<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
La description se rapporteà deux modes de réalisation de l'invention, donnes à titre d'exemples non limitatifs, et expli- qués avec référence aux dessins annexés, dans lesquels: la Fig.1 montre une vue frontale schématique d'un chauffe- eau à circalation conforme à l'invention associé à un accumulateur d'eau chaude de consommation et un récipient d'expansion compensa- teur de pression;

<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

Installation of circulation water heaters for closed circuit heating installation.
The present invention relates to a water heater installation, of the circulation type, intended for a central heating installation of the closed circuit type, of the type comprising a heating device, a hot water heater consisting of an accumulator and a two-part expansion vessel.
Circulating water heaters are known which are arranged for the preparation of hot water for consumption, the consolation hot water heater being inserted, as a circulation water heater in a pipe bypassing the circuit. of heating. The heating of this circulation water heater takes place
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
kills with priority over the space heating circuit.
The domestic hot water calorifier is relatively small and is surrounded, in common with the circulating pump and an expansion tank, by the appliance casing.
It is, for example, known to place the pressure balancing expansion tank for closed circuit installations, between the water heater body and the wall of the building. This saves an installation of an expansion tank separate from the apparatus. In the device itself this results in a greater construction depth compared to normal gas water heaters, which is frequently not desired *
It is also known to provide, in order to have a large reserve of hot water for consumption, a hot water accumulator below the circulation water heater proper.
The contents of this hot water accumulator are heated, in a manner analogous to that of the previously used water heaters, by the water intended for the circulating heating circuit. The hot water accumulator is connected to the water pipe of the building and is made to withstand pressure. The hot water accumulator is heated by a serpentine tube placed in the storage container and through which the circulation water of the heating circuit passes. For reasons of mechanical strength, the accumulator has a cross section of usual circular shape. It is arranged vertically under the water heater and is placed on the floor of the room.
It is known practice to surround the water heater and the accumulator with a cabinet-type casing, so as to constitute a single device.
The object of the present invention is to achieve an installation of circulation water heaters which requires as little space as possible.
The invention further proposes to provide a heater
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
circulating water having a relatively shallow depth @ allowing it to be suspended from a wall without posing problems relating to the resistance of the wall.
The installation of circulating water heaters of the invention is characterized in that the accumulator, having the shape of a vertical cylinder, is arranged in a vertical casing of the kind of a table or a cabinet, separate from the water-heating apparatus, the two parts of the expansion tank being arranged in the corners of the enclosure formed between the casing and the accumulator.
In the casing can, in addition., Be placed a circulation pump.
The actual water heater can be constituted as a wall device and suspended above said envelope.
The invention can be implemented in such a way that the water heater apparatus has three branch connections, namely a first for connection to a water inlet pipe, a second for connection to a heat exchanger for hot water for consumption and a third for connection to a return pipe, the water heater containing a switching valve by means of which, when there is a need for heat in the accumulator, the through channel of the water heater is connected directly to the second branch connector, the second branch connector being connected to the return pipe by means of a coil disposed in the accumulator and placed in heat exchange with the water from the 'accumulator.
However, it is also possible to use a circulating water heater such as those known for the sole purpose of heating, namely in such a way that this water heater has two branch connections for connection to the water pipe. inlet, 'water and to the return pipe, a coil, arranged in the accumulator, in exchange for heat with the water of the accumulator, being
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
permanently connected between the water inlet connection and the heating circuit outlet pipe. The water in the accumulator is then brought to a temperature corresponding to the heating restart temperature. During operation in summer, the heating circuit can be disconnected by suitable measures.
The description relates to two embodiments of the invention, given by way of non-limiting examples, and explained with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: FIG. 1 shows a schematic front view of a water heater with circulation in accordance with the invention associated with a hot water storage accumulator and a pressure compensating expansion vessel;
Fig.2 is a corresponding side elevational view; Fig.3 is a plan view of the hot water storage accumulator, the cover of the casing being open; Fig. 4 is a front elevational view of an alternative embodiment of the invention, and Fig. 5 is a corresponding side elevational view.
Figs. 1 and 2 show a water heater 1, which is suspended by its rear wall 2 from a wall of the building 3. The water heater contains a heating well 4 with a burner 5 disposed below.
The heating well is closed at the top by a lamella block 6. Reference 7 designates a calibration safety device. Below the heating well 4 is arranged a control box 8. A through channel 9 of the water heater 1 is wound around the heating well 4 and guided through the lamella block. One end of the channel 9 is connected with a return line branch connector 10. The other end 11 of the through channel 9 can optionally be connected by means of a switch 12, with a first connector branch 13 (branch
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
feed to the inlet pipe) or with a second branch connector 14.
The entire water heater with the parts described is covered by a casing 15.
Below the water heater suspended from and separated from it, is a 16 eT! table or cabinet shape, the base of which, rectangular in shape, rests on the ground 17. In this casing 16 is arranged, in the standing position, a hot water storage tank of cylindrical shape 18.
In the remaining free angles between the tank 18 with circular section and the rectangular envelope, 16, that is to say at 19 and 20, are arranged, with reduced bulk, as shown in rig. 3, the two parts of a pressure expansion tank 21 and 22.
The two partial elements constituting the expansion tank can have a rectangular cross section, but they can also be provided with a circular section, as shown in dashed lines in fig.3.
The branch connector 13 is connected to the hot water outlet pipe 23. The branch connector 14 is connected, by a pipe 24 to a pipe coiled in a coil 25, disposed inside the tank 18, in a situation of 'heat exchange with hot storage water and which is connected at its other end to the heating water return line 26. The pump 16' draws water from the return line 26 and coil 25 and delivers it under pressure, through a pipe 27, to branch connector 10.
The accumulator 18 is connected to the water distribution pipe of the building 28. It is thus possible to withdraw hot water through a pipe 29, in which case cold enu enters, in correspondence, through the pipe 28 and a pipe 30 brought to the bottom of the accumulation tank 18.
The previously described installation works as follows s
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
In the case of heating operation, the water is sucked by the circulation pump 16 'through the return pipe 26 out of the heating circuit, and it is delivered through the water heater 1 in the flow pipe 23 , which returns it to the heating circuit of the installation.
In the through channel 9 of the water heater 1, the water is heated in the usual way by the burner 5. When the water in the accumulator 18 reaches a desired, predetermined temperature, the valve 12 is rated, so so that the end 11 of the through channel 3 is connected to the second branch connector 14.
The water heated in the water heater 1 then passes through the connection 14 and the pipe 24 directly into the coil 25 where it gives up heat to the water contained in the accumulator 18 and then returns directly. in the heating tower duct 26. The heating circuit is in this mode of operation bypassed through the coil 25 and all of the heating power of the water heater 1 is available for the heater. heating of the drinking water in the accumulator.
The installation described thus contains a water heater 1 for heating the circulation water intended for the heating circuit. This water heater is used simultaneously to heat the water in a hot water storage tank on * This storage tank is, in common with the pressure balancing tanks required for a closed heating circuit and the circulation pump, arranged, with an advantageous economy of space, in a casing 16 separated from the water heater 1. The water heater 1 is thus practically of a usual method of construction and can be suspended from a wall 3.
The embodiment according to Figs. 4 and 5 is analogous to that of Figs. 1 and 3. However, in this case, a water heater 31 is provided with two connection fittings 32 and 33 and a
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
automatic connection device 34, known per se in closed circuit heating installations without preparation of hot water for consumption. In the case of heated only operation, as shown in dashed lines in fig. 4, a special circulation pump 35 is provided outside the appliance, as well as a pressure balancing expansion tank 36.
In connection with such a water heater, there is provided a hot water accumulator 18 according to the invention with a coil 25 and expansion tanks 21, 22, which are arranged, as in the same. example of fig.l to 3 in an envelope 16 in the form of a table or furniture. The branch connector for the outgoing line 32 is permanently connected with the coil 25 by a pipe 37. The other end of the coil 25 is connected to the outgoing pipe 38, so that the coil 25 is connected. relevantly included in the hot water flow circuit.
The heating water return line 39 is connected to the pump 16 'which is also placed in the casing 16 and which moves the water, through a line 40, to the branch connection d. return water 33 from the water heater 31. The accumulator is also connected, as in fig. 1 to 3, to the water distribution pipe 41. Hot water can be withdrawn at will through a pipe 42.
In this arrangement, the coil 25 is permanently included in the heating hot water outlet pipe, so that the water contained in the accumulator 18 is easily found at the water outlet temperature. of heating.
