Abstract

Nuclear fuel granules are made by mixing uranium oxide powder and/or plutonium oxide powder with ammonium oxalate, forming the mixt. into granules and sintering. The resulting granules are uniform and free from cracks and porosity bonded together and can be made with a wide range of densities.
