Abstract

Novel ethylenediamines (I) or imidazolines (II) R1R2N-CH2CH2-NR3R4 are prepared (I) by reacting the corresp acid chlorides with the corresp. amine in anhyd. benzene where R1 = H or C6H9, R3=R4=Et and R2 is naphthoyl (opt. 6-Cl-substd) tetrahydronaphthoyl or quinaldyl; and (II R is an-N-(alpha-naphthylanilide)-residue) by reacting alpha-naphthylanilide with chlormethyl-2-imidazoline in dimethylformamide in presence of NaNH2. Et-esters are used for preparing (I) if R2 = and R4 = isopropyl if R3 = H. The products are antifibrillatory agents.
