Improvements to light packaging by reinforcement with independent external reinforcements.
The lightweight packaging in use heretofore, in particular those consisting of folding cardboard containers, have, against their advantages of low weight and ease of storage, the disadvantage. deny that they are not very resistant and prone to deformation and damage during transport. As a result of ligatures, such as strapping or tying, the edges are inevitably damaged. The gummed strip, used to close the cardboard box and which we have to tear off to open it, causes the packaging to lose its new appearance after use.
As regards the reinforcement of containers of this type, an attempt has been made to have a wooden frame inside which, integral with the packaging, prevents the latter from folding when it is to be deposited. , and therefore makes it bulky. In addition, these frames

internal protection only imperfectly the external envelope which remains entirely exposed to the possibilities of degradation.
The present invention relates to an improvement in light packaging characterized by the provision of a reinforcement using easily removable outer frames, very light and independent of the container, including the constituent parts, in the disassembled state, n ' occupy only one, restricted volume.
Thanks to the invention, light packaging is effectively protected against external influences, such as awkward handling, shocks and the like and is able, in most cases, to advantageously replace wooden boxes, which are too heavy. and too expensive, both from the point of view of acquisition and that of spawning! from port to the outward journey of the goods and to the return of the empty packaging.
The resistance of the protective reinforcement, the assembly of which with the receptacle does not require the use of spikes or screws, but being produced by simple ligation, allows, however small the packaging, when the receptacle is a cardboard box, to superimpose the packages without risk of damage by crushing and thus to fully utilize the available volume of the transport vehicles.
Encaton packaging protected in this way can be reused indefinitely, as well as reinforcements.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, several embodiments of the object of the invention in six figures: FIG. 1 illustrates the principle of reinforcement with the aid of an image.
Fig.2 shows a first embodiment of the reinforcement, consisting of a nailed lath, perspective view.
Fig.3 refers to a corner detail along the section plane A B C of Fig.2.
Fig.4 shows the same detail as that of the previous figure, seen along the section D E of Fig.3.
Fig.5 relates to a second embodiment of angles in perspective view and Fig.6 shows in perspective a third embodiment of angles.

In the drawing (Fig. 1) is the actual packaging consisting, for example, of a folding cardboard box, placed between two identical frames with bottoms b and c adjusted between which are placed the uprights d in housings ad hoc of these executives. By means of a ligature e (Fig. 2) the whole is kept rigid. The closing of the cover f (Fig. 1) is automatically ensured since the frame e rests on it. The gummed strip generally used can therefore be omitted.
According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the frame of frames b and c, with an angle-shaped section, projecting beyond the longitudinal edges of the container, is made up of a simple lath, the assembly of which is carried out at the same time. help of tips. The uprights d are placed in the corners, where a housing determined by cleats (Fig. 4) holds them there.
These brackets can, if necessary, extend over the entire length of the frame members (Fig. 3) between the post housings and serve as a reinforcing liner to increase the strength of the frames. These uprights protect the edges of the container at the right of which they are placed.
The box a, once placed in the bottom frame b, we plug the uprights d into the aforementioned housings and we put the upper frame ± which is identical to the frame b. Then we tie the two frames with a string, a wire or a steel band (strip). To open the packaging, it suffices to remove this ligature, an easy operation which does not require the use of a special tool.
On each of the frames b and c, it is possible to fix alternately two of the uprights d using hinges h (Fig. 5) so as to be able to keep them folded down before and after use while ensuring the property of be interchangeable.
Fig. 6 shows an embodiment of the frames in molded light material with a cutout i serving as a housing for the uprights d.
The reinforcement frame can also be made of stamped thin sheet metal.
