<EMI ID=1.1>

Circular saw for stony materials.
The present invention relates to a circular saw for stony materials such as granite.
The circular saw has a core bearing to
its periphery of the cutting elements forming a continuous or discontinuous work surface.
In known saws of this kind, the core consists of a single flat annular disc, inserted between
two assembly flanges.
Known saws have the drawback of causing cutting deviations when sawing hard stones,
such as granites. These deviations are due in large part to the static and dynamic deformations of the disc.
unique constituent of the soul. Such deformations are
otherwise difficult to control.
The object of the invention is a new saw making it possible to remedy the aforementioned drawback of the known cases and thus to obtain a straight cut of hard stones.
For this purpose, in a new circular saw, the core consists of two same annular discs,
- which are made of thin sheets in the form of a bowl,
- which are arranged coaxially and symmetrically with respect to each other,
- which are assembled to each other at least in their parts closest to each other,
- and which are kept distant from each other, at least in their parts most distant from each other.
In this way, when sawing a hard stone, the new saw, thanks to its core with two symmetrical thin sheet discs in the form of a bowl, generates a symmetrical deformation in service with respect to its median plane, so as to create on the one hand, a stabilizing torque under
<EMI ID = 1.1>
on the other hand, take again the effects of the differences in elongation between the exterior and interior marginal zones of the rotating core. In other words, compared with the known cases, the new saw takes up the lateral stresses and maintains in its median plane the radial stresses applied to its web during sawing. As a result, the new saw exhibits better stability in service and provides a flatter cut than known cases.
According to a characteristic specific to the method of making the new saw, the thin t8les constituting the discs of the core are put in the form of a bowl during their mutual assembly.
According to a constructive characteristic of the new saw, the parts furthest from one another of the discs of the core are kept distant from one another by a spacer ring.
In order to further reduce the vibrations of
the new saw during cutting, it is expected that the free space between the discs of the Soul is filled with a vibration damping material.
In one embodiment of the new saw, the parts furthest from each other of the web discs are the internally marginal parts of these discs, while the parts closest to each other <EMI ID = 2.1>
one of the other disks in question are the outwardly marginal parts of these same disks. In this case, the discs of the core are assembled to each other, on the one hand, by their internally marginal parts clamped against the spacer ring by assembly flanges, and, on the other hand part, by their externally marginal parts riveted to each other.
In another embodiment of the
new saw, the parts furthest from each other of the core discs are the outwardly marginal parts of the disc cases, while the parts closest to each other of the discs in question are the internal marginal parts of these same discs In this other case, the discs of the core are assembled to each other, on the one hand, by their external marginal parts clamped against the spacer ring and fixed to the latter and, on the other hand, by their internally marginal parts clamped one against the other by the assembly flanges.
Other details and features of the invention will become apparent from the description and the drawings appended hereto and which represent schematically and by way of example only, two embodiments of the invention.
Figure 1 is an elevational view of a first saw according to the invention. Figure 2 is an axial section of the first saw and Figure 3 is a similar section of a second saw according to the invention.
In these different figures, the same reference notations designate identical elements.

In the second embodiment, the discs 5 and 6 have their respective cavities directed one
unlike the other. Then, the outwardly marginal parts 7 and 8 of the discs 5 and 6 are the furthest from each other and kept apart by the metal spacer ring 14. These parts 7 and 8 are moreover applied. laterally against this spacer ring 14 and are fixed there by welding, brazing
or glue. Furthermore, the internally marginal parts 10 and 11 of the discs 5 and 6 are applied and clamped against each other in a conventional manner by the assembly flanges 12 and 13. In this case too, the space free 15 between the discs 5 and 6 can be filled with a vibration damping material.
In each example chosen, disks 5 and
6 can be bent and put in the form of a bowl during their mutual assembly in particular by means of the flanges 12 and
13 and the spacer ring 14.
In each example described, the cutting elements 4 are brazed on the assembled disks 5 and 6,
It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to the embodiments represented and that many modifications can be made in the form, the arrangement and the constitution of some of the elements involved in its realization, provided that these modifications are not made. not contradict the purpose of
