"Safety device, in particular for hydraulic circuits of limited capacity,
The present invention relates, as a new industrial product, to a safety device in particular for a hydraulic circuit of limited capacity * characterized in that it consists of a cylinder in which a compressible piston can slide, which piston, under the effect of the thrust of the fluid coming from any pressure generator and passing through the device to actuate a receiving apparatus or, passing through it again when it is discharged towards the control by said receiving apparatus, moves longitudinally in two opposite directions,
which makes it possible in particular to interrupt the distribution of fluid to the defective circuit in which it is interposed
Piston characterized by the fact that it itself consists of two associated pistons, one of these
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
pistons comprising a fitting appendage which can slide in a corresponding cylinder formed in the other piston, which in particular allows the injection of a determined quantity of liquid, downstream of the device, during each pressurized mine of the circuit.
According to another characteristic, when the piston is mechanically maintained in an intermediate position, a spring-loaded valve allows the fluid coming from a chest of drawers to pass through it to fill the circuit governed by this command} on the other hand, when the piston can be move freely, this valve normally closes under the effect of the increase in pressure caused downstream of the safety device by the movement of said piston.
According to one embodiment of the invention, a needle is capable of receiving the orifice on the downstream side of the piston and thus closing it, which stops the distribution of fluid to the circuit which has become defective,
The invention also extends to the following characteristics and their various possible combinations,
A safety device is shown by way of non-limiting example, in the accompanying drawings in which:
- Figure 1 is a sectional view of a safety device according to the invention (the piston is there in the rest position *) - Figure 32 is a sectional view of this same device during its operation piaton compressed.)
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Figure 3 is a sectional view of the same device where the piston is in its extreme rear position (position allowing the return of any excess fluid from the circuit to the control.)
It is understood that these drawings are schematic and do not show the means of attachment of the cylinder cover, the various threads or other construction details. According to the invention,
the present device consists of a cylinder (1) in which can move a compressible piston held in extension by a spring (4) and formed of two associated pistons 2, 3) one end of the appendage (5) of the piston (3) being fitted and being able to slide in the cylinder 6) of the piston (2),
A needle (7) making it possible to close the duct (8) of the piston (2) is integral with a movable rod (9), one end of which projects from the piston (2), its other end being engaged in the duct (10) of the appendix (5), A spring (11), inserted between the piston (2) and the head (12) of the rod (9)
tends to maintain it in its rear position. :
A ball (18) is held applied by means of a spring (14) on a seat (15) formed by the widening of the duct (10
A needle (the) is capable of receiving the orifice (17) of the assembly forming the piston when the piston comes into full stop, downstream side of the cylinder (1),
Cups, (18,19,20) are used for
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
the tightness of the piston assembly.
An orifice (21) in the cylinder (1) is used! the arrival of the fluid, the same orifice (22) serves as its outlet to the receiver circuit,
A via stop (28) makes it possible to stop the whole of the piston at a certain distance from the needle (le) during the bleeding of the circuit.
BLEEDING THE CIRCUIT.
When, using a pressure generator, a fluid is sent to the receiving circuit in which the present valve is inserted, this fluid enters the cylinder (1) through the orifice (21) and exerts a thrust at the 'rear of the piston (2,3) that it cannot pass through, the central passage thereof being closed by the needle (7) and the ball (13), therefore it is the entire piston that is moves towards the front of the cylinder (1) where it abuts against the via stop (28) which has previously been sufficiently screwed towards the inside of said cylinder (1).
At this moment, the piston not being able to move forward, the pressure prevailing upstream of the device increases until the thrust which it exerts on the needle (7) via the conduit (8) is greater. to the power of the spring (11) which then compresses, leaving the needle (7) to conceal, allowing the fluid to fill the cylinder (6) of the piston (2) and to enter the duct (10) of the appendage (5) where it exerts its thrust on the ball (13),
The latter moving away from its seat as soon as this thrust is greater than the power of the spring (14), allows the fluid to flow downstream of the piaton, through the orifice (17) to fill the remaining free space at the front of the cylinder (1) and, through the orifice (22), the entire receiver circuit.

When the circuit is completely purged, the

If, during operation, a loss of fluid occurs in the receiver circuit, the piston will advance progressively to the front of the cylinder (1) where its orifice (17) will be blocked by the needle (16) thus stopping any distribution of fluid to the receiver circuit become defective while leaving the pressure to remain at the outlet of the control, which allows it to continue to operate other devices.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described above ot shown and from which we can provide other variants or other embodiments without pour'cela departing from the scope of invention.
