"Chaussure de natation"
La présente invention est relative à une variante de réalisation de la chaussure de natation faisant l'objet du brevet belge n PV. 8,465 du 2 février 1965 et qui comprend essentiellement une nageoire se montant sur une pièce chaussante grâce à des moyens de raison permettant le réglage de la position d'extension de cette nageoire par rapport à cette pièce chaussante.
Diverses formes de réalisation du montage à position réglable de la.nageoire sur la pièce chaussante ont été décrites dans le brevet principal. D'autres variantes d'exécution sont

présentées ici, ces variantes appliquant les principes généraux développés dans ce brevet principal. @ @
Suivant la présente invention, une portion de la nageoire, ou éventuellement d'une pièce intermédiaire entre celle-ci et la pièce chaussante, est montée à glissement dans cette pièce chaussante, des systèmes de verrouillage prévus sur la nageoire ou.la pièce chaussante permettant de rendre ces deux éléments solidaires dans la position d'extension choisie de la nageoire par rapport à la pièce chaussante.
Suivant un mode de réalisation particulier, la nageoire comporte une extension arrière se glissant longitudinalement sur ou dans la pièce chaussante, la nageoire portant des verrous à déplacement transversal, par exemple deux verrous opposés, des- @ - fines à s'introduire dans des logements correspondants de la pièce chaussante, celle-ci présentant suivant sa longueur un nombre détermi- né de logements de ce genre, de manière à permettre le choix de la position d'extension de la nageoire par rapport à la pièce chaussante,
Suivant un autre mode de réalisation, la pièce chaussante comporte une série de verrous, à sollicitation élastique, opposés deux à deux au long d'une voie de glissement prévue pour une portion de la nageoire,
ces verrous agissant sur cette portion de nageoire pour maintenir celle-ci dans la position choisie par rapport à la pièce chaussante.
D'autres détails et particularités de l'invention ressortiront de la description donnée ci-après à titre d'exemple non limitatif et avec référence aux dessins annexés.

A la figure 1, on a représenté une vue de dessous avec brisures partielles d'une chaussure suivant l'invention. La piècecchaussante 1 présente dans sa surface inférieure la une voie de glissement 3 dans laquelle peuvent se déplacer les bords laté- raux 4a et 4b d'une extension arrière 4 d'une nageoire 2. Les rebords supérieurs de gauche 5 et de droite 6 (en considérant la figure 1) de cette voie de glissement présentent des logements 7 opposés deux à deux et dans lesquels s'introduisent deux verrous opposés 8 et 9 que porte l'extension arrière 4 de la nageoire 2.
Ces verrous sont poussés ou maintenus dans les logements par un moyen élastique quelconque 10, tel qu'un ressort, un bloc de caoutchouc, etc. Ces verrous peuvent se déplacer dans une chambre
11 que présente l'extension 4, cette chambre étant recouverte, lorsque les verrous sont en place, par une plaque supérieure 12 présentant deux boutonnières transversales 13 (voir spécialement la figure 3) que traversent les boutons de commande 14 et 15 des deux verrous 8 et 9.
Il suffit de déplacer l'un vers l'autre, à l'aide de deux doigts, les boutons 14 et 15 pour que les verrous soient dégagés de leurs logements 7, en comprimant le moyen élasti- que 10 et que l'on puisse ainsi soit démontrer la nageoire, soit la mettre dans une autre mposition d'extension par rapport à la pièce chaussante, et ce en libérant les verrous 8 et 9 dans leurs autres logements 7.
La nageoire, comme montrée à la figure 4, est oblique par rapport et sous le plan de la pièce chaussante mais il est évident que toutes les variantes de nageoire prévues dans le brevet principal peuvent être envisagées. Il est d'ailleurs à

remarquer que, lorsqu'on utilise le mot "nageoire" dans la présente description ou dans le résumé final, on entend non seulement une nageoire proprement dite, mais aussi éventuellement une pièce intermédiaire reliant la nageoire à la pièce chaussante, comme décrit dans le brevet principal.
La surface supérieure 16 (figure 4) de la pièce chaussante comportera des moyens de fixation de cette pièce au pied,
Aux figures 5 et 6, on a prévu une variante de réalisation , dans laquelle les verrous de blocage sont portés par la., pièce chaussante.
La pièce chaussante 1 comporte suivant sa longueur une série de logements transversaux 17, opposés deux à deux et rece- vant chacun un verrou le poussé ou maintenu vers l'intérieur par un moyen élastique 19, les têtes biseautées 20 de ces verrous surplom- bant une voie de glissement 21 que présente la pièce chaussante 1.
La nageoire 2 comporte une extension arrière 4 dont les bords laté- raux 22 et 23 peuvent glisser dans la voie 21. Cette extension 4 porte en outre une pièce auxiliaire 24 à coins coupés pour corres- pondre au biseau des têtes 20 des verrous 18. On comprendra immé- diatement que, dans la position de la figure 1, l'extension 4 et, par conséquent, la nageoire 2 seront bien maintenues en place grâce au fait que les bords latéraux 22 et 23 de cette extension se trouvent dans la voie de glissement 21 grâce aussi aux verrous
16 dont les têtes biseautées bloquent la pièce auxilaire 24 aux quatre coins de celle-ci.
Par contre, si on veut enlever la na-' geoire ou choisir une autre position d'extension de celle-ci par rapport à la pièce chaussante, il suffit de déplacer la nageoire longitudinalement dans l'un ou l'autre sens, les têtes biseautées des verrous étant aisément refoulées vers l'intérieur des logements transversaux 17, à l'encontre des moyens élastiques 19, lors d'un tel déplacement de la nageoire. Lorsqu'on a donné une nouvel- le position d'extension à celle-ci ou lorsqu'on l'a séparée de la

pièce chaussante, les verrous reprennent automatiquement la position de la figure 5.
Par-dessus les divers verrous 18 et leurs loge- ments 17, sera prévue une plaque longitudinale 25 montée à pivo- tement en 26 à une extrémité et comportant un certain nombre d'en- coches 27 suivant sa longueur, ces encoches s'adaptant sous la tête de broches 28, de sorte que les plaques 25 seront bien main- tenues contre la base de la pièce chaussante. A l'extréité de ces plaques, opposée à celle comportant le moyen de pivotement 26, on prévoira un moyen quelconque pour bloquer lesdites plaques en pla- ce.
Il sera évident que bien des variantes de systèmes . de verrouillage de ce genre peuvent être prévues sans psortir pour autant du cadre du présent brevet, celui-ci n'étant donc nullement limité aux détails donnés.

The present invention relates to an alternative embodiment of the swimming boot which is the subject of Belgian patent n PV. 8,465 of February 2, 1965 and which essentially comprises a fin being mounted on a piece of footwear by means of reason allowing the adjustment of the position of extension of this fin relative to this piece of footwear.

According to the present invention, a portion of the fin, or optionally of an intermediate piece between the latter and the footwear, is slidably mounted in this footwear piece, locking systems provided on the fin or the footwear allowing to make these two elements integral in the chosen extension position of the fin relative to the footwear.
According to a particular embodiment, the fin has a rear extension sliding longitudinally on or into the footwear, the fin carrying transversely displacement bolts, for example two opposite bolts, thin to fit into housings. corresponding pieces of the footwear, the latter having along its length a determined number of housings of this type, so as to allow the choice of the position of extension of the fin relative to the footwear,
According to another embodiment, the piece of footwear comprises a series of latches, with elastic bias, opposed two by two along a sliding path provided for a portion of the fin,
these locks acting on this fin portion to keep it in the chosen position relative to the footwear.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description given below by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In Figure 1, there is shown a bottom view with partial breaks of a shoe according to the invention. The footwear 1 has in its lower surface la a sliding path 3 in which the lateral edges 4a and 4b of a rear extension 4 of a fin 2 can move. The upper left 5 and right 6 edges ( considering FIG. 1) of this sliding path have recesses 7 opposed in pairs and into which are introduced two opposite bolts 8 and 9 which the rear extension 4 of the fin 2 carries.
These latches are pushed or held in the housings by some elastic means 10, such as a spring, a rubber block, etc. These locks can move in a room

The footwear 1 comprises along its length a series of transverse housings 17, opposed in pairs and each receiving a lock pushed or held inwards by an elastic means 19, the bevelled heads 20 of these locks overhanging a sliding track 21 presented by the footwear 1.
The fin 2 comprises a rear extension 4 whose lateral edges 22 and 23 can slide in the channel 21. This extension 4 also carries an auxiliary part 24 with cut corners to correspond to the bevel of the heads 20 of the bolts 18. It will immediately be understood that, in the position of FIG. 1, the extension 4 and, consequently, the fin 2 will be well kept in place thanks to the fact that the lateral edges 22 and 23 of this extension are in the path. of sliding 21 thanks also to the locks
16, the bevelled heads of which block the auxiliary part 24 at the four corners thereof.
On the other hand, if we want to remove the fin or choose another position of extension thereof relative to the piece of footwear, it suffices to move the fin longitudinally in one or the other direction, the heads bevelled locks being easily pushed inwardly of the transverse housings 17, against the elastic means 19, during such movement of the fin. When it has been given a new extension position or when it has been separated from the

piece of footwear, the locks automatically return to the position of figure 5.
Above the various bolts 18 and their housings 17, there will be provided a longitudinal plate 25 pivotally mounted at 26 at one end and having a number of notches 27 along its length, these notches matching under the pin head 28, so that the plates 25 will be securely held against the base of the footwear. At the end of these plates, opposite to that comprising the pivoting means 26, any means will be provided for locking said plates in place.
It will be obvious that there are many variations of systems. locking of this kind can be provided without departing from the scope of the present patent, the latter therefore not being limited to the details given.
