ETAU PARALLELE A ECROU IMMOBILISABLE.
EMI1.1

PARALLEL VICE WITH IMMOBILISABLE NUT.
EMI1.1
mrr..ww..w..wrwwrrrrrrwwwwrwwwrwrwwwrrr
The present invention relates to a parallel vice by the design of which it is not necessary to remove the fixed part of the workbench to proceed with a replacement of the nut in the event of wear, in addition to that, during service. this nut is free from play at the fulcrum thanks to the device which will be described. In support of the descriptive text, this invention is shown by way of non-limiting example by Figures 1 and 2 of the appended drawing which shows the application to a vice, the characteristic parts of which are seen in section, respectively in front and profile elevation.
This vice, whose jaws are designated by m m while the clamping plates of the workpieces, are designated by the, will preferably be made of neck steel with forged steel V screw and nut e. in bronze. Its by

p forming a body with its fixed jaw and having two large flat surfaces against which the nut abuts at a and a 'when it is tightened. Then, its immobilization after tightening is ensured by making a perforation in its thickness through which a bolt b which also passes through the nut holder: it results from this assembly that the nut can no longer move.
An important advantage derives from the fact that the traction which is exerted by the screw on the vice jaw acts parallel to the displacement of the latter, in addition to that of having the force of the screw supported by a much larger surface than in the case of already known vices; any jamming of this screw is made impossible thanks to the fixing rigidity of the nut and the wide range of its support. No play can occur in the latter, the nut being cast in the mass.
Another advantage inherent in this device lies in the great ease of replacing the nut if necessary.
CLAIMS.
