Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 EMI1.1
 r.L". i 1..r .

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   The present patent relates to a cutting system for making a cardboard box holder or any semi-rigid material.
 EMI1.1
 r.L ". i 1..r.

   Its most striking advantages are a) by virtue of its perfectly rectangular format, this box holder allows significant savings in cardboard due to its perfect inscription in standard formats; b) because of its simplicity of cutting, this can be done in a single machine operation; c) due to the cutting system, the boxes are perfectly maintained in the box holder, the latter once closed; d) still due to the cutouts, the box holder closed on the boxes itself remains in the closed position, the two handles facing each other; e) it does not require gluing or stapling.

   The following description referring to the drawing boards is not at any time limiting and any format, shape or graphic adaptation to be printed on the can holders is permitted.

   FIG. I represents the box-holder cut entirely flat; we have at I the bottom of the box holder itself, it is this part which will be in contact with the support when the boxes are in the box holder. In 2 and 2 ', we have the surfaces

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 cardboard which must receive the two cutouts forming handles A and A1.

   These cardboard surfaces are delimited on the one hand by the 'cutout of the top of the box holder and on the other hand by the fold B and': 8 'which allows to join; the handles together, the box holder once mounted .

     Ep 4, 4 ', 4 ", 4"', 4 "", and 4 "" ', we have the cutouts intended to receive the surfaces of the boxes. When placing the box holder, the labels are inserted between these cutouts and are perfectly legible, the box holder once closed. In d, d ', d ", says 10 d" ", d" "', we have strips of cardboard intended to fix the cover of 'boot .. In c, c', c", c "', tapers c "" ', we have small notches intended to receive the base of the boxes in an arc. These notches are parallel to the fold delimiting the bottom proper of the box holder, X and @
Figure 2 gives us the position of the boxes when they are placed in the box holder.

   We see that the base of the metal boxes rests on the bottom of the box holder. The width of this bottom being calculated a little less than the diameter of the bottom of the metal boots, the folded edge of these engages in the notches c, c ', and' $ ci '8 c "", c " "'. The purpose of this is to fix the boxes to their base and prevent them from coming out of the boot holder by the sides which are open.

   Figure 3 shows the boxes in place in the closed box holder. If we consider figure 2, we will notice that when the handles of the can holder are brought closer to each other, the different boxes must take place in the notches 4, 4 ', 4 "provided for this purpose. 'on the other hand, the specially calculated cardboard tabs d "', d" ", d" "'will be wedged inside the lid of the boxes. By this automatic operation we have a fixing of the box holder handle to handle and it will hold perfectly closed. On the other hand, the fixing of the tabs d "', d" ", d" "' in the lids of the boxes results in fixing them by the top since their base is already fixed in the notches c , CC".

   Figure 4 shows us in detail the installation of a box and its. fixation. We have in c "the small notch intended to receive the base edge of the box, in F we have the box itself.

 same which appears in cutout 4 "" 'of Figure I, and at d "". the small hinged tab which wedges into the recess of the cover.

  CONCLUSION
