<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
EXEMPLE 4. -
Des cuirets de bovins prétraités de la manière habituel- le, sont tannés à l'aide de 10% du sulfate de chrome "Chromosal B" (26% d'oxyde de chrome ; basicité 331/3 d'après "Bayer-Ratgeber fr die Lederindustrie" édition 1952, Le 257/Fa, page 59, tableau I) et le graissage se fait pendrnt le tannage, avec 8% d'une émulsion d'un sulfitate mixte à. partie;
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

It is also known that if the leather subjected to a chrome tanning and a combined tanning, is greased or impregnated with oils, fats and waxes, by the processes of coating or hot greasing its capacity to water absorption is significantly reduced.
But it is clear that these greasing processes are not suitable for making light leathers for shoe uppers, leather goods leathers which have undergone a combined tanning of suede-leathers, clothing leathers, etc. hydrophobic.
