LA REALISATION DE CE DISPOSITIF.
La présente invention est relative à un dispositif pour fa- ciliter la distribution d'ouate en bande, comprenant un récipient dans lequel la bande d'ouate est disposée et qui est pourvu d'une ouverture par laquelle on peut extraire la bande.
On connaît un dispositif de ce genre dans lequel le réci- pient susdit se présente sous la forme d'un cylindre plat pourvu d'un couvercle amovible et contenant un boudin d'ouate enroulé en spirale de façon à former une galette d'ouate qui remplit le récipient cylindri- que.
Dans le couvercle susdit, est ménagée une petite ouverture circulaire par laquelle on peut extraire l'ouate, cette ouverture pouvant être obturée lorsqu'on ne se sert pas du dispositif.
Ce dispositif présente l'inconvénient que le boudin d'ouate ne peut que très difficilement être repoussé dans le récipient cylindri- que lorsqu'une trop grande longueur en a été extraite. De plus, l'ex- traction subséquente est souvent rendue difficile.
On connaît également un dispositif dans lequel une masse d'ouate en vrac est introduite dans un récipient cylindrique après enlè- vement du fond amovible de celui-ci. Ce dispositif présente l'inconvé- nient de donner lieu à l'arrachement de morceaux d'ouate de grandeurs très inégales à travers l'ouverture d'extraction ménagée dans la paroi opposée au fond amovible. De plus, l'arrachement est difficile parce que la masse d'ouate en vrac est poussée en permanence contre la paroi dans laquelle est ménagée l'ouverture d'extraction, par un ressort prenant ap- pui contre le fond amovible. L'utilité d'un tel ressort se justifie par

la nécessité de faire avancer vers l'ouverture d'extraction le paquet d' ouate en vrac qui frotte contre la paroi cylindrique.
La présente invention a comme objet un dispositif grâce au- quel on peut extraire facilement à l'aide d'une seule main, à volonté, une quantité substantielle ou négligeable d'ouate, aussi bien quand la réserve d'ouate prévue est maximum que quand il ne reste presque plus d'ouate disponible,
A cet effet, le dispositif suivant l'invention est caracté- risé en ce que le dit récipient contient une boîte parallélipipédique dans laquelle une bande d'ouate est logée, de manière connue en soi, en plis superposés ayant sensiblement la même surface que la section transversa- le de la boîte, en ce que le dit récipient est plus haut que la boîte, en ce que des moyens sont prévus pour empêcher celle-ci de venir se lo- ger contre l'ouverture susdite et en ce que cette dernière présente, pa- rallèlement aux arêtes des plis de la bande,
une dimension un peu plus petite que la longueur de ces arêtes.
La disposition d'une bande d'ouate en plis superposés ayant la même surface que la section transversale est bien connue en soi.
C'est pour conserver les avantages de cette disposition en ce qui con- cerne l'enlèvement à volonté d'une quantité quelconque d'ouate que l'on a imaginé de disposer dans le récipient une boîte paralllipipédique con- tenant une bande d'ouate plissée de cette façon. Mais pour conserver cet avantage, il faut, en outre, empêcher que la partie supérieure de la ban- de d'ouate plissée dans la boîte vienne appuyer contre la paroi dans la- quelle l'ouverture d'extraction est ménagéea C'est pour cela que la boî- te est moins haute que le récipient qui la contient et qu'elle est em- pêchée de venir se loger contre l'ouverture d'extraction.
Enfin, l'ou- verture d'extraction doit avoir une dimension suffisante pour permettre à la bande dépliée de passer facilement à travers elle tout en la frei- nant un peu afin que le bout de la bande d'ouate dont on vient d'arra- cher le dernier morceau reste dans l'ouverture et ne retombe pas à 1' intérieur du récipient.
Suivant une forme d'exécution particulière,la boîte inté- rieure est empêchée de venir se loger contre l'ouverture d'extraction par le fait que le dit récipient présente un corps dont la partie au-dessus de la boîte se rétrécit vers l'ouverture susdite qui, dans la direction perpendiculaire aux arêtes des plis, est sensiblement moins grande que la longueur de ces arêtes.
Dans une forme d'exécution avantageuse qui facilite l'ouver- ture de la boîte intérieure avant son introduction dans le récipient ex- térieur ainsi que le maintien de cette boîte à distance de l'ouverture d' extraction, une des parois de la boîte susdite qui sont parallèles auxplis de la bande d'ouate logée dans la boîte, est solidaire des deux parois latérales le long desquelles se trouvent les arêtes des plis tandis qu'el- le est indépendante des deux autres parois latérales et, en outre, cette paroi est pourvue, dans sa partie médiane, de refoulements parallèles aux arêtes des plis, qui facilitent le déchirement de cette partie médiane et laissent subsister deux volets latéraux après déchirement.
Les refoulements susdits facilitent l'enlèvement de la partie médiane par laquelle la bande d'ouate sort de la boîte et en même temps ils laissent subsister deux volets latéraux qui sont naturellement main- tenus relevés par la bande d'ouate qui se dégage de la boîte et qui vien- nent par conséquent prendre appui contre la paroi dans laquelle est ména- gée l'ouverture d'extraction. Ces volets maintiennent ainsi la boîte à distance de cette paroi.

D'autres particularités et détails de l'invention apparaî- tront au cours de la description des dessins annexés au présent mémoire qui représentent schématiquement, et à titre d'exemple seulement, une forme d'exécution du dispositif suivant l'invention.
La figure 1 est une vue en perspective, après brisure par- tielle, d'une forme d'exécution du dispositif suivant l'invention.
La figure 2 est une vue en perspective, après brisure par- tielle, d'une boîte convenant pour la réalisation de ce dispositif.
Dans ces deux figures, les mêmes notations de référence dé- signent des éléments identiques.
Le dispositif représenté à la figure 1 comprend un récipient
2 qui contient une boîte parallélipipédique 3 dans laquelle une bande d'ouate 4 est logée. Cette bande est disposée, de manière connue,en plis superposés 5 ayant sensiblement la même surface que la section transver- sale de la bande. Le récipient 2 peut être en une matière quelconque mais avantageusement en résine synthétique durcie. Il est plus haut que la boîte 3. Celle-ci est empêchée de venir se loger contre une ouverture 6 ménagée dans la partie supérieure du récipient 2 et par la- quelle on peut extraire la bande d'ouate 4 après enlèvement d'un couver- cle 7. L'ouverture 6 présente, dans la direction dans laquelle s'étendent les arêtes 8 des plis 5 de la bande d'ouate 4, une dimension un peu plus petite que la longueur de ces arêtes.
Pour empêcher que la boîte parallélipipédique 3 vienne se loger contre la partie supérieure du récipient 2 dans laquelle l'ouverture 6 est ménagée, on a prévu que le corps du récipient 2 aille en se rétrécissant vers l'ouverture 6 susdite, au-dessus de l'emplacement occupé par la boîte 3 lorsque celle-ci est engagée dans ce récipient. L'ouverture 6 doit, dans ce cas, présenter ,dans la direction perpendiculaire aux arêtes 8 des plis 5, une dimension sensiblement moins grande que la longueur de ces arêtes.
Par son rétrécissement vers l'ouverture 6, la partie supérieure du récipient 2 sert de butée à la boîte 3 et maintient, par conséquent, celle-ci à la distance désirée de cette ouverture. Le rétrécissement de cette partie supérieure est réalisé de manière progressive. Cette partie a, dans la forme d'exécution représentée à la figure 1, la forme générale d'un demi-cylindre.
Pour permettre l'introduction de la boîte 3 dans le récipient 2, il a été prévu de rendre amovible le fond 9 de ce récipient.
La boîte 3 présente une paroi supérieure 10 et une paroi in- férieure 11 qui sont parallèles aux plis 5 de la bande d'ouate 4. La paroi supérieure 10 est solidaire des deux parois latérales 12 et 13 le long desquelles se trouvent les arêtes 8 des plis 5. A cet effet, elle est constituée de deux parties 101 et 10b qui sont collées l'une à l'autre et qui sont solidaires respectivement des parois latérales 12 et 13. La paroi supérieure 10 est indépendante des deux autres parois latérales 14 et 15. Elle est pourvue dans sa partie médiane de refoulements 16 paral- lèles aux arêtes 8 des plis, qui facilitent le déchirement de cette partie médiane et laissent subsister deux volets latéraux 10d et 10e..
La boîte 3 est également pourvue de deux volets 17 et 18 qui sont disposés à l'intérieur, en-dessous de la paroi 10 pourvue des re- foulements 16. Ces volets 17 et 18 sont solidaires des deux parois laté- rales 14 et 15 dont la paroi 10 n'est pas solidaire.

Chacun de ces deux volets 17 et 18 a une forme telle que si on l'applique en même temps que la paroi 14 ou 15 dont il est solidaire contre la face intérieure correspondante du récipient 2, il couvre la partie de cette face intérieure qui n'est pas couverte par la paroi 14 ou 15 dont il est solidaire. Pendant l'extraction de la bande 4, celle- ci maintient ces deux volets 17 et 18 levés vers le haut et ceux-ci re- poussent les volets 10d et 10e contre la partie supérieure du récipient 2, ce qui empêche également la boîte 3 d'être attirée vers l'ouverture 6 De plus, quand on repousse de l'ouate dans la boîte, les volets 17 et 18 sont entraînés vers le bas par la bande d'ouate et pincent celle-ci entre eux ce qui empêche le boit libre de tomber au fond de la boîte.
Il est évident que l'invention n'est pas exclusivement limitée à la forme d'exécution représentée et que bien des modifications peuvent être apportées dans la forme, la disposition et la constitution de certains des éléments intervenant dans sa réalisation, à condition que ces modifi- cations ne soient pas en contradiction avec l'objet de chacune des reven- dications suivantes.

The present invention relates to a device for facilitating the distribution of cotton wool in a strip, comprising a container in which the strip of cotton wool is placed and which is provided with an opening through which the strip can be withdrawn.
A device of this type is known in which the aforesaid container is in the form of a flat cylinder provided with a removable cover and containing a wadding roll wound in a spiral so as to form a wadding wafer which. fills the cylindrical container.
In the aforesaid cover, a small circular opening is made through which the cotton wool can be extracted, this opening being able to be closed when the device is not in use.
This device has the drawback that it is very difficult for the wadding to be pushed back into the cylindrical container when too great a length has been extracted therefrom. In addition, subsequent extraction is often made difficult.
A device is also known in which a bulk of cotton wool is introduced into a cylindrical container after removal of the removable bottom thereof.
