Abstract

The metal (salt) loaded frit is applied esp. by stencilling in the required precisely defined pattern and the plate of non electrically conductive material e.g. glass, ceramic or enamelled sheet metal is then fired at 600-900 degrees C to leave a pattern of metal conductive film on the substrate. The salt, where used is one which decomposes at that temp. leaving the metal behind. The panel may be one used for heating or not and the metal chosen is one which has high resistance to oxidisation at the operating temp. esp. Au, Ag and/or Pt.
