Belt conveyor, sheathed.
Conveyors are known in which the product is driven in a sheath by transverse members mounted on one or two chains, or even by belts.
In these devices, the product rubs against the entire inner surface of the groin while it is being conveyed and, as a result, it risks being damaged; in addition, the sheath undergoes significant wear and, finally, these devices, because of the aforementioned friction, require a significant driving force.
The present invention relates to a belt conveyor, sheathed, more particularly but not exclusively, intended for the transport of powdery or granular products, remarkable in that a belt with corrugated capacity edges is used in order to be able to drive, to the '' inside a sealed sheath, the products to be transported

which has frctt'n thus qjo on, or against, one of the sides of the d1t gaina q) 11, that is to say the position ûTutili3atioa of the convoy.
Arso co priacipe, ca oti <: st a reduction of the friction of 75% in 13.-3 vertical poaitioas and returns of the conveyor which corrosponding to the worst conditions of use.
Cala avoids the deterioration of the transported product and allows to reduce the power necessary to drive the conveyor.
In the event that the conveyor belt is used in the inverted position (in a horizontal or oblique plane) the sheath has, in all places deemed useful, product distribution valves, combined with dedication hoppers.
In one embodiment, each part of the sheath of the conveyor, in which one of the two strands of the belt is housed, is constituted by one or more tubular elements, of rectangular or square section, abutted to each other. , the free ends of the pipe thus established being each joined to a box forming internally the semi-circular part of the sheath and comprising a return drum for said belt, one of the two drums being driven in rotation by the 'by means of an electric motor with suitably reduced speed.
The boxes between the conveyor respectively comprise a receiving and discharge thirty whose direction of their chute varies depending on the position of use of the conveyor which may be horizontal, vertical or oblique.
Finally, side slides are provided in one of the two rectilinear parts of the sheath in order to support the lower leading or driven run of the belt in the horizontal or oblique positions of the conveyor.
For this purpose, the containment borders are fixed

recessed from the edges of the conveyor belt so that they form Suidés slides in the aforementioned slides.
The invention will be better understood from the description which will follow and with reference to the accompanying drawing by way of indicative but non-limiting example in which

intended use of the conveyor (horizontal, vertical or oblique).
Furthermore, lateral slides 9 are provided in the sheath 3 'to support the leading or lower driven strand of the conveyor belt 1, in particular in the horizontal or oblique positions of the conveyor.
To this end, it should be noted that the containment edges 2 are fixed on the belt 1 set back from its edges 1 'which thus force guided slides in the slides 9 (FIG. 2).
According to one embodiment, the sheaths 3 and 3 ′ can be established with the aid of several sections comprising at each of their ends a connecting collar allowing them to be butted together with the others.
With a principle of conveyor belt 1, with corrugated edges 2, the pulverulent or granular products are entrained inside the sheath 3-3 'without undergoing significant friction since they are only in contact with the sheath. 'one of the sides of said sheath and this, under the worst conditions of use, that is to say in the vertical or upside-down position of the conveyor.
This reduction in the friction of the transported products prevents their possible deterioration, limits the wear of the sheath on the friction face and makes it possible to reduce the power required to drive the conveyor.
In the case where the conveyor is used in the inverted position, that is to say in which the belt strand conveying the product presents, with its borders, the section of an inverted U, distribution valves, with hoppers 10 are provided on the roctilinear and interested part of the @ lower sheath of the conveyor apparatus to discharge the product to the desired locations.
@ In the example shown, which includes a conveyor

horizontal I, a vertical conveyor II and another horizontal conveyor III working in the inverted position. It can also be provided on the vertical one, for raising the product,. one or more valves with hoppers 11 making it possible to discharge. the product at different stages.
Of course, the present invention does not apply to the embodiment described and shown but extends, on the contrary, to all variants of arrangements and combinations according to the desired routing of the product.
