1 ) un ensemble d'encombrement et de poids réduits au strict minimum assurant une très grande capacité de chargement;
2 ) la possibilité d'évacuer le dispositif lors d'un minage et de le remettre rapidement et facilement en place;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
2 ) par le fait que le transporteur proprement dit est rattaché à la tête motrice par un axe horizontal permettant de charger à des hauteurs différentes;
La figure 1 est une vue schématique latérale du dispositif comple t; la figure 2 en estune vue en plan;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

"Loader belt intended for underground work in mines".
The present invention relates essentially to a loading device which can be used in all excavations of underground galleries: steers, coasts, etc.
The goal achieved by the device, object of the invention, is threefold, because it achieves both:
1) a set of dimensions and weight reduced to the strict minimum ensuring a very high loading capacity;
2) the possibility of evacuating the device during mining and putting it back in place quickly and easily;
3) the option to continue laying the coating (metal frames or timbering) or any other routine work during the loading work.
These characteristics are obtained by a simple, efficient and economical mechanical device. It consists of trais
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
essential parts: a power head, a fire transport itself, the assembly's mobile support device and the thruster.
The apparatus is obviously supplemented by essentially variable secondary elements.
The device, object of the invention, behaves, in main order, of a suitable conveyor belt, arranged between the level of the ground considered and a driving head extended by a weir placed at the height of the carts to be loaded. The power head has an extremely low height and is essentially characterized:
1) by the fact that it is transversely movable around a substantially vertical pivot, so that it is possible to carry out the loading of the cuttings in a uniform manner with very reduced fatigue, the point of loading being able to s 'approach and move away from the inner side walls of the gallery (steerer, level track etc.) and remaining uniformly at the same distance from the ground.
This arrangement therefore makes it possible to place the entire transporter obliquely with respect to the axis of the gallery, and without altering the normal conditions of loading or of the discharge.
2) by the fact that the transporter itself is attached to the drive head by a horizontal axis allowing loading at different heights;
3) finally, the assembly can be equipped with a device propelling the full trolley and replacing it with an empty trolley, thus ensuring absolutely continuous loading.
In order to clearly highlight the essential characteristics of the invention, an embodiment of the loading device is described in detail below, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which
Figure 1 is a schematic side view of the complete device; Figure 2 is a plan view;
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
FIG. 3 is a longitudinal section through the drive head of the device; Figure 4 is a plan view of the power head; Figure 5 is a side view of the free end of the conveyor device; Figure 6 is a section taken on the line VI-VI of Figure 3; Figure 7 is a section taken along line VII-VII of Figure 5.
According to the invention, the loading device therefore consists essentially of a conveyor belt 1, suitably suited to the material which it is called upon to transport.
According to one embodiment, for example for the application of the device in coal mines, the conveyor belt could have a width of the order of 500 to 660 mm.
To achieve good mechanical resistance, it could be made in four plies of canvas, with a 2 mm rubber coating. thick on each side. It is useful in this application case to precisely define the characteristics of the belt, especially given the abrasive nature of the materials to be transported. For example, it would be advantageous to ensure that the rubber adheres to the canvas in excess of 30 kilos / 5 cm. for a detachment speed of 30 cm per minute. The characteristics of the rubber will advantageously be the following: rupture 2.5 kilos / mm2 and elongation 600% on a standard test piece.
As indicated in the accompanying drawings, the conveyor belt 1 is carried by rollers, such as 2, arranged in groups V pe of two / or in groups of three in a bucket, for widths of
660 mm (figure 6). These arrangements are well known per se and are intended to bend the belt transversely, in order to constitute a sort of mobile trough, which makes it possible both to increase the loading height and to maintain the belt more easily. the mass transported on the belt.The rollers are themselves
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
supported by an appropriate frame, the constitution of which can be essentially variable. The transporter thus produced is characterized in the main order by a drive head 3.
This is supported by an ordinary mine cart 4, slightly transformed and at the same time serves as a support for the drive motor (not shown), which is placed on a side chair 5 or in any other place deemed suitable. This engine can be, in principle any one, but preferably will be a compressed air engine of the turbinair type with a power generally of the order of 2 CV for an average installation. This motor can drive the roller of the driving head to the intervention of any transmission device, but preferably a Galle chain of suitable dimensions.
The essential characteristic of the power head 1 is that it can pivot transversely on either side of the longitudinal median plane of the carriage 4. The amplitude of this rotation is variable, but will generally be between the maximum limits of plus or minus This rotation takes place around a front pivot 6, placed in such a way that whatever the orientation of the conveyor itself, the point of diversely remains unchanged. The orientation of the power head can be manual or made automatic. It is possible to provide a continuous reciprocating movement of this drive head, or else, it may be provided that this drive head will only be moved wisely, at the will of the operator.
The loading end of the conveyor is suitable, so as to facilitate the loading of the belt, for which purpose the frame is profiled so as to present a rational base 7 of extremely reduced height and to realize a loading hopper by the adaptation of inclined sheets 8.9 along and over a certain distance from the conveyor belt.
In this way, a normal loading of the belt is ensured by forcing the material to move towards the axis of the latter and,
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
on the other hand, the introduction of material between the mobile elements of the device is reduced as much as possible. As the fatigue of the loading operation depends essentially on the height of this seat 7, this height has been reduced to the strict minimum.
So as to allow easy and correct installation, whatever the mass and thickness of the cuttings to be removed, the seat
7 can be moved in a vertical plane with the whole conveyor, thanks to the pivots 6a carried by the driving head, at the place where the conveyor is attached to the driving head.
In general, all moving parts will be protected as far as possible against the introduction of foreign matter and in particular abrasive materials liable to destroy them.
It will therefore be noted that by the original arrangement of the mechanical elements which constitute this loading device, it is possible to ensure extremely efficient work in the gallery by allowing rapid and complete loading of the cuttings. A judicious organization allows a continuous loading to be established. by ensuring the almost instantaneous replacement of the loaded trolley by an empty trolley. This replacement can be facilitated by the addition under the carriage carrying a propellant piston. On the other hand, the extremely small size of the device, which is the subject of the invention, allows normal work in the gallery, in particular to continue timbering or drilling operations and all the other routine work generally carried out in the tunnel. the digging of galleries.
During mining or generally any work requiring the removal of material from the front of the drifts, the device, object of the invention, can be almost instantaneously removed, without complex maneuvers, and without difficulty. In marl conditions, it can be quickly put back in place, in working order.
It is understandable that the embodiment described in detail and shown schematically in the accompanying drawings, should not be
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
considered as an exemplary embodiment liable to undergo numerous construction variants in its various elements. For example, the dimensions of the forearm and the position of the engine could be modified so as to adapt them to the various typical cases of application.
