Abstract
The machine uses one row of hook needles which execute a base knit and an opposed row of straight needles which hold the yarn (e.g. of nylon) to form a loop while the base knit is being formed. A rod extends between the row of needles and through the looper to hold the loop formation while they are heat fixed. The method is simpler and more economic than previous weaving methods.
