Les châssis en aluminium à coupure thermique tels que décrits dans le brevet principal 660. 477 sont caractérisés en ce qu'ils sont constitués par l'assemblage de deux profilés constitués chacun par un profilé intérieur et un profilé extérieur, rendus solidaires au moyen d'âmes exécutées en une matière isolante, de manière à former un caisson tubulaire rigide.

De plus, dans le brevet principal 660.477 il est prévu que les âmes parallèles prévues sur les faces des profilés se terminent par une griffe dant le profil intérieur correspond à celui des extrémités des âmes isolantes.
Il est apparu que dans certains cas il pouvait être intéressant d'inverser le mode de liaison entre les dites âmes isolantes et les profilés métalliques, c'est-à-dire que les âmes isolantes sont munies de griffes présentant un profil correspondant à l'extrémité des âmes parallèles des profilés métalliques.
Enfin, dans une variante d'exécution, principalement dans le but de renforcer la rigidité de l'ensemble, les deux âmes isolantes sont réunies par un pont, réalisé également en une matière isolante rigide, ce pont pouvant être une pièce séparée qui est solidarisée des deux âmes isolantes de toute manière appropriée, soit que ce pont soit réalisé d'une seule pièce avec les âmes isolantes.

4' et 5'. L'âme isolante 3 est identique dans les deux formes de réa- lisation, de même que les griffes 6 prévues dans les âmes 4' et 5' correspondent aux griffes 6 prévues dans les âmes 4 et 5.
Dans la forme de réalisation illustrée à la fig. 2, les âmes 4" , et 5'' ne portent plus les griffes 6, mais sont terminées par une partie 6" qui s'emboîte à glissement doux dans la griffe 6''' prévue dans l'extrémité de l'âme isolante 3', Cette forme de réalisation assure une excellente coupure thermique et renforce la rigidité du caisson.

Un tel pont 3" pourrait être prévu dans les formes de réalisation illustrées aux fig, 1 à 4 du brevet principal 660,477, de môme que la disposition particulière des griffes d'accrochage dans les âmes isolantes pourrait être utilises dans les formes de réalisation illustrées aux fig. 1 à 4 du brevet principal 660,477.
