<EMI ID=1.1>

<EMI ID=4.1>

Side discharge door safes of the type shown in the patent issued in the United States of America under
N [deg.] 2.648.428, are widely used for warehousing and
transport of bulk materials. The main problem that weighs
these boxes relate to maintaining a dust-tight seal between the side door and the wall of the box on which this door is mounted. The doors are fitted with gaskets intended to ensure a watertight seal between the door
and determined surfaces of the side wall. However, and
since the door is located in the side wall of the trunk,
she is in an exposed position where she is subjected to
numerous attacks which lead to the deformation of the frame of the seal and of the surfaces of the case which are called upon to form a tight seal with this seal. So,
the practical problems of a dump door safe
lateral are noticeably different from those presented
in the case of top discharge safes, of the type shown
<EMI ID = 1.1>
It is difficult to maintain dust tight gaskets in side door discharge boxes because it is practically impossible to maintain the gasket
on the door in a predetermined fixed position. In addition, up to
that now the gasket was placed so that
form a seal with flat surfaces or edging surfaces provided on the side wall of the trunk and which are more likely to give rise to leaks, as these
surfaces may bend or deform in some other way
due to the shocks to which the safe is subjected and which occur during handling and transporting it. On the basis of the above, the object of the invention is to establish a side door discharge box, which is provided with a side door of improved construction.
In the discharge safe by side door according to the present invention, the discharge opening is limited by a border projecting outwardly and part of which constitutes a forward extension of the lower wall of the safe. The rim goes completely around the discharge opening and projects horizontally outward beyond the side wall of the trunk in which the opening is formed. The side door is mounted on a hinge rail disposed above the trunk opening and is provided with a continuous channel projecting forwardly and located such that in the closed position of the door the channel coincides horizontally with the border. An elastic seal is disposed in the channel and is retained therein by converging the sides or wings of the channel.
A locking cam is mounted in voting on the

of inverted U, which fits into a portion of corresponding shape, formed on the upper end of the door, so as to constitute an effective and reliable hinge, which facilitates the cooperation between the gasket and the rim, in to form the desired seal, dust tight. The hinge rail also acts as a shock absorber to
<EMI ID = 4.1>
Thus, in the box according to the invention, the structure
of the door and the structure of the edge of the box cooperate in such a way as to ensure a dust-tight seal which is not liable to break under the effect of the usual external forces to which the box is subjected during handling and transport .

A door 26 is provided for closing the opening

As can be seen in FIG. 4, the door 26 has a substantially rectangular shape and is provided at its upper edge with a hinge element 28 integral with the door and terminating in a portion 29 in U inverted. An extruded hinge rail 30 (Fig 7) is attached to the front wall 14 and occupies a position above the opening 22. grip is favorable from the point of view of ease of cleaning, because the element 29 is not retained between the ends
of door 26. This hinge seal is also favorable because it maintains the door in a position of alignment with flange 24 when the door is closed, the portions of the hinge rail located above and below. the groove 32 acting so as to prevent the door 26 from being put
inadvertently out of alignment.
The door 26 is shaped so as to have a continuous frame 36 projecting outwardly and located such that when the door 26 is in the closed position.

as seen in Figs 2, 5 and 6, a seal

The fact that the closing force is exerted in the region limited by the trough 36 and acts substantially in the middle between the edges of the opening 22 provides the necessary force, oriented horizontally inward, which influences the gasket 44, so that it is in sealed contact with the rim 24. The arrangement described above enables a door to be produced. robust construction, where the gasket 44 is held in a fixed position while <EMI ID = 20.1>
