Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

   The invention applies to all types of known or imaginable envelopes and its aim, while possibly advertising, to allow the fast and easy opening of the envelopes, without a paper cutter or special machine.

   A similar process has already been applied, without any form of advertising, to certain types of letter cards consisting of a sheet of relatively strong paper, the edges of which are glued and provided at a certain distance with a continuous perforation; the written card is folded in two on itself so as to juxtapose the edges and to glue them. The fold thus closed itself constitutes the envelope, the opening of which is then made by tearing along the marginal perforations.

   The invention relates to a novel method in that it applies to all current envelopes without modifying the shape in any way and that it can not be used for advertising or other purposes.
Substantially, the method of the invention consists of continuous perforations made along at least one of the edges of the casing and at a certain distance from it, said perforations, of any shape, constituting a single line. or one or more specific indications such as trade mark, firm name, service indications or others, or these various elements combined for all practical or advertising purposes.

   The envelope being closed and glued as usual, opening is greatly facilitated. tearing along the marginal perforations thus involved
CLAIMS. (1) Envelopes with marginal perforations in the form of a line along at least one edge.

  2. Envelopes with marginal perforations in the form of text along at least one edge.

  3. Envelopes with marginal perforations in the form of a pattern along at least one edge.

  4. Envelopes according to claims 1, 2 and 3 combined for all useful and / or advertising purposes.
