" Etagère perfectionnée "
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>

"Perfected shelf"
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to a shelf display for presenting objects or products Por @s by plates arranged one above the other and has hooked to at least two uprights connected to each other by intermeshes and mounted on feet.
Known exaggerations of this kind are generally not. stituated by various profiles bolted or welded together and often require additional stiffening elements.
The invention relates to a new shelf which consists of simple elements which can be assembled between them without having to use auoun usual fixing member by. screws, bolts or other foreign parts, or special tools and without requiring specialized labor.
The new shelf, however, has the qualities of known shelves including equivalent rigidity and stability. It can also be easily extended without the intervention of elements different from those which essentially constitute it.
For this purpose in a shelf according to the invention, the uprights each consist of a U-shaped profile and are arranged relative to each other so that their cores. are parallel.
These uprights are each provided with supports which are arranged so as to project respectively towards one another and preferably at the same levels and which each have an assembly opening.
On the other hand, the spacers each consist of a U-shaped profile resting by the ends of its web on two aforementioned supports.
The ends of each spacer each have
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
an assembly hole superimposed at least partially on that of the corresponding support so that an assembly member can pass through the two holes to secure the spacer to the support.
Furthermore, the aforementioned plates each consist of a sheet or a panel having hooking members in-; troducts in openings in the side wings of the uprights. amounts. -. , Finally, the uprights are each simply nested, by: @ their lower ends, in corresponding housings ready for the aforementioned feet, @ According to a particular feature of the invention, each aforementioned support is formed of a plate which is introduced to through a suitable slot in the web of the upright and which is then welded to this web.
According to another particularity of the invention, each entre * height rod is mounted on the corresponding supports so that these wings are directed upwards.
To reduce the assembly components used to a single type, provision is made for the assembly holes of the supports and spacers to be oblong holes superimposed and perpendicular! to the longitudinal direction. spacers. In this case, these assembly members each consist of an H-shaped plate, the wings of which serve as wedges between which the edges of these orifices are clamped: supports and spacers.
Advantageously, the feet each comprise a tubular element with rectangular section in which the lower end of the corresponding upright is fitted.
To be delimited laterally, the new shelf may comprise at least one sheet or a side panel which is provided on the one hand with a hook hooked to the upper end of the upright.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
corresponding and other: art of nipples engaged in appropriate housings presented by corresponding foot.
When the shelf is intended to be adjacent to a wall it may include a rear panel or purlins which is provided with hooks respectively hooked to the aforesaid spacers.
Other details and features of the invention will become apparent from the description of the drawings appended hereto which schematically and by way of example only represent embodiments of the invention.

FIG. 4 is a detailed view on a large scale, particularly illustrating the assembly of the shelf according to FIG. 3.
. Figure 5 is a detailed view of the lower part of the shelf according to Figure 3.
Figure 6 is a perspective view of a third embodiment of the new shelf.,
Figure 7 is a cross-sectional view of the last shelf taken along the plane VII-VII of the previous figure.
Figure 8 illustrates the assembly of the upright spacers in the case of a relatively long shelf having an intermediate upright between its end uprights.
In these different figures, the same reference notations denote identical elements.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
A shelf according to the invention comprises uprights 1, 2, 3 which are located on the one hand, at its lateral ends, as is the case of uprights 1 and 2 or on the other hand between these as is the case for the intermediate amount
Each of the uprights 1, 2 and consists of a U-shaped profile. As can be seen in the figures, the webs of the profiles of the uprights are mutually parallel. On the other hand,. the wings of the profiles of the end uprights 1 and 2 are directed towards each other. Preferably, the longitudinal edges of the profile wings are folded at right angles to each other, so that said profile forms a partially closed groove and is substantially rigid.
Each upright 1, 2 or 3 is provided with supports 4 which are arranged so as to project with respect to the web of this profile between the wings thereof. The supports of the different uprights) are respectively distributed two by two according to the same levels.
Advantageously, each support 4 is formed of a plate having two opposite notches 5 located approximately in the middle of their length. This plate is introduced through an opening or opening 6 presented by the web of the profile of the corresponding upright and having a width slightly greater than that of the plate. When the plate 4 is also located on either side of the core of the upright profile, its median part, which is narrower by the presence of the notches 5, is housed in the lower part of the slot 6, the dimensions of which are slightly higher than those of this middle part of the plate.
In this way, said plate is thus placed in this tent 6 and is retained there by interlocking. This plate is then welded to the web of the profile of the uprights by welding points *
The plate forming a support 4 may be presented differently from what is written above, in particular, said plate %% '
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
can be simply rectangular and be fitted through a @ corresponding slot in the soul of the profile of the tempting in order to be sou .., dée to this 9-ne. The plate in question per, moreover, protrude from the side of the wings of the profile of the upright as well as from the opposite side,
@ se with respect to the soul of said No.
Each upright 1, 2, or 3 presents anssi on each of @ @ its wings elongated openings and superweighed 7 for ac-; hooking of plates $ provided for this purpose, * conventional side hooks not referenced.
The shelf according to the invention also comprises spacers 9 interconnecting the uprights 1, 2, and 3. These spacers each consist of a U-shaped section which is arranged horizontally with its wings directed. to the top. Each bar 9 rests by the two ends of its web between two consecutive uprights on two supports 4 respectively carried by them. @
The assembly of the spacers 9 to the supports 4 is obtained by a particular member which, in the examples chosen, is formed of a plate cut in the shape of an H.
Each plate 10 is introduced through two superimposed and transverse oblong holes:, the upper being presented by the web of the spacer 9, the lower one being provided in the plate forming the support 4. The introduction of the plate 10 through the holes in question is made until the flanges of this plate 10 are on either side of the web of the spacer 9 and of the support 4. By rotation of a @ quarter turn, the plate 10 clamps the support 4 and the web of the spacer 9 against one another, by its wings which thus act as wedges for tightening the edges of the holes or orifices d the aforementioned assembly.
It should be noted that this H-shaped plate 10 is the only assembly member of the prefabricated elements constituting the shelf according to the invention.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
the assembly holes respectively represented by 1 core of the spacer 9 and by the plate of the support 4 can be completely or partially overlapped.
The uprights 1, 2 and 3 are held in a vertical position by feet. preferably provided with lower gaskets 12 of rubber or a suitable synthetic material.
Each l @ ed 11 comprises a vertical tubular element 13, the transverse inner section of which is similar and slightly larger than that of the section constituting the upright. In this way, this tubular element 13 serves to interlock the lower end of the corresponding upright.
The foot 11 is advantageously made of a t8le double folded in the same direction so as to constitute an element of the semi-tubular type, easily executable and sufficiently explained by the drawings.
The first embodiment relates to a new shelf. velle in its simplest mode of execution.
The second embodiment provides, in addition to the elements included in the first form, metal sheets or side panels 14 which are hooked vertically and respectively to the side uprights 1 and 2. Preferably, the new side element is simply formed. of a sheet, the edges of which are folded back twice at right angles so as to form a frame intended in particular to stiffen said element.
As can be seen in FIG. 4, the upper edge of the sheet has a hook 15 engaged through an opening 16 presented by the upper support 4 carried by the upright. On the other hand, ; as shown in figure 5, the lower edge of the sheet 14 @ is provided with nested studs 17 or introduced into circular perforations 18 provided in a profile 19 adjacent to the foot 11 and attached to the latter in a manner. conventional
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
The third embodiment relates to the case where the shelf is intended to be placed against a wall.
In this case the shelf may comprise the ring elements which are included in the first embodiment and appropriate accordingly but in-; core an additional bottom element which is cons @ killed by a sheet 20 of which at least the upper edge is doubled folded at right angles in the same direction and of which the front face carries a particular L-section 21.
The sheet 20 is attached to the spacers o respectively by the hooks formed on the one hand by its folded upper edge and on the other hand by its profile 21. The bottom sheet 20 c: nstitutes in itself a stiffening element substantially strengthening the rigidity, of the shelf.
It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to the embodiments shown and that many modifications. cation .. \ may be made in the form, arrangement, constiation of some of the elements involved in their realization tion, provided that these modifications are not in contradiction .. tion with the object of each of the following claims.
