<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

Descriptive memorandum filed in support of a patent application BLOWER TUYAUTAGE
The present invention relates to a blower piping.
In all industries in which pipelines are used to suck up or push back various materials: sawdust, dust, flour, etc ... or air or other gases, vapors, fumes, etc. Difficulties are encountered when fitting the pipes.
These, in general, of a rather large diameter and of a relatively small thickness, are not bent purely and simply to avoid the obstacle; they are made, in the place determined by the circumstances
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
using slices specially calculated to fit the desired shape and stapled or welded to each other.
It obviously follows a long, delicate job which requires very precise dimensions and which can only be carried out by specialist workers.
This work becomes particularly expensive when the assembly to be operated is at a great distance from the place of manufacture.
The object of the piping according to the invention is to simplify the installation of pipes of this kind. It is composed of a series of tubular sections each comprising a main cylindrical body and, at one or each of the ends of this body, an assembly element also cylindrical, inclined with respect to the axis of the main body and intended to fit into or onto a similar element provided at the end of the adjacent section.
The invention is further characterized in that the respectively male and female interlocking elements of two adjacent sections are provided by crimping with complementary circular assembly moldings.
When all these cylinders are arranged so that the larger generator of one succeeds the smaller of the other and so on, the whole forms a straight pipe.
It is understood that by rotating each slice in the chosen direction and of equal or variable importance depending on the case, the shape of the assembly will be completely changed.
This is how we can make it affect a partial circumference or a sinusoidal curve.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
In this way, the assembly of the pipes will be greatly simplified. The worker on site and without needing, as in the past, to manufacture a special elbow, will be able to give the pipe the appropriate shape to avoid any obstacle that it is likely to encounter, with ease, precision and speed.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which follows in re. Gard of the accompanying drawing which shows, schematically and simply by way of example, various embodiments of the invention.
In this drawing: Fig. I is the side view of a section or section of piping established according to one of the embodiments of the invention.
Fig. 2 shows, in a longitudinal section, the assembly of two sections.
Fig. 3 shows, by way of example, one of the shapes that a part of pipe composed of pipe sections according to the invention can give.
Fig. 4 shows a hose clamp.
The pipe section or section shown in this example comprises a cylindrical body I and two assembly elements 2, 3, also cylindrical, provided at the respective ends of the sections.
As shown, the axes 4,5 of the two cylinders that constitute the body of the cylinder and each assembly element are inclined at a small angle to each other, that is to say that the plane 6 along which the two cylinders are connected is oblique with respect to the axis of each of them.The elements 2, 3 preferably have a length just sufficient to ensure a good assembly, by interlocking, between the elements adja -

cents of two sections to be assembled, the end 2 of each of them being, for this purpose, preferably, located in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the element as shown.
The adjacent elements of two sections intended to be assembled have, of course, slightly different diameters, since they must constitute two complementary interlocking elements respectively male and female.
Fig. 2 shows such an assembly. The connecting element of the section! is a male element and fits into the female element 2 'of an adjacent section I'.
To complete the assembly, the two elements are preferably provided by crimping with a molding constituting an internal groove and an external rib, as shown.
We realize that we can, by making the various sections toarnez with respect to each other at angles suitably chosen in one or the other direction, obtain pipes of very different shapes in the same plane or in the 'space. In fig. 2, the section I 'occupies, relative to the section I, a position such that the piping obtained by assembling these two sections is approximately rectilinear. If the axes of the two assembly elements of the various sections are located in the same plane and inclined on the same side of the axis of the main body, as in the example of FIG.
I, it will be possible, where appropriate, to establish a straight pipe of any length by assembling sections of this type having their assembly elements rotated alterna. tively upwards and downwards, the axis of the successive sections being, however, slightly shifted upwards and downwards, alternately.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
This relative position of the sections is one of the two extreme positions that they can occupy with respect to each other.In this position, the shorter upper generatrix of the male cylindrical element 3 coincides with the upper generator. the longest of the female element 2 ', The dashed lines 8 represent the second of the two extreme positions, the section I' then being rotated by 180 with respect to the section 1 and the relation of the generators being the inverse of the Between these two limit positions, the section I 'can be inclined at any angle relative to the section I, the crimping moldings guiding the elements in their rotational movements.
This is how we can give the whole of a pipe any desired shape such as part of the circumference or a sinusoidal curve (fig. 3).
Fig. 4 shows a clamp which can be used to fix two parts of a pipe to one another, such as an elbow made up of sections according to the invention, to a straight pipe, this clamp being provided for this purpose, with moldings similar to those of the assembly elements.
It goes without saying that this embodiment of the invention has been described and shown only for explanatory and in no way limiting and that various modifications could be made to it without departing for this from the scope of the invention. Thus, it is not essential that all the sections of a pipeline are identical; it is possible to provide special sections of different lengths, sections comprising only one assembly element, sections of which one of the assembly elements is inclined at an angle or (and) in a plane different from the other, etc., several modifications of this kind which can moreover be combined or joined together in the same pipe section.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
Similarly, it is obviously not essential that the two assembly elements of a section are one male, the other female, since the piping according to the invention could be produced using two series of tubular sections. , male and female respectively.
As for the setting, it can also be obtained using one or more moldings. These can be of conical, spherical, angled, rectangular, trapezoidal shape, etc., without any resulting inconvenience.
Just as the number of edges and moldings as well as the shape of the latter may vary, the metal used does not matter: copper, tinned or galvanized iron, etc ... and, in general, all materials suitable for a crimping identical to that described are called to be used.
