@ A simple titre d'exemple, une forme de réalisation de l'invention sera décrite ci-après avec référence au dessin annexé, dans lequel ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Le fonctionnement de l'appareil est le suivant ;

APPARATUS FOR DISAGREGING AND MIXING MATERIALS INTO A LIQUID.
The present invention relates to an electro-mechanical apparatus of simple construction, easy handling and high efficiency, for household and industrial use, for breaking up into fine particles suspended material in a liquid.
According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a rotary pump, driven at high speed by an electric motor, which consists of one or more propellers with two blades, angularly and axially offset and fixed on the shaft of the electric motor, these propellers rotating concentrically in the hollow of a cylinder to cause the entrainment, in the latter, of the liquid and the substances to be mixed,
wherein the materials are chopped and shredded into fine particles by said helices and intimately mixed with the liquid.
@ By way of example, one embodiment of the invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which;
Fig. 1 is an overall view of the apparatus according to the invention showing, in axial section, the pump system of this apparatus; Figo 2 is an end view of said apparatus and
Figo 3 shows, on a reduced scale, this same apparatus introduced into a receptacle containing the liquid and the materials to be mixed.
As shown in Figo 1, the device comprises an electric motor 5, one of the flanges of which is provided with a support handle 6,
in the interior hollow of which is arranged a switch 7 intended to control the passage of the electric current supplied to the motor by the conductors 80
The other flange of the motor 5 is provided with an axial extension 9 inside which the shaft 10 of the motor extends, which extends in the axis of a cylinder 11, the bottom 12 of which, of curved shape is attached to the end of the extension 90
The cylinder 11 is provided, near the bottom 12, with windows 13
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
opening inside a bell 14, fixed between the end of the extension 9 and the bottom 12 of the cylinder 11.
On the motor shaft 10 and inside the hollow of the cylinder 11 are provided propellers 15, with two blades, angularly offset by 90, one with respect to the other and axially separated by spacers 16 A tightening nut 17 is intended to block said blades 15 on the shaft 10.
At mid-height, between the propellers 15, are arranged 'rings 18 forming deflectors, which are fixed transversely in the cylinder 11 to the inner face of the latter.
On the shaft 10 and at the height of the upper edge of the windows 13 is fixed a deflection disc 19 with a diameter slightly smaller than that of the hollow of the cylinder 11.
When the apparatus is immersed in a liquid, the blades forming the low pitch propellers 15 entrain this liquid in the cylinder 11, from where it is expelled through the windows 13. It should be noted, moreover, that the ridges 20 of the blades of the propellers 15 are cut into knives, so as to provide a cutting edge directed in the direction of the rotational movement of said blades.
The operation of the apparatus is as follows;
When using the device, it is connected by conductors 8 to a source of electric current. The device is grasped by hand by the handle 6 and while the switch 7 is actuated, the device is partially immersed in the liquid contained in a container 21, as shown in figure 3. Under the effect. the rotation of the motor 5, which rotates at high speed, of the order of 10,000 to 15,000 revolutions / m. the liquid is rapidly set in motion in the hollow of cylinder 11, under the action of propellers 15.
If it is, for example, the preparation of a soup, the matters in suspension in the liquid, such as vegetables, previously cooked meats or other similar ingredients are entrained in the cylinder 11, where they are. quickly chopped or shredded into fine particles which receive efficient mixing and are therefore intimately mixed with the liquid ,, The mixture passing through the cylinder 11 is rejected through the windows 13, hence the inner face of the bell 14. discharges downwards to avoid projections towards the upper part of the container.
During its passage along the hollow of the cylinder 11, ..- the mixture is constantly returned to the axis of the device, under the effect of the deflectors 18, thus preventing particles of material from being pushed back, by the action of the centrifugal force, towards the inner cylindrical face of the cylinder 11, the deflectors 18 forcing said particles to undergo the inaction of the blades of the successive propellers. ... -.
During the rotation of the pump, formed by the cylinder 11 and the propellers 15, the mixture forced into the bottom of said cylinder hits the deflector disc 19 which, by the action of centrifugal force, rejects the mixture towards the bottom of said cylinder. outside, through the windows 13, thus preventing, under the effect of the pressure developed by the pump, that the liquid does not enter between the axis 10 and the guide thereof formed in the bottom 12 of the pump. cylinder 11.
During the operation of preparing the soup, or other mixture, which is of very short duration, the apparatus is moved by hand in the container 21, so as to form at the same time the stirrer, while the mixture passes through cylinder 11 several times, in the direction shown by the arrows in the drawing so that at the end of the operation the material contained in the container has the appearance of a cream in which it no longer remains no matter which is not disaggregated.
It is understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the drawing, but that numerous constructive modifications could be made to it without departing from the spirit of the invention.
