Dans ces dessins: - la figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'un emballage complet; - la figure 2 est une coupe transversale de l'em- ballage de la figure 1; - la figure 3 est une vue en perspective montrant un stade préliminaire de la distribution du corps ou bloc d'aliment à partir de l'emballais des figures 1 et 2; - la figure 4 est une vue en perspective similaire à ce 118 de la figure 3, montrant un stade ultérieur de la dis- tribution du bloc d'aliment; - la figure 5 est une vue en perspective d'un em- ballage complet; - la figure 6 est une coupe transversale de l'em- ballage de la figure 5; - la figure 7 est une vue en perspective illustrant un stade préliminaire de la distribution du bloc d'aliment;
- la figure $ est une vue en perspective similaire à celle de la figure 7 illustrant un stade ultérieur de la distribution du bloc d'aliment; - la figure 9 est une vue en perspective de l'em- ballage complet, montrant ce dernier partiellement retiré de sa botte;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>

According to one of its embodiments, the invention relates to a packaging for soft plastic food, characterized by the combination of a relatively rigid support having a cavity open at the top, of a pocket or reversible bowl formed of a flexible and thin film, carried by said support and extending downwardly into the aforementioned cavity, and a block of soft plastic food placed in the pouch or cup. The packaging according to the invention is characterized, moreover, by the fact that the reversible bag can be separated freely from said support, so that the block of food can be dispensed by first separating the support, then by turning over the pouch with the food block.
In the preferred embodiments, the support has an upper edge around the upper part of the cavity and the film forming the pocket rests at its periphery on the upper edge of the support, the film being, in its entirety. , not connected to the support and freely separable from this support.
In the. An embodiment of the invention illustrated in Figures 1 to 4 inclusive, there is provided a tubular support 10, which may be of cardboard, laminated cardboard, plastic, molded wood pulp or a suitable material. - similar prayed. The purpose of tube 10 is to provide a sup-
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
port for the structure which will be described below.
Tube 10 supports a film 11, which may be of metal foil, such as aluminum foil, tin foil, or other suitable foil. This film can also be made up of treated papers, which have sufficient rigidity to keep their shape, while at the same time being sufficiently flexible to allow the cup formed by this yarn to be inverted to remove the film. 'food. To this end, the paper can be stiffened using materials applied thereto. Likewise, plastic or thermoplastic films in stiffened form can be produced from polyvinylidene chloride, polyamides and various cellulose derivatives, as well as from combinations of these various materials.
Metal foils are particularly suitable for this purpose, since they can be molded, pressed, stretched, bent and pleated, so as to retain almost any shape suitable for the presentation of plastic food. The vertical lines can be flipped or changed to horizontal and sharp lines as well as sharp patterns can be established, so as to keep the soft plastic food in the desired shape without other supporting means.
At the same time, the leaves can be easily removed and easily detached from the food.
The film 11 can be draped or crimped over the. tubular wall 10 and the upper edge of the film can be folded outward and downward, so as to form an annular reborc 12, serving as a hook for firmly fixing the film to the support 10. It will be understood that the support 10 can be square, rectangular or of any desired shape and that the material of the film 11 can be easily folded so as to form
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
a tight gripping flange 12 on the support sides.
The weight of the knife ae the bowl formed by fig. 11 keeps the latter firmly applied to the upper edge of the support, while at the same time the. the rigidity of the sheet or other material forming the string 11 is such that its rim 12 grips the upper edge of the support 10 and this gripping around the upper edge of the support prevents the film forming the tub 11 from being pulled away from the support. support.
Due to the rigidity of the sheet, the direction of the tension or stress exerted downward by the contents, which is substantially vertical, as well as the opposite direction in which the film extends from side to side. other side of the backing wall, just as due to the folded and creased position of the sheet gripping the backing, the sheet itself will tend to break before coming off the backing wall, too. as long as this wall is in the normal vertical position. At the same time, the patterns of the sheet or film forming the cuvette and its contents are free from any contact with the walls of the support, whatever the shocks and jolts received during transport and use.
However, when the receptacle is inverted to remove the contents, the sheet easily detaches from the wall, under the effect of the weight of the food contained therein, so that only the wrapping sheet and the food remain on the plate 13, as shown in Figure 3. The periphery edge that '12 provided at the upper edge of the sheet or film (which becomes the lower edge after overturning on the plate
13) then forms a gripping element, which can be gripped by the consumer to remove the sheet 11 from the food block. The sheet can be kept to cover the unused parts of the alminet block after the meal, with the tube or holder 10 being discarded.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
The container is preferably provided with a cover or sheet cover 14, as shown in the figure.
2, and one side of said covering is preferably extended laterally and downwards, so as to form a gripping mat 14a. The cover 14 may be made of metal foil, plastics, treated napier or other material. - proprietary and may be secured to the supericure portion of the package, as illustrated, by use of adhesive or other suitable means.
When using the packaging, the cover
14 is removed from the container and the latter can be overturned in the manner illustrated in FIG. 3, so as to allow the block of food and the sheet forming the bowl 11 to fall on the plate 13. The consumer is then not allowed to. grasp the outer marginal portion 12 of the sheet, so as to remove it from the feed block as shown in figure 4.
In the embodiment of the invention illustrated in Figures 5 to 8 inclusive, denotes a container, which may be of any suitable material. A container of molded wood pulp or the like, which is porous and in which the pores are very small and are distributed evenly or widely over the surface of the story, is preferably used. A thermoplastic film was pushed into the noreux container 15, so as to form a liner 16 closely fitting the container and the liner thus provided container was re-polished with a soft plastic food 17.
The upper part of the reciter is closed by a cover 18 formed of aluminum foil or metal foil or plastic film. It goes without saying that any suitable covering material can be used to close the upper part of the container and this maceration can be secured.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
to the rim 19 by crimping it around this rim or by attaching it to the latter, for example by heat sealing or by means of an adhesive.
When it is desired to rid the packaging of its contents, the cover 18 is removed and the container 15 is inverted. Since the liner 16 is not attached to the container 15, nor to the rim 19, the entire contents of the container, as well as the liner 16 attached to it, are easily placed on a dish, etc. ... or on a collecting surface, as illustrated in Figures 7 and 8. The liner 16 can be removed from the deposited food block, as illustrated in Figure 8, by gradually detaching it from this block. One will find that the food molded in the liner is deposited without deformation or damage on a plate or other surface and after removal of the film 16, a well molded, intact and undamaged block of food remains.
In the embodiment of the invention illustrated in Figures 9 to 13, as shown more clearly in Figures 10 and 11, the receptacle intended to contain the body or block of soft plastic food is constituted by a vertical tubular support. 20 with open ends, by a reversible pouch or cup 21 formed of a thin thermoplastic film, and by a cover film 22 of thermoplastic material. As shown more clearly in Figures 11, 12 and 13, the pouch or bowl 21 tapers inward and downward from its upper part to its lower part. The pocket or bowl 21 also has a peripheral rim or annular lip 21b, which rests on the upper edge of the tubular support 26, but is not attached to this edge.
As shown in Figure 11, the remainder of pocket 21 extends downwardly into holder 20 at some distance therefrom. if desired, the closed container can be placed in a box 24,
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
as illustrated more clearly in figure 11.
The method of removing the body or block of food from the packaging illustrated in Figures 9 to 13 is similar to that applicable with the packaging structures described above.
The wrapper is removed from the box 24 and removed from the cover sheet 22. The wrapper is then inverted on a horizontal surface, for example on a base 25, as illustrated in figure 12, and the support tubular 20 is removed, next to that the lip 21b of the bowl or pocket 21 is grasped with the fingers, as shown in figure 13, and gradually moves detached from the food body, so that after removal of the film 21 the food block has its ornate outer surface intact.
Although in the foregoing description the mode and structure of packaging according to the invention have been described in certain preferred embodiments and many specific details have been brought to light, those skilled in the art will understand that the invention can be applied. Many of the details described can be applied in various other embodiments and modifications without departing from the scope of the invention.
