Abstract

Fuel-oil blend of decreased pour point and low sulphur-content comprises (a) a waxy residual fuel-oil of pour-point 27-49 degrees C (b) a lower pour-point less waxy residual fuel-oil and (c) as pour-point depressant an oil soluble copolymer (of mol. wt 20,000-31,000 and fluidity index 5-28) of ethylene with 24-34%, 4-8C vinyl ester. By using the blend of (a) and (b) as base, fuel of the required low pour point is obtd. without the need for thorough dewaxing.
