<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

"Packaging bag having a crossed bottom or a glued backing bottom" .-
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In order to enable the buyer to check the foodstuffs packaged in paper bags, window bags are known on the one hand, the opaque paper of which has an opening behind which a transparent sheet is glued, and on the other on the side, so-called transparent bags are known which consist entirely of a sheet of transparent synthetic material. But in sachets or window bags, one can only achieve with particular difficulties the vacuum or gas etanoheity which is very much desired today.
Furthermore, for reasons of resistance or solidity, the windows cannot in general be made as large as could be desired, so that always there is only a very small part of the contents of the sachet which is visible. But due to the misuse often performed with half empty packages, it is important that buyers can see as much of the contents of the package as possible. On the other hand, transparent bags leave nothing to be desired from this point of view, because depending on the nature of the sheet material used, they are welded to be gas-tight where they are likely to be heat sealed and this is just some sort of impression which may make parts of the contents of the sachet invisible.
Transparent pouches have the significant drawback that it is not possible to stand them upright due to the flexibility of the sheet material. This prevents the sale of food and other goods packaged in transparent bags because the bags cannot be. displayed in an orderly fashion on shelves of stores and the like so that some inscription on the side
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
In addition, transparent bags of this kind can only be gripped with some difficulty due to the lack of rigidity of the sheet material.
The problem at the basis of the invention is therefore to provide a packaging sachet which makes it possible to examine a large part of the contents of the sachet and can be closed to be absolutely gas, water and gas proof. vacuum and which when filled has good standing resistance, and which has the necessary rigidity to be emptied easily.
This problem is solved by a packaging seal having a cross-shadow or a glued backing base, in which according to the invention the material of a whole bag consisting of a sheet of cellophane. or other transparent material heat-sealable on one side in the vicinity of the bottom and immediately adjacent side parts and on the other side in the vicinity of the filling end, is provided with a outer covering in rigid paper.
According to the invention, it has also been recognized that a complete sachet of a transparent heat-sealable sheet can be employed and that the material thereof can be provided near the bottom and near the seal, of rigid paper to guarantee by a corresponding folding of the bottom, that is to say the formation of a crossed bottom or glued support bottom, the standing resistance and the desired rigidity during the filling while a on the other hand, the absolute integrity of the filled and closed sachet is ensured and that most of the contents of the sachet remain visible.
In one embodiment of the invention, the outer layers of paper are not connected to each other and the gap or spacing between one and the other layer
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
at least corresponds to. one-third of the height of the sachet. A sachet of this kind can be made in a particularly easy way because it is only on the unbroken strip of the transparent artificial material sheet used for making the whole sachet that segments or pieces of paper must be arranged and must be connected to the strip of the sheet by gluing or hot sealing,
after which separation cuts for making the strip segments for forming the pouches are made in the area in which the rigid paper segments lie on the sheet of artificial material, so that the latter are divided to this is the reinforcement part of the bottom and the reinforcement part of the filling end *
In another embodiment of the invention, the outer layers of paper may extend together the full height of the bag and at least on the front side and back side of the outer layer of paper a window is formed. extending over at least one third of the surface of the respective wall.
In this way, the rigidity of the yet unfilled bag is particularly good, because at least in the area of the edges of the bag the rigid paper extends from the reinforcing part of the bottom to the reinforcing part of the sachet. filling end and acts as an outer carcass or framework for the artificial material bag lying therein, the material of which is thus not to be considered from the point of view of rigidity.
Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained later in the description with reference to the drawings in which!
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Figure 1 is a perspective representation of an exemplary embodiment of a bag with a solid support bottom according to the invention, in the open position, and Figure 2 is an exemplary embodiment of a bag with a cross bottom according to the invention, being in the folded position,
As shown in Figure 1 in the embodiment shown therein,
a complete wrapping bag 1 consisting of cellophane or other similar material that can be hot-sealed is provided with an outer oouohe 2 or rigid paper which extends over the edges 3 of the bag over the entire the height of the bag but which, on the front and rear sides and on the side faces, leaves free windows 4 and 5 through which the contents of the bag can be seen through the transparent layer 1.
The windows are shaped sufficiently large so that they extend respectively over at least one third of the surface of the corresponding bag when the latter is in the closed position. As a result, the contents of the sachet are visible almost as well as in an ordinary transparent sachet consisting solely of a sheet of transparent artificial material. The outer layer of paper 2 guarantees by its folded part during the formation of the bottom, a good standing resistance of the filled bag and by its part surrounding the filling end of the bag a maintenance without difficulty of the bag during the packing. taken.
Before the manufacture of the bag, after the stamping of the window openings, the outer oouohe 2 is already applied to the strip of foil forming the inner layer 1 and is connected thereto, in a known manner, by gluing or sealing.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
hot. After filling the sachet, the filled end thereof is closed by heat sealing.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 2, a complete sachet made of cellophane or other similar artificial material is provided in the region of the filling end, with an external oouohe 7 of paper and in the region of the crossed bottom, an outer layer 8 of paper.
In the middle zone 9 of the bag, the latter, as shown in the figure, consists only of the sheet of synthetic material, so that this middle part constitutes at least a third of the height of the bag to return the content to the sachet visible for the most part,
In this exemplary embodiment, the outer layers of paper are applied again, before the bag is folded,
on the foil strip for forming the bag and are connected aveo thereof. Then the separation of the pieces to be subsequently transformed into a bag is carried out by carrying out the separation cut respectively through the orohe of rigid paper, part of which still serves to form a bottom of the bag and of which the between part serves reinforcement of the filling end of a bag. A sachet according to FIG. 2 also makes it possible to obtain the advantages which have been mentioned in the description of the sachet according to FIG. 1.
