periphery of which the cutting elements are brazed.
When using a saw known to cut hard stones and particularly granite,
there is a considerable noise emission which can reach unpleasant levels at high audible frequencies, especially when high flow rates are sought
The noise in question comes from the vibrations which are generated by the interaction of the cutting elements and the stony material during the application of the cutting force and which propagate in the core being amplified by the excitation of modes specific to this one.
The object of the current invention is a new saw making it possible to greatly overcome the drawback
noises from known saws.
For this purpose, in a new saw, the core consists of at least two coaxial metal discs having equal diameters and secured to each other by a layer of elastic adhesive based on rubber or similar synthetic material .
In this way, with the new saw, the propagation of the vibration waves is hampered in the core by the presence of the adhesive layer constituting in fact a sensitive damping element of these vibrations.
In order to further dampen the waves
vibration in the core of the new saw, the discs used for it have different thicknesses.
In practice, in the new saw, one disc is made of a steel sheet of thickness equal to 0.0025 times its diameter, while the other disc is formed by a steel sheet of thickness equal to 0.0033 times this same diameter.
According to an important property of the glue for bonding the discs of the new saw, this glue withstands a temperature of at least 350 [deg.] C. Therefore, it is advantageous for the glue layer to cover the entire surface. adjacent faces of the discs. In this way, the damping of the vibration waves in

from cutting elements.
The invention also relates to the particular method of manufacturing the new saw. According to this process, the coaxial discs constituting the core are joined together by the aforementioned layer of adhesive extending over the entire surface area of the adjacent faces of these disks, while the cutting elements are then brazed at the periphery of the core. , simultaneously on the assembled discs.

cutting elements 2 fixed to its periphery. In the example chosen, the core 1 comprises teeth 3 regularly spaced by notches 4. In addition, the cutting elements 2 consist of segments made of diamond concretion. Thus, the cutting elements 2 together form a discontinuous sawing surface, but as a variant, these cutting elements can form a continuous sawing surface around the entire periphery of the tool.
In accordance with the inventive idea, the core 1 comprises a first metal disc 5 and a second metal disc 61 arranged coaxially. The annular discs 5 and 6 have the same internal diameter and the same external diameter. The disc 5 is made of a steel sheet having a thickness equal to 0.0025 times its outer diameter. already from these. This practically results in the elimination of the well-known noise when using similar known saws.
To manufacture the new saw, the metal discs 5 and 6 are first joined by the layer of glue 7 taking hot. Then after making the core 1, the cutting elements 2 are brazed at a temperature of about 300 [deg.] C at the periphery of this finish 1, simultaneously on the two discs 5 and 6.
It is obvious that the invention is not limited exclusively to the embodiment shown and that many modifications can be made in the form, the arrangement and the constitution of some of the elements involved in its realization, provided that these modifications do not not contradict the purpose of each of the following claims.
