<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

annexed represent by way of explanation and not limitation an achievement of the improvement envisaged, where:
Fig. 1 shows schematically an elevational and front view of the installation of a counter showing a boiler or the equivalent, partially in section, and the application of the improvement which is the subject of the present patent.
Fig.2 is a side elevational view of the installation of the "espresso" and its connection.
Referring to @ @ above, 1 represents a boilers or percolator or similar installed on a counter 24.2 re presents the volume of hot water remaining in the tank or reservoir of the appliance 1 and heated by the source of heat arranged in 3.
By 4 is shown a heat absorber taken from the mass of hot water 2 surrounding it and in the example constituted by a coil whose inlet at 5 is connected to an external pipe 6 on the path of which are interposed before - carefully an anti-limescale device 7, then a shut-off valve 8 before it is connected to the pressurized food water pipe 9. The outlet 10 of the pressurized hot water from the coil 4 is connected to a pipe exterior 11 which, passing through the interior of column 12 supported by the flanges 13 of the so-called "espresso" device 14, ends in the latter where 15 represents the operating lever.
On the column 12 is advantageously mounted a bracket 16 supporting the height-adjustable rod 17 of the plate 18 on which the receptacle intended to receive the coffee delivered by the "espresso" 14 rests.
Below the "espresso" 14, see Fig. 2, there is advantageously disposed a small container 19 forming a bowl for collecting lost coffee falling from the plate 18 with the discharge orifice 19a being connected by a pipe 20 preferably in rubber or the equivalent, opening at its other end at 21 into the drain pipe 22 of the rinsing tank 25 placed in the counter, the service table of which is shown at 24.
