Ce dispositif se compose essentiellement d'une suc- cession alternée : 1 .- de longrines en béton armé béton précontraint ou autre matériau, de section sensiblement rectangulaire en plan et de longueur relativement faible, en général de l'ordre de 1 m.50 à 3 m., servant de support aux charges roulan- tes et établies, à cet effet, à ltaplomb de chacune des deux files de rails de roulement, à la suite les unes des autres, avec un certain intervalle libre entre chacune d'elles;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

The present invention relates to a device for laying railway tracks on reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete or other material.
This device is essentially made up of an alternating succession: 1 .- reinforced concrete beams, prestressed concrete or other material, of substantially rectangular section in plan and of relatively short length, generally of the order of 1 m.50 at 3 m., serving as a support for the rolling loads and established for this purpose in line with each of the two rows of running rails, one after the other, with a certain free interval between each of them ;
2 - spacers suitably angled, so as to ensure the correct inclination of the rails and arranged perpendicular
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
lairement at the axis of the track, in the interests :! outriggers, these intervals being reduced to the length necessary and sufficient to install a device for rewashing the track, jack or cylinder, and to receive said spacers, the purpose of which is to maintain the relative spacing and inclination of the two rows of rails.
The rails used being, preferably, of the heavy Vignole type, the fixing of the shoe of these rails on the stringers is carried out by ', means of elastic fasteners, or toads, which can be of various types and of which the present description. and the accompanying drawings give one embodiment. Rigid fasteners similar to those of the metal cross member can be used to fix the spacers to these same pads.
The stability of the stringers; under the action of the lateral forces, is ensured in the following way
The outriggers are inclined 1 / 20th towards the inside of the track; on the other hand ,, the rail is offset, relative to the longitudinal axis of the sill, by approximately 1 of
20th the width of the sill, towards the inside of the track.
By means of these arrangements, the resultant of the forces due to the action of the rolling loads remains practically in the central third of the support surface of the longitudinal member and no spillage is observed either inward or outward. 'outside.
It is also observed that these provisions have the result of making the forces imposed on the spacers extremely low, which makes it possible to reduce their cross-section to the minimum necessary and sufficient to obtain a correct inclination of the two rows of outriggers at the end of the laying. of the way:
. enter the shoe of the rail and the outrigger is, preferably, interposed a plastic sole, by rubber system, either alone or simultaneously

with a metal saddle.
EMI3.1
Finally, the upper face of the stringers can be seen. cut to allow partial embedding of the pad or, optionally, of the metal saddle, and thus improve the stability of the installation.
In addition, the fact that the spacers are not connected to the sill proper but only to the rail makes it possible to solve in a simple manner the problem of the electrical isolation of the two rows of rails.
An embodiment of the device for laying a railroad track on concrete beams, according to the invention, is shown. tee, by way of example, in the accompanying drawings.

<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
In each of these rows, these stringers are one after the other, leaving between them the necessary and sufficient space for the passage of the spacers and the installation of a lifting device for the track. .
As shown in detail in Figure 3, the rail can rest in a notch 4 made on the upper face of the sill, with the interposition of a sole
5, made of elastic material, for example corrugated, embossed, perforated, str ié or corrugated rubber.
The fixing device shown in this case consists of an elastic clip formed by a leaf spring 6 which rests, by one of its ends, on the shoe of the rail 2 and by the other on the sill 1 This clip is drilled with a hole for the passage of a lag bolt 7 sealed in the concrete and onto which the clamping hole 8 is screwed, preferably with the interposition of a washer 9 .
By screwing this nut 8, a pressure is exerted on the blade 6 which tends to bring this blade into the substantially horizontal position shown on the right side of the figure.
It is easy to determine the width, the thickness and the initial curvatures of the blade 6 so as to obtain a pressure. determined on the rail. A round lle provisional or not can be advantageously used to limit the leveling of this blade 6 to a determined value regardless of the tightening force exerted by the hole 8 of the bolt-screw.
,
It will be appreciated that the fastening system according to the invention is elastic in both directions, that is to say that it lends itself equally well to raising and lowering of the rail; we also reserve to apply it to one-way on wooden or reinforced concrete sleepers, with or its interposition of a metal saddle.
It is understood that the en can use any other
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
fastening system ;, elastic @@ no, and by @ ie type "R.N." currently adopted by the French railways or the "elastic spike" used by the Irish railways.
The "R.N." has been shown in Figure 1.
The different fastener shown in Figure 2 is shown in detail in Figure 3.
We also reserve the right to use - concurrently or not with the use of an elastic sole - a metal sole and to provide, if necessary, on the beams, notches intended to receive the attachment system used. .
In the event that it is necessary to electrically isolate the two rows of rails, the bracing can be provided in one of the following two ways:
According to a first embodiment shown in
3a in FIG. 1, the spacer consists of two sections of angle iron which feel suitably bent so as to ensure the correct inclination of the rails and are assembled by bolts with the interposition of 11 of insulating bushes, barrels and washers. according to a second embodiment, which has the advantage of ensuring the insulation at two points, the spacer is formed by an angle 3 (fig. 1), bent so as to ensure the corresponding tilt. rail.
Referring to Figures 4 and 5, it can be seen that its horizontal flange is pierced with circular holes 12 which serve to fasten the rail 2. An insulating sleeve 13 is interposed between the shoe of the rail and the angle iron. The fastening of the rail is provided by a clamp 14, made of insulating material, tightened by a bolt 15 with a square head 16; a thick metal washer 17 re left the pressure of tightening on / the major. part of the surface of the insulating toad.
The drilling of the angle iron may vary depending on the type of rail used and the spacing that is desired.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
give way.
The width of the insulating fur 13 is slightly greater than the width of the horizontal flange of the angle iron and its length slightly greater than the width of the shoe of the rail, in order to ensure perfect separation of the various parts to be electrically insulated; two notches, made on the opposite edges of this fur, engage the bodies of the bolts 15, thus preventing its displacement, lover. In addition, the bore 12 of the spacer is made at a location such that, during tightening, the square head the bolt 15 abuts the center of the vertical flange of the angle iron and thus the rotation of said bolt is prevented.
