   WARDROBE TUBE OR ROD.

The object of the invention is a tube or a tubular wardrobe rod, such as those which are supported by corresponding bearing bodies and which serve for example to hang hangers supporting clothing effects, the so-called tubes. or rods being known per se.

Closet tubes or rods almost always have a circular cross-section or approximately I. While it is easy in the first case to rotate the tubes or rods around their axis9 in the second case said tubes or rods change plate or overturn easily. This generally appears to be bothersome and harmful.

The aim of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks.

This is done in the easiest and safest way by using a tube or closet rod having an approximately wedge-shaped cross section.

The object of the present invention is shown by way of example in the accompanying drawing, in which:
Fig.1 shows, in elevation 9, a wardrobe tube, partially represented and resting at its ends in two bearings; Fig. 2 shows a hanger tube bearing in a front elevational view., And
Fig. 3 shows the tube or the wardrobe rod in a cross section and on another scale.

According to the invention, a wardrobe tube or rod a should now have an approximately wedge-shaped cross section, as can be seen from FIG. 3 of the drawings, to prevent an annoying rotation, overturning or change of attitude of said tube or rod. Fig. 3 of the drawings shows a rod which is advantageous.

formed within the limits of its narrow and wide sides, that is to say of its lower and upper surfaces, preferably in a semi-circular shape
The front wall b of the bearing housings c and d, fixed in the usual way in the wardrobe, corresponds in a way corresponding to the profile of the wardrobe tube, provided with a passage opening c1, dl, presenting the same conformation,

that is to say also the conformation of a wedge. Conveniently, the recesses or openings of the bearings are made somewhat deeper, to ensure easy insertion of the tube.

This wedge-shaped wardrobe tube, inserted in a wardrobe tube bearing, provided with a wedge-shaped hole to receive the tube, provides a firm support which becomes more stable as the tube is loaded. wardrobe is larger, so that the wedge shape of the tube forces it to penetrate into the orifice of the bearing which constitutes a conjugate wedge, excluding any play in the bearing, and that the median perpendicular of the profile of the cross-section cannot overturn, which results in the torsional resistance being maximized.

The wardrobe tubes or rods, in accordance with the present invention, therefore do not risk overturning or turning. Their position is constantly the same and they are absolutely not likely to move, especially when loaded. Tubes or trenches of this kind have, moreover, a most pleasant appearance.

   Claims
I- Tube or wardrobe rod, characterized by the fact that it has an approximately wedge-shaped cross section.
