<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>
<Desc/Clms Page number 10>
<Desc/Clms Page number 11>
Dans la forme d'exécution du dispositif illustrée par les ;
Figs.
<Desc/Clms Page number 12>

Device carrying a raking belt or similar tillage implement mounted on the hydraulic system of tractors =, agricultural.
The invention relates to a supporting device for a raking belt implement or similar tillage implement mounted on the hydraulic system of agricultural tractors, this device being constituted by a carrying tower which can be coupled to the lower coupling rods and to the upper linkage of the hydraulic system.
In currently known carrying devices of this type, the carrying tower constitutes an accessory part of the raking belt instrument or of the equivalent tillage implement, through which this instrument can be used.

tractor, on its hydraulic system. So that the instrument can perform pivoting movements in a vertical plane perpendicular to the direction of movement of the tractor. In order to adapt to the ground, the carrying tower can carry a horizontal journal provided in the direction of movement of the tractor. , touril- .lon on which is mozxtëe a sleeve of the instrument.
It is also known to provide the conveyor belt implements or other side shifts at the rear of the tractor so that they work beside or outside the view followed by the latter. This prevents the tractor from rolling over. the products which are on the ground and must be treated by the instrument before this treatment has taken place, and it is avoided that the tractor presses on the ground. This known lateral suspension has hitherto been produced as follows: the implement is hitched by means of a specific hitch bar to the drawbar of the tractor, a linkage oblique between the two drawbars ensuring, during work, the maintenance of the instrument in the desired position relative to the tractor.
Compared to the known device initially cited, the carrying device according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises an intermediate support which is substantially horizontal in the form of a lateral arrow, which is provided, with a view to the lateral suspension, between the carrying tower and a point of function of the implement and which, with a view to maintaining the position of the implement relative to the tractor, can be adjusted and locked in its position relative to the supporting tower.
This embodiment in accordance with the invention offers the possibility of brushing raking belt instruments or similar ara- tory instruments in a position of lateral offset on the hydraulic system of tractors and on the one hand keeping the instrument in position. working position next to the path followed by the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
tractor and on the other hand in a transport position, within the limits of this track.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the carrying tower and the instrument have junction points allowing direct reciprocal coupling, while the intermediate support is in the form of a separate removable construction element having function points both on the carrier tower and on the instrument. In this case of mounting the implement on the hydraulic system of the tractor, this arrangement allows both the mounting of the implement at the rear median part of the tractor and the mounting in an offset position vars one or the other. other side.
The intermediate support advantageously comprises two support elements connected to each other by a pivot with a vertical axis, the two support elements being able to be blocked with respect to each other in an extended position in in which their axes are parallel as, in a bent position, in which their axes are approximately perpendicular. This allows the instrument to be transported within the limits of the width of the tractor track when the intermediate support is interposed.
To allow transport of the implement in the raised condition within the limits of the width of the tractor, the intermediate support can also attack the carrying tower by a pivot with a vertical axis and can be blocked relative to the turn to. by means of a movable oblique connecting rod.
According to yet another characteristic of the invention, the intermediate support is connected to the instrument as well as to the carrying tower, by pivots with vertical axes and can be blocked at least in its extreme pivoting positions, both by relative to the supporting tower than relative to the instrument.
The junction point of the intermediate support may be in the middle of the instrument or be offset from this middle.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The intermediate support can be a single profiled element but it can, according to the invention, be formed of two parallel connecting rods, one of which, depending on the pivoting position, can be blocked with respect to the supporting tower in the intervention of an intermediate element.
In one embodiment particularly suitable for raking belt devices, the direction of work of which is perpendicular to the direction of movement of the tractor, the intermediate support is in the form of an arrow supporting the instrument and it attacks. the latter at its upper part, at a median junction point, around which the instrument can pivot on 1800 and be locked in its pivoting position.
In this case, the instrument is advantageously provided with two pairs of support wheels which are provided at. its opposite sides and which can be rotated alternately so that they may or may not be in engagement with the ground.
So that, in the case of a carrying device according to the invention, the instrument can perform the movements initially mentioned, to adapt to the ground, in a vertical plane perpendicular to the direction of movement of the tractor, the support intermediate can be provided with an articulation having a horizontal axis parallel to this direction of movement and include a stop or blocking device allowing or blocking the pivoting movements. In a different embodiment, the intermediate support can be coupled to the implement by an intermediate articulation with a horizontal axis parallel to the direction of movement of the tractor and include a locking device allowing or blocking the pivoting movements of the tractor. the instrument around the intermediate joint.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description of some exemplary embodiments given below with reference to the appended drawings, in which:

In the example of execution illustrated by FIGS. 1 to 5, 1 designates as a whole the tillage implement, which is in the form of a raking belt device.
Rake belt devices of this kind are known and therefore need not be described here. Arrow 2 indicates the working direction of the implement, while arrow 3 indicates the direction of movement of the tractor. As shown in FIG. 1, the instrument 1 is carried to the rear Badiane part of the tractor, not shown, by a carrying tower 4, which has junction points 5 for the lower coupling rods of the hydraulic system and a junction point 6 for its upper coupling rod.
On the side opposite to that where the hydraulic system is located, the carrying tower is provided with two claws 7, by which it is coupled, by means of pins, to a support 8 which is fixed by means of an articulation 9 to the main cross member 10 of the instrument.
The articulation 9 consists of a journal 11 whose geometric axis, horizontal, is parallel to the direction of movement 3 of the tractor and on which is mounted a bush 12 fixed to the support 8, which bush can rotate but however, cannot move axially. The articulation 9 allows the instrument 1 to perform pivoting movements, relative to the support 8, around the axis of the journal 11, so that the instrument can adapt to the ground. A stop device, comprising for example a chain 13, makes it possible to limit the pivoting of the instrument 1 relative to the support 8 or even to avoid it completely. The latter case arises when the instrument is transported with the hydraulic device raised.
Fig. 4 shows the lateral suspension of the instrument 1. Here, an intermediate support 14 is interposed for this purpose between the carrying tower 4 and the instrument 1, this support included.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
Intermediate presenting dos clean junction points corrospondan on the one hand at the junction points to the support 8 'of the instrument 1 and on the other hand at the junction points 7 of the carrier tower. The junction points intended for coupling the internal support 14 to the support 8 'of the instrument 1 are formed by claws 15, corresponding to the claws 7 of the carrying tower, while the junction points associated with the claws 7 of the carrier tower 4 are simple holes corresponding to those of the support 8 or of the support 8 '. Mating, again, takes place by means of 16 pins or the equivalent.
The intermediate support 14 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, comprises two elements 17 and 18, which are connected to each other by a pivot 19 whose geometric axis is vertical. The pivot
19 is, in the case of the support shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, fixed to a transverse link 20, projecting on either side of the end of the support element 17. The support element 18 comprises a forked portion 21 which, on the one hand, is articulated at 19 to the transverse link 20 but which, by its free end, is coupled by means of a plug 22 to a locking link 23, which ensures the biocage when the two support elements 17 and 18 are in their position extension, their axes being parallel '(Fig.
2). After removing the plug 22, the support member 18 can be rotated around the pivot 19, as shown in FIG. 5..Holes 24, provided at the ends of the forked part 21, can be placed in the presence of corresponding holes 25 of the transverse rod 20. When the plug 22 is replaced, the support element 18 is locked relative to element 17 in a position such that its axis is approximately perpendicular to that of element 17.
In the embodiment illustrated by FIG. 4, in which the intermediate support 14 is locked in its extended position, the instrument 1 is mounted laterally with respect to
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
to the tractor, and is carried by its. hydraulic system. It will easily be understood that the assembly can be flown from the other side of the tractor without modification of the constituent elements. In the embodiment illustrated in Fig. 5, in which the intermediate support 14 is blocked in its bent position, the instrument is located behind the tractor, picked up over the width of the latter, in a position suitable for transport , and it can be transported without difficulty by any paths and roads.
The support 8 'can be articulated to the instrument 1 in the manner described with reference to FIG. 1. But it can also, as indicated by the pins 4 and 5, be rigidly fixed to the instrument 1. In this case, the support 14 advantageously has, as close as possible to the claws 15, another articulation
26, whose axis is horizontal. So that the articulation 26 can be released with a view to pivoting movements or even blocked to prevent such movements, a stop device is provided which, in the example of execution shown, consists of by a lock 27, which can be slid in locking tabs 28, provided on either side of the joint 26.
In the position of withdrawal of the latch 27, the position shown in FIG. 4, the articulation 26 is free to perform movements, but on the other hand, when the lock 27 is slipped into the two locking tabs 28, the articulation 26 is blocked and cannot carry out any movement. It goes without saying that as a stop device, one could use any device adapting to the joint.
In the embodiment shown in Figs. 6 and 7,. the implement can be mounted on one side of the tractor as well as on its rear middle part. The intermediate support 29 is a one-piece support, which is connected on the one hand to the instrument 1 and on the other hand to the supporting tower.
4 so that it can pivot. The articulated connection 30, provided between the intermediate support 29 and the supporting tower 4,
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
just as the articulated connection 31, provided between the instrument 1 and the support 29, have a. vertical pivot axis.
The junction point of the intermediate support 29 to the instrument 1 is, in this embodiment, offset to one side with respect to the middle of the instrument to such an extent that the latter, when the intermediate support 29 has been rotated. towards the inside (position drawn in dotted lines in Fig. 7), is located at the rear middle part of the tractor.
To block the articulated connection between the supporting tower 4 and the intermediate support 29 in a position suitable for transporting the instrumenta, an oblique connecting rod 32 is provided, which on the one hand attacks an ear 33 of the supporting tower 4 and of on the other hand an ear 34 of the intermediate support 29. These ears are, like the ears 35 and 36 of the carrying tower 4 and of the intermediate support 29, mounted so that they can, with a view to blocking the carrying our 4 in its position relative to the intermediate support 29, be connected 'directly to each other both in the lateral offset position and in the middle position at the rear of the tractor.
This possibility appears in Fig. 7 and. can advantageously be obtained using plugs. The articulated connection 31 connects the intermediate support 29 to a support element 811, which, for its part, is connected to the instrument 1 by an intermediate articulation 37, which allows the instrument 1 to perform pivoting movements. in relation to the horizontal support 8 ", these movements developing around a horizontal axis parallel to the direction of movement of the tractor. So that the articulation between the implement 1 and the support 8 can be released or blocked. ", plugs 39 are provided, which rigidly fix the movable part of the articulation 37 to the support 8" when they are in place.
So that we can block the articulated connection 31, which is necessary to-obtain the maintenance in the desired position of
<Desc / Clms Page number 10>
the instrument 1 with respect to the tractour, the support 8 "is provided with a latch 40, which can engage in appropriate keepers of the movable part of the articulated linkage. These keepers are designated by 41.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 11, there is provided an intermediate support formed by parallel connecting rods 42 and 43, which are articulated on the one hand to the supporting tower 4. and on the other hand to the support 8 of the instrument 1. The position drawn in dotted lines of the parallel connecting rods and of the supporting tower indicates that, in this embodiment also, just as in the case of the embodiments shown in Fig. 4 and 5, it is possible to provide a lateral mounting on either side of the tractor. To block the joint 9, a lock 44 is provided here, which replaces the chain 13 shown in FIG. 1.
In the case considered here, it suffices to provide, for maintaining the machine in its position relative to the tractor, locking lugs 45 and 46 on the parallel connecting rods, these lugs being able, for the purpose of locking, to cooperate alternately with a middle locking lug 47, provided on the supporting tower 4.
In the embodiment illustrated by FIGS. 8 to 10, an intermediate support 48 is provided, which attacks a vertical pivot 49 of the carrying tower 4, from which this support can pivot. The necessary blocking of the support 48 with respect to the carrier tower 4 for transport (Fig. 8) is obtained by means of a plug which fixes the outer end drilled with a hole 52 to the carrier tower at the intervention of holes 50 and 51 made in this tower.
The blocking of the carrying tower relative to the support 48 in the laterally offset working positions is obtained by means of locks 53 which the intermediate support comprises.
<Desc / Clms Page number 11>
48 and which can engage in holes provided in locking elements 54 and 55 of the supporting tower.
The intermediate support 48 is connected by its other end to an 8 '' support by a pivot with a vertical axis 56, this pivot being situated in the middle of the instrument. The instrument 1 can perform movements allowing it to adapt to the ground thanks to an articulation 57 whose axis is horizontal and parallel to the direction of movement of the tractor, this articulation being able to be blocked by means of bolts 27.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the locking of the intermediate support 48 with respect to the instrument 1 is obtained by means of latches 58, which engage in suitable recesses of the locking eyes 59 provided on the side. of the instrument.,
In the embodiment of the device illustrated by;
Figs. 12 to 14, an intermediate support 60 is provided, which is articulated to the instrument 1 ', on the one hand, and to the supporting tower
4, on the other hand. The articulation to the carrier tower 4 again has a horizontal axis 61 and, as a locking means, an adjustable rod 62 is provided between an element 63 of the carrier tower 4 and the intermediate support 60.
The latter is presented as an arrow carrying the instrument l ', this arrow attacking the instrument l', at its upper part, at a central junction point
65. For this purpose, the instrument is provided with a frame 66, which may include welded cross members. The junction point 65 can take the form of a bearing with a vertical axis, around which the whole instrument l 'can turn 180. Fig. 13 shows the instrument visible in Fig. 12 when its rotation has started. It goes without saying that here also a suitable locking device is provided which can be released for rotation and re-engaged when this has taken place.
The rotation can be obtained by the play of a toggle comprising levers
<Desc / Clms Page number 12>
67 and 68 and a traction member 69, the rotation being able to be controlled directly from the tractor; the toggle and the traction member may at the same time constitute the stopping or locking device. In the intermediate support 60, in the vicinity of the junction point 65, there is provided an articulation 70 whose horizontal axis is perpendicular to the axis of the support and which allows the instrument 1 'to perform all the necessary movements. sary to ground adaptation. This articulation can be blocked or released by means of plugs or locks of the type described in the preceding execution examples.
The instrument 1 'is on the other hand provided with two pairs of support wheels 71 and 72, provided at its opposite sides and which can alternately rest on the ground or be lifted therefrom.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 15 and 16, the instrument 1 is fixed to an intermediate support 73 by an intermediate articulation 9, the geometric horizontal pivot axis of which is in the direction of movement of the tractor.
At its opposite end, the intermediate support 73 is articulated at 74 to a supporting tower 4, the articulated connection having a vertical axis. The locking of the intermediate support 73 relative to the supporting tower 4 is obtained by means of a movable oblique connecting rod 75, articulated at 76 to the supporting tower 4 and which can be connected to an element 77 of the intermediate support 73 by a plug. The
Fig. 15 represents a working position, which, in this embodiment, can be located only on one side of the tractor, while the pin 16 represents the transport position of the instrument.
To limit the pivoting movements of the intermediate support 73 around the intermediate articulation 9, two vertical tabs 78 are provided, arranged in parallel at a distance from one another and fixed to the frame. The two pattos 78 are connected at their upper extract and at their lower end.
<Desc / Clms Page number 13>
upper by transverse bolts, spacers limiting the pivoting movements up and down. By using plugs, the intermediate support 73 can be completely blocked in relation to the instrument 1.
Control of the implement may be obtained from a tractor PTO shaft and transmitted by V-belts, cardan shafts, bevel gears, and the like transmission means the arrangement of which will be appropriately chosen and does not form part of the invention.
