Abstract

Electrostatic spray appts. for prodn. of thin layers of foam material by spraying a foamable liquid electrostatically onto a moving transport belt or support layer is provided with a series of electrostatic spray units, each with a motor driven belt and a motor driven endless chain for moving the spray units in a closed circuit across the transport belt at an adjustable velocity. Gives thin foam layers e.g. polyurethane foam layers having a thickness of 0.01-2cm. The thickness of the layers is very constant and can be closely controlled.
