Description

The invention relates to the field of cover panels composed of a core of insulating material sandwiched between two facings.

Traditionally, the connection between juxtaposed panels is ensured, according to a well known technique in carpentry, by engagement of a metal profile forming tongue having a generally rectangular cross-section in grooves forming mortises and opening songs of the souls of the panels.

The interval between the facing edges of two juxtaposed panels is, in general, sealed by means of a bead of synthetic material arranged on the external part Signs.

The installation of these joints requires manpower and time and, despite the care taken, is not always perfectly waterproof. To this must be added that if it is necessary to dismantle the panels, this type of joint disrupts this dismantling and leaves adherent traces that must be removed before using the panels.

To channel runoff entering the connection between panels, the device described in French patent application FR-A-2 633 019 and in the patent application German DE-A-2 454 666 give the profile the shape of a gutter.

French patent application FR-A-2 678 302 implements a joint cover longitudinal carrier of seals which are applied to the external face of the panels by fixing screws, passing through this joint cover and screwing between wings projecting from the connecting tab of the panels. This device provides a solution satisfactory for sealing the connection but increases the installation time since it is necessary to drill the joint cover to make the screw through holes, holes positioned differently at each installation, then install and tighten these screws.

The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks by providing a connection device ensuring the desired tightness, while being implemented easy and quick and eliminating any degradation during the dismantling of the panels.

To this end, in the device according to the invention the connecting tab of the panels is constituted by an extruded tubular profile comprising, between two boxes lateral connected by a veil of material, a central groove with parallel lateral faces opening outwards through the gap between two panels, while the joint cover is integral with a longitudinal central blade projecting perpendicular to the blade internal and comprising, at its free end, at least one bead capable of snap-fastening elastically with at least two facing ribs projecting from the facing faces of the central throat of the tongue.

Thus, the fixing of the joint cover is ensured, after engagement of its blade central between the gap and the panel, by snapping its bead with the ribs formed in the groove of the profile forming the panel assembly tab. Thanks to the presence of the bead along the entire length of the blade and the presence of the ribs on the entire length of the profile forming the assembly tab, there are no constraints for positioning the joint cover which can therefore be put in place quickly.

Advantageously, one of the sections respectively forming the tongue and the central fixing blade is made of synthetic material, while the other element is made of metal.

This arrangement provides the elasticity necessary for the snap connection and eliminates any thermal bridge formation.

In one embodiment of the invention, the two ribs of the tongue on which snaps the bead of the central blade of the joint cover are constituted by the free edges opposite two fins each projecting from one of the opposite faces from the central groove, these free edges being separated by a distance less than the thickness transverse of the bead.

When the central blade is engaged in the interval between the panel, and under the push of the bead, the two fins move away from each other to let the bead then resiliently return to their initial position by opposing everything extraction of this bead.

In another embodiment, the bead formed at the end of the blade central is formed by at least two longitudinal ribs projecting from opposite faces of the blade and capable of cooperating each with one of the superimposed ribs projecting from the face corresponding to the groove of the tongue profile.

This connection mode makes it possible to adjust the compression of the seals interposed between the joint cover and the external faces of the sandwich panels.

  • Other characteristics and advantages will emerge from the description which follows with reference to the appended diagrammatic drawing, representing by way of nonlimiting examples, two embodiments of the sealed connection device according to the invention.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 are cross-sectional views of a first embodiment of the invention, respectively when the joint cover is put in place, and when it is mounted,
  • Figures 3 and 4 are cross-sectional views showing another embodiment of the device, respectively, before assembly and when it is mounted to ensure the tight connection of the junction of two panels.
In this drawing, the reference numerals 2 and 3 denote, in general, two cover panels each made of a core 4 of synthetic material, and for example made of polyurethane or polystyrene, sandwiched between two facings, respectively, exterior 5 and interior 6, of metal or synthetic material. The figures clearly show that the ends of the facings 5 and 6 are folded back at 5a and 6a against the songs of souls and that, when assembled, they are separated by an interval I. From in known manner, the adjoining panels are assembled to each other by means of a profile 7 engaging like a tongue in mortises 8 opening songs of souls of these panels.

In addition to the profile 7, the sealed connection device according to the invention comprises a external joint cover 9 provided, projecting from its face facing the external facing 5 and near its edges, longitudinal grooves 10. In the embodiment shown, these grooves have a general "C" shape and are used for fixing the heels 12a of joints sealing 12 made of synthetic material and working in elastic compression.

In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, the joint cover 9 is made of metal, especially aluminum, and is integral with a central blade 13 extending over its entire length, projecting from its internal face, and comprising, at its end free a bead 14. In the embodiment shown, this bead has, in section transverse, a diamond shape whose width L is greater than the thickness of the blade control unit 13.

The profile 7 constituting the connecting tongue is produced by extrusion and is in synthetic material. It comprises two lateral boxes 7a which, connected to each other by a veil of material 7b, delimit between them a central groove 15 of width greater than the interval I between panels. This groove opens on one side of the profile 7 and has straight and parallel side faces. When assembling the panels, this outlet is arranged so as to coincide with the interval between panels opening to the outside.

The two boxes 7a improve the rigidity of the profile in its cooperating parts with the mortises 8 of the panels and form longitudinal cavities whose ends can be used, on the one hand with junction sleeves, for the assembly of sections of the profile placed end to end, and on the other hand and with gripping means, to slide the profile in the mortises. The end-to-end joining of sections of the profile of the tongue makes it possible to recover the fragments of profiles of lengths lower than that of the panels and eliminate losses, without causing harm any device.

The outer edges of the groove 15 are integral with two opposite fins 16 which, in this embodiment, are each oriented transversely in the direction of the bottom of this groove, so as to form, by their free edges 16a constituting attachment ribs , a “V” for retaining the bead 14. As shown in FIG. 1, these free edges 16a are separated by a distance d which is less than the width L of the bead 14.

When the two panels 2 and 3 are assembled to each other by the tongue 7, the central blade 13 of the joint cover 9 is inserted in the interval I between the two panels.

At the end of this engagement, the bead 14 comes to rest on the ends of the two fins 16, which requires the operator to exert a greater effort, on the one hand, to elastically deform the two fins 16 until they clear a passage sufficient for the bead 14, and on the other hand, to compress the joints 12. As soon as the bead 14 has passed below the ends of the fins 16, these return by elasticity to their initial position by forming obstacles opposing any extraction of this bead 14 and ensuring permanent compression of the seals 12, thus guaranteeing the tightness of the connection thus obtained.

On notera que, si le couvre-joint ne peut pas être extrait suivant une direction parallèle à celle de sa lame centrale 13, il peut néanmoins être retiré par coulissement longitudinal par rapport au profilé formant la languette 7.Note that, if the joint cover cannot be removed in one direction parallel to that of its central blade 13, it can nevertheless be removed by sliding longitudinal with respect to the profile forming the tongue 7.

Thanks to the production of the profile 7 forming a tongue in a material synthetic, having an insulating nature by nature, the sealed connection device according to the invention eliminates any formation of thermal bridges between the outside and the inside of the panels and therefore improves insulation.

The central blade 13 which, in this embodiment, is monolithic with the joint cover 9 can, as in the embodiment described in Figures 3 and 4, be independent of this joint cover and be connected to it by a tenon-mortise type connection identical to that of the embodiment of Figures 3 and 4 or reverse.

The embodiment shown in Figures 3 and 4 differs from the previous by the independence of the central blade 20 with respect to the joint cover 22, by the forms connecting means between the central strip and the profile 7 and by the materials making up this profile 7, the joint cover and the central blade.

The central strip 20 which, in this case, is made of insulating synthetic material, is provided at its end cooperating with the joint cover 22, with a transverse bar 23 giving it, in cross section, the general shape of a "T". This bar is engaged by sliding in a rib 24 of section in "C", integral with the joint cover 22 and arranged projecting from the central part of the internal face of this joint cover. As in the previous embodiment, this joint cover is provided with lateral grooves 10 for the fixing the heels 12a of seals 12 made of elastic synthetic material.

The connecting bead, formed at the free end of the central blade 20, is composed by at least one, and in this case by several superimposed ribs 25, formed longitudinally and projecting from the two opposite faces of this blade. These ribs are intended to cooperate with complementary ribs 26 projecting longitudinally faces facing the groove 15a between the two boxes 7a of the profile 7.

In this embodiment, the groove 15a has a narrower width than the interval I between panels, adapted to the thickness of the bead of the blade 20.

When mounting the joint cover, the ribs protruding from its central blade 20 gradually engage with those protruding from the throat 15a and this until the operator stops pressing on the joint cover, believing that the seals 12 are enough tablets.

In this embodiment, the joint cover 22 and the profile 7 are made of metal, for example aluminum, and only the central blade 20 is made of material synthetic to avoid the formation of thermal bridges.

It follows from the above that, whatever its form of execution, the waterproof connection device according to the invention, provides excellent sealing, is easy to to implement, is compact and eliminates any thermal bridge. Furthermore, during the dismantling the panels, it leaves no visible trace on them and can be reused.
