Afin que l'invention soit bien comprise, on la décrira ci-après avec référence au dessin annexé, donné à titre d'exemple, dans lequel ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MOLDING OF HOLLOW OBJECTS IN PLASTIC MATERIAL.
The present invention relates to the molding and, more particularly, to the demolding of hollow plastic objects inside which is molded a hollow or raised imprint, for example a thread, a groove, a bead. , etc. Its purpose is to make it easy and quick to release the doses of objects, and.- thus to greatly accelerate their manufacture, by simple and inexpensive means.
A molding press is used for this purpose, the punch of which, according to the invention, is contractile so that its contraction allows, once the molded object and the press open, to release the object from the punch. by a simple axial movement
In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the contractile punch is made of three wedge-shaped parts, namely a smooth middle part and two side parts bearing the impressions to be molded inside the object. , these indentation parts being guided parallel to the converging walls of the smooth part so that a relative movement of the parts of the punch, in the axial direction, has the effect of bringing the indentation parts together or apart. .
The objects molded by means of such a contractile punch are characterized in that the thread or other indentation which the punch has molded therein is interrupted in two. diametrically opposed places, corresponding to the smooth faces of the middle part of the punch.
In order for the invention to be fully understood, it will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawing, given by way of example, in which;
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of a press for molding plastic screw-thread capsules, equipped with a contractile punch in accordance with the invention,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Fig. 2 is a similar view of the same press, opened and
Fig. 3 shows a screw-thread capsule, molded by means of this press.
The injection molding press shown in Figs. 1 and 2 comprises an ordinary die 1 with a plastic injector 2, and a contractile punch composed of the smooth middle part 3 and the two side parts 4, 5 bearing the imprint 6 of the thread 7 to be molded inside of the plastic cap 8.
Fixed by a screw 9 to the mold plate 10, the smooth middle part 3 of the punch has a wedge-shaped section whose oblique faces converge towards the die 1. On these oblique faces of part 3 can slide the oblique faces complementary to the two side parts with indentations 4, 5 of the punch which also have the shape of wedges and are each guided parallel to said faces by rods 11, 12 slidably engaged in converging openings 13, 14 of the plate 10. These rods abut, behind the plate 10, on an ejector 15 which can move forward or backward depending on whether the molding press is open or closed.
When the press is closed (Fig. 1), the three parts of the punch are brought together and behave like a one-piece punch during the molding of the plastic material which is forced into the die 1 by the injector 2, to form the capsule-8 And- internal screw thread.
When the press is opened to unmold the capsule, the ejector 15 pushes the rods 11, 12 through the plate 10, which has the effect of moving the lateral parts 4,5 of the punch relative to the middle part 3, which approach each other. as shown in Fig. 2. In this way, the capsule is released and it can be removed from the punch by a purely axial movement, without having to unscrew it as would be the case with a non-contractile punch. The jet is removed in the usual way molding 16 of the capsule.
Fig. 3 shows the internal thread 7 of the capsule interrupted at 17 and 18, at the places corresponding to the smooth part 3 of the punch, the diameter of which is equal to or greater than that of the bottom of the threads of the thread 7 in order to not to interfere with the screwing of the cap on the receptacle it serves to stopper. It will be noted that this is a thread with several threads, requiring complete screwing on the container and not a bayonet-type screw thread that is screwed and unscrewed by a quarter of tower and which in no way offers the same security of closure.
-Instead of a screw thread, we. can obviously also mold any other imprint in hollow or in relief inside the capsule or other hollow object, while ensuring the same ease of demolding thanks to the contractile punch. This can have any shape appropriate to that of the object to be molded and although in general there is no advantage in making the punch in more than three parts, in some cases it may be found useful. to subdivide the side parts and / or the middle part of the punch.
One would obviously not depart from, the invention by making these modifications and others still to the embodiment and to the details of realization which have been described and represented by way of example.
