ELECTRISCHE BEIRP:OMP OF' AALPOMP.
Haar aanwending is veelzijdig.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

ELECTRICAL BEIRP: OMP OR 'BALE PUMP.
My invention relates to a device for pumping liquid. This liquid may be oil, water, even thick ale, even semi-liquid mud, etc. Its uses are versatile. By using the screw here protected by this certificate, one obtains an efficiency that is at least three times higher than any other known pump with centrifugal system and of the same size. The efficiency with water and when using a motor with 3/4 RK . and a suction pipe of I 1/2 inch gives at least 800 (eight hundred) lit. per min.
My screw is made from a piece of U-iron, which is sawn on both sides at an angle of 45 degrees, and this in the same direction. This screw immersed in the liquid and turning to the right will bring the liquid, which is always present in its U-shape, to the exit of the sleeve to start the same operation again once past this point. By this subsequent movement and at the desired speed (according to force and power of the engine) the liquid will give a current thrust so that it is possible to send the pumped liquid to a significant height and the distance is practically unlimited. Due to the fact that the U-iron screw rotates very correctly in its sleeve, the liquid has to leave through the opening in the sleeve and this screw itself generates a certain pressure by the above-mentioned installation.
The sleeve in which the screw rotates is made in round shape to which the suction pipe is attached at an angle of 90 degrees; At the bottom, the cup is made with a plaque showing an opening to allow the liquid to enter the U-shape of the screw. This plate is attached to the case by three screws and thus makes the whole assembly demountable and easily accessible for repairs. The tube is supported on a foot consisting of two or three support points which offers the immediate advantage that when pumping a liquid, it prevents stones and other hard objects that may be located on the bottom of the empty surface to be pumped in the tube would penetrate? The screw is located on the connecting rod with a nut. This, in turn, is prevented from loosening by a capillary through the connecting rod.
In order to prevent it from being possible that if the nut were to loosen, the connecting rod would turn alone without the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
To move the screw, the screw is square at the point where the connecting rod enters the screw and the connecting rod and the hole in the cover.
The screw tube described above can best be adapted to the following pump, the whole of which consists of the above-described centrifugal pump which is coupled to a motor by means of a shaft, which is then the drive shaft. A device, in the form of a bobbin, is arranged on this drive shaft, or rather around it.
It is sufficient to wind a cord around this bobbin, so that when the engine is started, manually give the motor a resource by pulling this cord from the bobbin by hand, thus already setting the drive shaft in motion and of course. in this way helping the starting force of the motor to in this way overcome the initial resistance of the liquid to be pumped. The shaft will have a bushing at the point where it is connected to the motor, which is fixed to this shaft by means of a copille and at the top this bush will have an opening in which the shaft of the motor is fixed also held by a copille . Both copilles are located in a hole on the one hand right through the drive shaft and on the other right through the shaft of the motor.
Subsequently, this pump consists of a suction tube which runs straight out at any height above the position of the motor. At the end, this tube has a coupling with the necessary holes. In this way it is possible to attach an extension provided with the same coupling to the bottom part of the pump and this to a length according to the necessity of the circumstances and use. The straight top part of this extension is provided at any height (as needed) with a spout that can be made at a desired angle (usually 90 degrees). The end of this outlet is provided with wire (according to necessity of use) to which extensions can be coupled for the purpose of diverting the liquid. The drive shaft is protected by a tube which is placed over this shaft to protect it against rusting etc.
To some extent this tube is attached by a piece connecting it to the suction pipe, thus giving it a fixed point and a reinforcement. Located at the top of this tube is a sleeve or ball bearing in which the drive shaft rotates. In this bush a hole is made up to the drive shaft. In this hole a grease nipple is located, preferably stauffer system, which ensures regular lubrication to the shaft. The suction pipe is connected to the tube by means of two rods and serving. thus to reinforce the sleeve in particular. The motor is mounted on two cross bars which are fixed on their turn% on a cross bar and which in turn is located on the suction pipe.
These two cross bars have been drilled on the end on which the motor is located and iso easy to disassemble
Summary of characteristics
