<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

d'un corps normal, obtenu par fusion ou estampage. dans lequel est logé le petit piston de fermeture, maintenu à da place par au moins deux fiches radiales à expansion disposées au dedans et non accessibles de l'extérieur ; petit piston sont appliqués deux thoroldes , dont un remplit les fonctions de joint d'étanchéité et l'autre de nettoyeur et boite d'étanchéi- té et l'autre petit volant d'actionnement appliqué peut être cacheté pour éviter son ouverture accidentelle et, par conséquent , la sortie ou fuite du gaz;

"Gas shut-off valve, particularly applicable to liquid gas cylinders and the like;".
The present invention relates to a shut-off valve for gas, particularly applicable to liquid gas cylinders and the like.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
It is well known that, particularly on liquid gas cylinders and the like, special valves are applied which allow the distribution duct to be closed when the use of fuel ceases; such valves must also have the characteristic of being able to be chetés against the possibility of fraudulent opening and have very good qualities from the functional point of view because due to the danger that the passage of gas presents, they can cause serious damage to the user of the taps.
The main faults of valves normally on the market are in particular the possibility of being opened fraudulently or damaged (provided that the internal components are fixed with ferrules or rings, pins, or grains accessible from the outside) the ease of opening of the valve (controlled by a small double-needle flywheel) and the insufficient sealing reliability (achieved by means of a single thoroid, the introduction of a small foreign particle sufficient to compromise its effectiveness.)
The specific aim of the present invention is the production of a valve, for the specified or equivalent uses,
capable of eliminating the drawbacks described and offering absolute guarantees of safe and constant operation as well as of perfect safety against the effects of leaks or accidental openings.
The advantageous industrial results are conferred on the present valve substantially by the fact that it is composed, according to the present invention.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
of a normal body, obtained by fusion or stamping. in which is housed the small closing piston, held in place by at least two radial expansion pins arranged inside and not accessible from the outside; small piston are applied two thoroldes, one of which performs the functions of seal and the other of cleaner and seal box and the other small actuating handwheel applied can be sealed to prevent accidental opening and, consequently, the exit or leakage of gas;
the conduit for communication with the outside, instead of being arranged normally at the seat of the valve as usual, has an inclination of about 10 in relation to the same, allowing a more rapid and rational filling of the bottle - the and determining a smaller pressure drop during the operation.
These and other more specific characteristics of the present invention will be better understood during the detailed description of a proffered form of 1, embodiment of the invention illustrated by the appended drawing, in which: FIG. 1 shows the valve in longitudinal section in fig. 2 shows a cross section of the same tap taken along line A-A.
With reference to the figures of the drawing: the valve is composed of a body (10) in the lower part of which is the conduit (12) which leads to the bottle and is provided with the seat (12), in correspondence to which is executed the inclined outer duct (13)

about 10.
Inside the body (10) is placed a small closing control piston (14), provided at one end with the gasket (15) functioning as a closure of the seat (12) and at the other end with '' a narrowing with a small mushroom head (16)

on the head of the latter is provided an axial hole (19) where is introduced the plug or plug (20), with conical point and threaded in correspondence of its end, which pin causes the expansion in the radial direction of the plugs (21 ) predisposed in proportionate holes of the small piston (14) to which are applied the two rings or thoroldes (22), (23) acting respectively as a pressure washer and as a sealing means; the pipe or sleeve (17) has a. thread (24), single thread, which finds its corresponding in the upper part of the body of the valve into which it is screwed determining the opening and closing of the seat (12) by means of the gasket (15).
The plug or dowel (20) has, on the top, a modeling (25), for example a square or hexagon or equivalent which serves for its' screwing on the small piston (14) by means of a small suitable key; this to prevent its accidental or unwanted opening without the prior breaking of the seal or stamp (26) applied to the head of the small steering wheel (18). In the event that the valve is forced, any danger of leaks is avoided, the damage being limited to the
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
of the small head (16), while there remains the possibility of closing the valve by means of the small handwheel (18 'acting on the small piston (14).
The valve is assembled as follows: insert the plugs (21) (four in the cases given as an example, but they could even be two or three; in the predisposed holes radially uans the small piston (14), then introduce the latter completely through the rings or thoroldes (22-23) and the packing.
(15) and associated with the bayonet with the small handwheel (18) which screws into the body of the valve (10) then the plug or pin (20) is introduced into the axial hole of the small piston (14) by screwing it fully; the pins (21) will be pushed radially into the chamber (27), provided in the body (10), by blocking the small piston which, even being able to slide axially for a determined path, can no longer be extracted if not by unscrewing said pin after breaking the seal (26) applied to the hole which contains it.
The present invention has been described and shown purely by way of indicative but non-limiting example, and with the aim of demonstrating its essential characteristics; It is understood that, without departing from the scope of the said invention, other variants and modifications and even improvements may be made, all according to the various requirements and convenience of production and use as well as any equivalent product exhibiting a or more of the characteristics specified below:
