<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

"Improvement in mobile distribution elements, generally one by one, of objects placed in a tank".
The present invention relates to an improvement to the movable distribution elements, generally one by one, of objects placed in a reservoir, elements having cells for receiving objects, the entrance of which is at least partially flared.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The invention relates in particular to an improvement to the seed-distributing elements present in the single-seed semcirs and aims to ensure a uniform distribution, without missing seed, or doubled seeds, and this at a distribution speed as high as possible,
Currently, distribution elements such as rotary drums or transfer belts have cells of cylindrical or hexagonal section, possibly with a slightly flared tapered entry.
It has been found that as soon as the speed of movement of the mobile element in the tank exceeds a determined speed, the number of cells left empty increases considerably, given that many seeds released at a certain time above the alveoli do not have time to fall before the rear edge of the cell comes to close the space open for the seed to fall.
In the context of the invention, two factors are taken into account in order to remedy the drawbacks of the known distribution elements: on the one hand the fact that the objects, for example seeds, fall into the alveoli under the effect of gravity, a centrifugal force or any other stress tending to move the seed from the reservoir towards the mobile element, on the other hand the fact that the displacement of the mobile element is effected following a well-defined movement. As a result, the improvement according to the invention resides mainly in that, on the front side, considering the direction of advance of the mobile element, the entry of the cells has a profile which is determined by the function of the element movement and the function of the movement of objects passing from the reservoir into the alveoli.
Advantageously according to the invention, when the movable element is driven by a translational movement as well as when the movable element consists of a rotating drum, the inlet

Aforementioned cells have a substantially parabolic profile, the axis of the parabola preferably being located in the axial plane which is parallel to the direction of advance of the mobile element, of the cell, where it extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cell. the top of the parabola being located at the intersection of its axis blinds the sliding surface of the objects on the mobile element,
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention,
With the aim of simplifying the industrial manufacture of the movable element, the aforementioned entry of the cells comprises two portions of inclined corridors written in the parabola, 1 or the aforementioned entry of the cells comprises an inclined passage inscribed in the parable.
The object of the invention is also to promote the output of objects with maximum precision in the succession of time or length intervals. To this end, according to the invention, on the rear side, considering the speed of advance of the mobile element, the cells have a straight profile, substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cells.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description given hereinafter without limitation of an embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawings, in which @

FIG. 2 represents a view in elevation and in section of part of the movable element of the seeder shown in FIG. 1.
Figure 3 shows a plan view of the part of the movable element shown in Figure 2.

In the different figures, the same reference numbers designate identical elements.
The part of the seeder shown in FIG. 1 comprises, per seeding unit, a rotating disc 1 mounted on a shaft 2, in a casing carrying bearings for the shaft 2. The casing also carries a hopper 4 for feeding the seeds. seeds.
At 5 is designated the control shaft of the rotation of the disc l.
At its periphery, the disc 1 has one or more rows of cells 6 for receiving and transferring the seeds.
For the establishment of the profile of the cells, it has been considered that the disc 1 having a relatively large diameter, the displacement of the successive portions of the disc 1 in the reservoir 4 is a substantially linear displacement. As shown in Figure 2, the cells 6 are cylindrical and their entry 8, considering that the direction of advance of the cell is in accordance with the arrow 7 has a parabolic profile, the intersection 10 of the entry 8 with the peripheral surface 9 of the disc 1 following an ovoid path.
The parabolic profile of the inlet 8 of the cell 6 results from the combination of the movement of the seeds under the effect of the acceleration resulting from the force of gravity driving them and the movement which was considered to be uniform advancement of the cell 6, or rather of the element in which the cell is formed, that is to say of the disc 1.
Indeed, when we place the point 0 of the coordinates x, y at a distance m which we will talk about below. of the longitudinal axis 11 of the cell, we obtain:

In addition, the intersection of the entrance to the cells with the plane of the surface of the mobile element may follow a different route from and
