<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Revendications.

The invention relates to a combustion chamber for liquid fuel burners.
The object of the invention is to provide a combustion chamber which can be easily mounted inside a boiler supplied by. a liquid fuel burner.
For this purpose, the combustion chamber according to the invention is formed by prefabricated refractory elements, to be assembled on a base of refractory stones. belon an advantageous embodiment, the assembled prefabricated elements delimit a vertical chamber, open
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
at its upper part, having, in the axis of the burner nozzle, an orifice for the passage of the flame. according to a preferred embodiment, the combustion chamber has an oblong shape, the major axis of which corresponds to that of the flame of the burner, the wall facing the orifice of the flame having a curvature of smaller radius.
Other peculiarities and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which will be given below of a combustion chamber for liquid fuel burners according to the invention; this description is given only by way of example and in no way limits the invention; the reference notations relate to the attached figure.
This figure shows, in perspective, a combustion chamber according to the invention.
The combustion chamber consists of elements essentially of two different types, in particular the elements.
1 and the elements 2. As shown in the drawing, these elements fit together, at 3, along vertical lines, which obviously facilitates the assembly of said chamber. vans the wall near the burner is provided an orifice 4 for the passage de.la flame; @ this orifice made by two recesses of semicircular shape est'prévue in the adjacent faces of the paned parts of each of the elements 1.
The whole, made of refractory stones, is mounted on a base of also refractory stones 5, all the elements of which have been cemented to each other. The base, formed by the stones 5, is covered with a refractory cement on which the elements forming the combustion chamber in question are placed.
This chamber is open at its upper part and has, facing the orifice 4, a stronger curvature which corresponds well to the requirements posed by a good combustion of the flame inside the chamber.

It is obvious that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment which has just been described and that in particular the chamber could consist of a greater number of elements, by the interposition for example with intermediate elements between elements 1 and 2. It would obviously also be possible to provide another method of assembly or to provide the various elements with fastening parts of an appropriate type.
Claims.
1. combustion chamber for liquid fuel burners, characterized in that it consists of prefabricated refractory elements, to be assembled on a base of refractory stones.
