Abstract
1351680 N-Phenyl-2-benzothiazole-sulphenamides UNIVERSAL OIL PRODUCTS CO 3 Sept 1971 41186/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] In Example 1, N-phenyl-2-benzothiazolesulphenamide is prepared by reacting together 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and aniline in methanol solution in the presence of sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. The corresponding N- methylphenyl- and N-p-methoxyphenyl-2-benzothiazole-sulphenamides are prepared similarly, replacing the aniline by p-methylaniline and pmethoxyaniline respectively.
