<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
Les avantages de cette grue sont 1) pénétration plus facile dans la matière grâce à ce que la fourche 19 intervient de manière à couper la matière @ en tranches ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

HYDRAULIC LOADING CRANE FOR MANURE AND FIMORUSR MATERIALS
The present invention relates to hydraulic loading cranes for fibrous materials such as, for example, manure, beet leaves, faneked grass, etc., comprising a boom formed by two arms articulated between cus and provided with two lifting jacks and a gripping member provided at the end of the upper arm of the flock and controlled by a jack mounted in an articulated manner on this upper arm.
In known devices of this type,
the gripping member is constituted by a clamp with two tilting claws mounted at the end of the upper arm of the boom.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
These known machines have various drawbacks which are linked to the mounting and the design of the member for gripping the material.
In fact, on the one hand, the capacity of these claws is relatively low and, on the other hand, the pendular oscillation gives rise to a lack of precision and to handling difficulties.
The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks and at the same time to procure advantages which will be repeated at the end of this memory.
With a view to achieving these aims, the hydraulic loading crane which is the subject of the invention is characterized essentially in that the gripping member is constituted by a tilting fork with which cooperates a cradle of failure, integral with the upper arm do the arrow*
In the practical embodiment of the invention, the teeth of the gripping fork are integral with a xoliated support block by an articulated connection with the rod of a control cylinder for opening or closing. this fork and fork cotto is part a dropout or stirrup pivotally connected with the end of the upper boom arm.
In order to make the invention fully understood, a description will be given below, with reference to the drawings, by way of nonlimiting example of a hydraulic loading crane of the type mentioned mumie of the device which is the subject of the invention.
On these drawings:
Figure 1 is a schematic elevational view of the assembly of the machine.
FIG. 2 is a front view which is also schematic.
Los Figures 3 ot 4 are detail views of the cradle do retained.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Figures 5, 6 and 7 are intended to illustrate the operation.
In the attached drawings, there is shown at 1 the frame of the single-axle machine (not shown) provided with the circulation wheels 2 and two feet'3 serving as the support on the ground for / machine during work. thereof and each formed of two telescopic tubular elements.
On the frame 1 is provided a part 4 on which is articulated by a pin 5 an arm 6 which forms part of an arrow which comprises a second arm 7 connected in an articulated manner by a pin 8 with the end of the boom. arm 6.
On the other hand, on the part 4 is further articulated by a pin 9 a jack 10 whose piston rod 11 is articulated at 12 on a part 13 integral with the arm 6 and on which is articulated by a pin 14 a cylinder 15, the rod 16 of which is connected in an articulated manner at 17 to a part integral with the arm 7.
In a known manner, the apparatus comprises a jack (not shown) which is used to control the rotation of the jib and of the part 4 for loading, for example in a roller.
According to the invention, the member for gripping or collecting manure or other material consists of a fork 19 whose teeth or branches are integral with a support block 20. On this support block is articulated by a pin 21 the rod 22 of a jack 23 pivotally connected at 24 with a part 25 carried by the arm 7 of the boom.
On the other hand, a bracket or a bracket 26 forming part of the fork is articulated at 27 at the end of the arm 7.
On the arm 7 is fixed a cradle 28 for retaining the material which, in the example shown, comprises a support plate 28 which carries two rods 29 diverging on either side of the arm 7 and connected by a cross member 30
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
arranged perpendicular to the arm 7 and provided at its ends with folds 31 directed towards the fork 19.
At 32 is shown schematically a hydraulic device resting on a support 33 and comprising in particular a distribution valve.
A peculiarity lies in the shape of the branches of the fork which comprises on the side of the support block (20) a rectilinear part 34 followed by a curved part 35. As a result, a compression is exerted of the rectilinear parts on the material while ' it is held by the cradle.
The operation of this device can be summarized as follows:
In Figure 5 the apparatus is shown with the boom lowered and the fork open, prior to a loading operation. The jack 23 is closed (that is to say that its rod 22 is fully retracted); the branches 19 of the fork penetrate the material.
The jack 23 being maneuvered, until it opens fully, the fork is brought into the fully closed position shown in FIG. 6 where the material is held between this fork and the cradle integral with the arm 7.
By the action of the cylinders 10 and 15 the boom 6-7 is brought into the lifting position and the material is moved in height while the rotation cylinder (not shown) turns the boom until the fork 19 is located above the unloading location (Figure 7).
If then the jack 23 is again maneuvered so that the jack 23 is closed again, the fork 19 is brought into the open position and the material is released and falls, for example, into the trailer.
The advantages of this crane are 1) easier penetration into the material thanks to the fork 19 intervening so as to cut the material @ into slices;
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
2) increase in the capacity of the gripper; 3) the working height is increased; 4) the work takes place with greater precision, the handling is easier.
